Bonus Chapter

“Frogs. Do you love frogs too, Mister?” It came from a small voice from a very small boy. His eyes are filled with innocence. He Lifted his head to have a better look at Wyn as he asked him about frogs.
“He's adorable” I mumbled while smiling at my friend's kid. I gave a prolonged gaze towards Wyn and mouthed my word of a compliment on Warren's child.
Wyn only smiled back at me. He lowered his body, bended his knees to level with the sunshine's face in front of him. With soft eyes he opened his mouth to say something. “I do. But I'm afraid of them.” He said, raising his hand to pat Ray's son on his head.
It is the truth that Wyn is indeed scared of frogs. We once strolling around the personal property of his uncle and went walking through, walked around the lake. We saw a bunch of big-eyed and frogs who looked riched with fatty acids. I can still remember how he used me as a shield for that particular bigger than the average frog we saw leaping near us. He was trembling and looked pretty scared. And he can't seemed to stand a minute being near that thing. With closely-tight eyes and a trembling hand he managed to pull me off, away from the direction of where that big frog is.
I stared at him once again. He's giving me one of his frowns this time.
We're currently doing a baby-sitting. I shouldn't have used that word. It is not a baby-sitting since the child that is in front of us is no longer a baby. We're currently looking after my friend's son Ryan.
“You love frogs, and you're afraid of them? Why???” Eyes in question he asked Wyn about him being afraid of frogs.
He suddenly grinned after hearing Ryan. “Are you hungry?” He ushered at him.
I know he only did that for him to not do some explaining on what frogs did that made him somewhat traumatized to be around them. Moving his head, his eyes are now staring at me. Giving me the look that he needs some help convincing Ryan to divert his attention in something else instead of asking about his fear of this amphibian specie.
“Alright.” I moved my legs to be closer to them. Squatting my legs I stared at Ryan. “Do you want to eat something? We'll get you any food you like.”
“Anything? Anything that I want huh. You promised you'd get me what I want?” How cute. This child is adorable.
“Anything, Ryan. You can now start thinking on what you want to have. We'll buy it for you.” I didn't budge from my squat even though I can feel the pressure on my thighs. Which I think is not a problem, at least I got some form of exercise from doing this.
“So what does Ryan want to eat?”
We're watching him as he played with the kids on the park. He didn't ask for anything but ice cream. We went to get him to have one and after eating it he just straightly went ahead, and now he is happily sliding down the slide. Laughing with the other kids.
And Wyn and I, were sitting on the bench waiting for him to be finished.
“Do you want to have kids?” I stared at Wyn. His eyes are scanning me. He seemed to not be comfortable with the question he said.
“I know it's hard. It's hard to have bear a child. Being pregnant isn't easy as to what Mom said. But— do you want kids someday, Fari?” He added.
I averted my gaze, removing my eyes off him to stare at the kids that are happily playing around. Do I want one? Yes. But not for now.
“I want one. But we still have plenty of time to plan for it, Wyn.” I answered and he showed me a smile after hearing what I said.
“You're right. We still have plenty of time. I just want to know if you ever want a child of our own.”
Child birth, pregnancy, and the result after having the baby I never wanted to be put in a situation like that back then. My parents marriage is chaotic.
“Of course, I want it. It's just, I am scared.”
“Scared of what?” Wyn checked on my expression and keeping an open mind to the next statement that he will be hearing from me.
“That someday we'll have regrets about our lives.” I responded honestly.
My parents always never failed to let us hear what's going on with their heads as they fought together. They never failed to remind us of their regrets being married to each other and their wished that somehow they get married.
My brother Flairion was annoyed by it. He doesn't like hearing it, so he pretended he never heard them talking about it.While for me, my parents words got stucked in my head and seems to not get out of my mind for ages. And I have been carrying it until now.
“Is it because of your parents?” Wyn asked with a soft gaze for me.
“Yes.”
He opened his mouth again to say something when;
“This is my Aunty Fari and my Uncle Wyn.”
We heard Ryan talk and our eyes directly went towards his way.
A cute little girl, wearing a flowy sun dress with dandelions scattered all over it waved her hands at us before moving her mouth to smile.
“Hello.” She mumbled using her cute voice. She looks adorable that I want to immediately stand up and walked towards her to squish her cheeks and pinch both sides.
“Are they your parents?” It was from another kid who approached them while staring at us.
“They're not. They are my Aunt and Uncle.”
I smiled after hearing Ryan. And leaned my head to whisper something in Wyn's ear. “Are we that old already? We're now an “aunt” and an “uncle”.”
Ryan's lip moved, he smiled at me. He didn't say something and instead keep on smiling at me.
He didn't gave me an answer and instead dipped his head and gave me a peck on the cheek. My annoyance melted away because of what he did.
I was supposed to tell him my rant because he didn't say something about what I said but then I received this gesture for him which is completely unexpected. And I am honestly loving it.
“Sweet.”
“Can we get another kiss?”
The kids were cheering for us. I playfully smack Wyn's shoulder. He just smiled at me in return, putting his hand around my shoulders.
