"Now it make sense." Said Janice after reading Ahliya's messages.
We're in the library now, the safest place where we can talk about this matter.
"What are you going to do now?" She asked.
"I don't know. Stay away from Matthew? Or just ignore her? I am not sure. But one thing is I am sure of, she'll bully me and the rest of the students will support her."I said.
"You know what? That girl is crazy. She rejected Matthew right? Now that he's not bothering her anymore, she'll act like that because Matthew became close with some else and he did not chase her like he always do." Janice said. She even rolled her eyes out of irritation. "Seems like Matthew already realize that she's chasing a wrong girl." She added.
"Don't mind her. You're just stressing yourself." I said to calm her.
"Anyway, you're right. She doesn't deserve my precious time." She said then she flipped her hair that made the both of us chuckle. She's really a mood setter.
I look at my wrist watch to see what time is it now and saw that we only have fifteen minutes and the next class wil begin.
"We only have fifteen minutes before the next class starts. Let's go now." I announced.
"Really? That fast? Ahhhh! I feel so drained. I don't want to attend my next class." She said then she leaned her head in the table.
"C'mon, Janice. We have to study so we can have a better future." I said then I pushed her head up.
"Can't we rest even just for now?" She complained and was about to lean her head in the table again but I stopped her. I caught her head and I pushed it up again.
"It's not the right time to rest. We have weekends you can rest at that time you know. Now let's go. Getting late in our class is not a good idea." I said then I pulled her up and dragged her towards the exit.
"Why so serious in life, Miel? You're still a teenager. Just enjoy for now." Janice said but I did not mind her.
We are heading towards our classroom now when someone suddenly put her foot in front of me so I tripped and fell exactly on the dirt.
"Miel!" Janice called then she immediately went towards me to help me get up.
"Opsse. Sorry not sorry." Said Ahliya.
"What are you doing?" Janice irritatedly said.
"Hey." I softly called Janice and I get up. "Don't mind her. Let's go now." I said that made her mad.
"What?! Look at you! She did this to you and you won't do anything about it?" She complained.
"I don't want you to get into trouble, Janice." I said then I pulled her away from them.
"Go on and run, loser!" Ahliya shouted.
"That bitch!" Said Janice and was about to go back there to fight with Ahliya but I held her face usung my two palms and made her face me.
"I don't want you to get into trouble. Please, don't make me worry." I said that made her stopped. Her emotions suddenly change and she became sad. It's like a tiger turning to a little kitten.
"I just don't want to see you like that. If you can't defend yourself, I'll do it for you." She explained.
"I appreciate that but I don't want to dragged you into this mess. I don't want them to involve you here. You have nothing to do with this." I explained.
"But we are best friends, I should protect you." She said.
"You by my side is enough. Calm down now and let's go to our class." I said. I was about to hug her when she suddenly stopped me.
"Ew! I don't want to change, Miel! Don't hug me." She complained which made me chuckle.
"Fine. I'll change first." I said then we went to the locker room.
While walking, I feel strange that it's so quiet in the hallway since students are usually scattered here during break time.
"Isn't it strange? It's so quiet here." I whispered to Janice.
"I don't know maybe they're watching Matthew and his friends in practicing basketball that's why." She said then we continue on walking.
"That makes sense anyway." I said.
Yes. Matthew, Carl and Angelo are currently in training for the division intramurals this coming week that's why we did not ate lunch together and I can see that it's the ideal time for Ahliya to bully me. I just hope that I'll be able to survive everything that she will do to me.
We are already in the locker room. I was already near the door when I see a white rope in it.
I think I already now what will happened next. Everything happened so fast. I pushed Janice so the white paint above will all fall on me.
"Ouch!" Janice exclaimed after she fell on the floor then the paint all fell directly on me.
"Miel!" She shouted then she immediately went towards me.
"Woohoo!!!! Oh my God!" I heard someone shouted then it followed by loud laughters from the students around us who are hiding a while ago. Now there are a lot of cameras and they're all filming me.
"You deserve it flirt!"
"That's what you get from being delusional, ugly nerd!"
"Are you okay?" Janice worriedly asked.
"Yes. How about you? Did I hurt you?" I asked then I checked her.
"No. I'm fine. Let's go. You need to wash yourself first. We're gonma be late for sure but that's okay. It's an emergency anyway. You can't go to your classroom like that." She said. We were about to go inside the locker room when the students suddenly became silent and we heard a sound of heels approaching us.
"Who did this?" Asked Ahliya. Yeah. The sound of that heels are from Ahliya.
All of the students became quite no one is talking that made Ahliya mad. Students were afraid of her because she's the rumored daughter of the owner of the school but there are no evidence that it's really her. I do not also think that the rumor is true.
"Do I have to repeat my question?" She asked that made the students point their finger to Lucas.
"You?" I suddenly said while looking at Lucas.
"What?" He asked while looking at me as if he's not afraid that I already know who did this.
"You're such an immature." I said that made him mad. He was about to do something bad on me when Ahliya suddenly spoke.
"Enough." She said that made Lucas stop from walking towards me. "I like what you did." She added then she walks towards the girl who is holding a scissor. "But I should be the one to hurt her." She said then she went to the rope of the bucket above the door then she cutted it. I immediately run away from the door because the bucket is falling. Unfortunately, it still hit my right leg.
Damn! The bucket is heavy! It's hurts so much!
I remained standing, forcing myself to ignore the pain but I failed. I lost my balance and I fell on the floor.
"What the fuck is your problem?!" Janice shouted to Ahliya.
"What?" Ahliya said as if she did nothing wrong. "Don't be mad. I'm just helping your friend to realize that a poor girl like her should stay in the ground." She said then she glared at me. "She should not be dreaming of being with someone wich is a lot higher that her." She added then she rolled her eyes on me.
"Who said that she's poor? She's obviously richer than you." Janice said that made me shock. Does she know?
"Richer? Are you kidding me?" Ahliya said, mocking me.
"I'm not talking about wealth. I am talking about values and wisdom. She's rich with that while you don't have even a little of it that's why you're acting like this." Janice shouted. She's really mad. "You know what? I honestly think that it's you who's a trash here and not my friend. She's so Angelic while you, your personality is a trash. Everything about you is a trash." She added that made Ahliya mad.
"How dare you." Ahliya said and was about to slap Janice when Angelo held her hand to stop her.
"That's enough, brat." He said then he threw away Ahliya's hand harshly.
"Ouch!" She exclaimed but Angelo did not mind her.
"Are you okay?" He asked Janice.
"Yes. But Miel..." Janice said then they both went towards me.
"Call Matthew and tell him this." Angelo ordered to the girl beside her.
The girl was too stunned to speak because Angelo talked to her so she just stand there while staring at Angelo.
"Are you deaf? I told you to tell Matthew to go here." He repeated that made the girl came back to her senses and immediately follow what Angelo said. Then he checked me.
"You have a big bruise in your leg." He announced. He was about to lift me up when someone came running.
It's Matthew.
Ahliya looked at her like she was so sure that Matthew will come to him but he just passed by her.
"What?!" She exclaimed. She can't accept that Matthew did not give her any attention. He just run towards me so Ahliya walked out of the scene.
"Are you okay?" Matthew asked.
"It h-hurts." I said pointing my leg. "I can't get up." I added.
"This is big." He said when he saw my bruise. "You need to clean yourself first." He said then he lifted me. He went inside the girls locker room and ordered Angelo to get a chair and place it inside the shower which Angelo immediately followed.
He entered inside the shower room while Angelo went out to check Janice.
"Sit here." He said then she helped me sit in the chair.
"Matthew." I called.
"Hmmm?" He said then he took off my glasses. He wet his hand with water then he wiped my face using it.
Is he planning to wash my body?
I covered myself using my hands because of what I thought.
He became confuse of what I did but seconds after, she suddenly laugh.
"It's not what you think." He said then he continue on wiping my face. "I'm just going to clean your face. Then you'll be washing yourself after. I'll put the things you need near you so you can easily get them. While the towel, just call Janice for that." He explained. " It's done. Now wash yourself. Don't worry about the next class. All the faculty members are having a meeting so the classes were suspended this afternoon. Go on. I'll go out now." He said. He went out of the shower room then he closed the door so I started to wash myself.
I was busy brushing my thigh using a scrub when I saw my bruise in my leg. I stared at it and I touched it lightly.
"Do I deserve this?" I asked to myself.
