It's been a tiring day. Dad brought us to an ocean park and we enjoyed the day. Although I was not able to go to all the beautiful spots there, I still enjoyed it since I missed having a bonding with my parents so much and I'm happy that Dad made time for this.
I'm here inside my comfort room. I just finished taking a half bath. I opened the door and slowly walk towards my bed. I can walk alone now and I already told mom that I'll attend classes tomorrow already and thankfully, she agreed. However, she insisted that I should be with one of our maids to make sure that I'll be alright. So I told her that Janice will take care of me and yes, I made it. She agreed on what I've said since she already know who Janice is.
I lie down on my bed and closed my eyes, preparing to sleep when I suddenly remember that I haven't replying anything to Matthew yet.
Oh God!
I immediately get up and reached for my phone in my bed side table. I opened my ChatsF application and saw that Matthews is active 3 hours ago and he has a lot of messages to me again.
"You're absent today."
"I've been looking for you."
"You're not replying either."
"Did something happen?"
"Hey."
"I'm mad. But of course I'm worried too."
"But I'm really mad."
"Aww. I'm sorry." I said while reading his messages. I click the reply button and replied to him.
"I'm sorry. Mom went to my room last night and we ate dinner together and she told me to rest already after eating so I wasn't able to reply to your messages."
"And today, we went to a doctor to check my leg. The doctor said that I'm fine. In fact, I can walk alone already."
"I'm really sorry. I'll sleep now. See you tomorrow."
"Goodnight."
I smiled then I placed my phone in the bed side table again and I turned off my lampshade. I lie down on my bed again and prepared to sleep.
"Miel!" Called Janice when I went outside of our car. I messaged her a while ago while I'm preparing to go to school because mom said that she'll come with us in our way on my school. So I informed Janice so Mom will see that there's someone to take care of me.
Janice run towards me and she carefully hugged me.
"Hey... How are you feeling?" She asked while hugging me.
"I'm fine now. Don't worry." I answered.
"Oh, Auntie. You're here too." Janice said, not making it obvious that I already told her that I'm with Mom.
"Good morning, Auntie." he went closer to Mom and she hugged her too.
"Hello, Janice. It's nice to see you again." Mom said then she caressed Janice's hair.
"You too, Auntie. It's nice to see you again." She said then she let go of the hug.
"Oh. You're going to be late. Get inside now." Mom said after looking at her watch.
"Yes, Mom." I said then I hugged her.
"Good bye, Darling." mom said then she kissed me in my forehead. "Take care, okay?" She added which I answered with a nod then she looked at Janice.
"Janice, may I ask you a favor?" Mom asked.
"Of course, Auntie. What is it?" Janice answered.
"Can you please look after Miel? She can walk alone now but in case she needs help, I hope you'll help her." Mom said which Janice answered with a nod.
"Of course, Auntie. Even if you did not told me to do it, I'll still do it." Janice said that made Mom smile.
"Thank you, Janice." Mom said softly. "Go now. Study well for your future, okay?" She added. Janice and I nodded then we walk towards the gate and entered the school.
"Hey. You didn't tell us that you're going to skipped class yesterday. Matthew's been looking for you and he seems to be mad now." Janice whispered while we are walking towards the building of our classroom.
"Yeah. I wasn't able to reply to all of his messages too. I actually can feel that he's mad too." I answered.
"God! Why didn't you replied? Now I know why he's so irritated yesterday----Oh My God!" Janice exclaimed when a ball of basketball suddenly bounce in front of us and that's when we realized that we're already on the hallway beside the basketball court.
"Speaking of." Janice suddenly said then a man took the ball in front of us.
"M-Matthew." I called. He's face is so serious that I'm afraid to even call his name.
"It's good that you're here now. I'll gotta go." He said while not looking at me then he went back to the court.
I pouted when he just walked out like that. He's really mad. I stared at him for a while and saw that they're already preparing for their practice this morning.
"See? He's mad. Well I understand him. You skipped classes yesterday and you're not replying to his messages. He'll probably be mad since he's worried about you." Said Janice.
I looked at her and I heaved a sigh.
"Mom's with me all day. I can't reply to him." I said then I looked down.
"Ah! That's why. Well it's okay. Just talk to him later in our break time. He won't resist you for sure." Janice said then she caressed my back to comfort me.
I looked at her and said. "Thank you." Then I smiled at her.
"You're always welcome. Let's go now. We're gonna be late if we stayed here for too long." Janice said then we both started to walk again towards our classroom.
Five hours have passed and I wasn't able to understand anything of what our teachers are teaching us. All I'm thinking is Matthew because he's mad at me. How can I make it up to him?
"Why is it so hard?" I said then I placed my face in my palm and I heaved a sigh.
I'm still here in our classroom, waiting for Janice because our last teacher dismissed us ten minutes early and Janice class is not yet over.
"Hey!"
I blink my eyes continuously when someone grabbed me in my hand.
"Oh Janice, you're here already? It's still--- what? It's already 11:35. Fifteen minutes have passed already. Really? That fast?" I exclaimed out of surprise.
Oh God. Guess that I'm really spacing out.
"Yes and I've been calling you outside for many times yet you can't hear me. You're spacing out." Janice said while holding her waist that made me surprise.
"Really? I'm sorry about that." I said then I held my head out of frustration.
"I guess that you did not listen to the four classes that you have attended a while ago. You're obviously thinking about Matthew." She added.
It is true. I can't concentrate a while ago and all that I am thinking is how can I make it up to Matthew. I even remembered that in our fifteen minutes recess time a while ago, I've been wanting to go to the basketball court and talk to Matthew but Janice stopped me, saying that fifteen minutes are not enough to make everything alright between me and Matthew.
ARGHHH!
"Janice, may I asked you a favor?" I asked Janice.
"What? You want us to go to the basketball court before eating lunch?" Janice asked like she was so sure about it.
"Y-yes." I said, hesitant to talk because I am shy.
"Fine. We'll go there first so you can calm down now." She said which made my eyes twinkle.
"Thank you so much!" I said then I hugged her tight.
"Aw! Miel let go! I can't breathe." She complained so I immediately let go of her.
"I'm sorry." I said then I gave her a big smile, showing all my teeth to her.
"Ugh! You're really crazy." She complained. "Let's go now." She said then she grabbed my hand and she started to walk slowly towards the basketball court so my leg won't hurt.
Minutes have passed and we already arrived at the basketball court.
"Hey, we're are we going to eat? Should I message Janice to invite them to eat with us?" Angelo asked. But Matthew's just glared at him.
"Oh! Easy man. I won't talk anymore." Angelo said then he acted like he's zipping his mouth to stop it from talking.
"Matthew." I called that made him stop from fixing his things. Seconds have passed and he's not doing anything. He didn't say a word then he continue fixing his things again.
"H-hey. I'm sorry." I said but he still did not say any word. So I explained myself because I know that he's listening. He just don't want to talk.
"I've been busy yesterday so I wasn't able to message you. I already explained it in ChatsF. I'm sorry." I explained but he still didn't say a word. He didn't even let himself to look at me.
"Matthew." I called but still no response. The three was just watching us and I really don't know what to do so I just hugged Matthew at his back.
"OH MY GOD!"
"Ohhh! That's smooth."
I heard Janice and Angelo said but I did not bother looking at them.
"Babe, I'm sorry." I whispered to Matthew. I hid my face in his back and hugged him tight. "I'm sorry. Please don't be mad." I said softly but he still did not talk. I was about to stop hugging him when he suddenly grabbed my hand then he put it back to his waist again.
"Stay. I'll just finish this." He said with his baritone voice that made the butterflies in my stomach lively again.
"You made me worried." He added.
"I'm sorry." I said since that's all I can say.
