Theodore's Point of View
"Theo!" Miel suddenly shouted that made me stepped on the break.
"Why? What happened?" I asked. She was just beside me while doing something on her phone then she suddenly shouted like that.
"Why did you stop?" She asked, a little irritated.
"Why did you shout?" I asked back.
"I'm sorry. Matthew's already there and he's been waiting for me for fifteen minutes." She explained.
What the? She shouted just because of that? What's more irritating is that she looks like she's the one who is always adjusting and chasing for him. That's why I really don't like that man.
"So what? I can't see any reason for you to be like that." I said and yeah I showed her thay I'm a bit upset with her actions.
"I'm sorry. I just don't want him to wait for too long." She whispered then she looked outside the window.
"We're near don't worry." I said then I focused on driving.
"Okay." She softly said and that ended our conversation.
When we arrived at the place that Matthew said, I saw how Miel became uneasy. She was fixing her hair multiple time and was looking for her clothes if it still looks presentable.
Does she even feel safe and calm when he's with that guy? I don't think so.
"Don't." I said when she was about to open the door of the passenger's seat.
"Okay." She said then she went back on sitting properly in her seat. She looked outside where she can see that Matthew.
Matthew is standing in front of the swing and was constantly looking at his watch.
Tsk. He even seems to be impatient.
I went out of my car. I was on my way to the door of the passenger's seat when Matthew looked in our direction. He stopped for a while when he saw me then his face crumpled like he saw an unpleasant sight. It's so unpleasant to see you too, manipulative man.
"Thank you." Said Miel when I opened the door of the car for her.
I didn't respond. I just took her hand to help her get outside of my car.
"Seriously? You really came with her? What are you? A body guard?" I heard Matthew said in my back.
Real quick. He's here already.
I didn't mind him and just stand beside Miel.
I saw how Matthew's face crumpled like a paper for the second time because I just ignore him. This is so satisfying.
"H-hi, Matthew." Miel said then he looked down, probably because she is shy.
"Hi, babe." Matthew responded then he hug Miel.
He looked at me like he was mocking me but I just ignore him.
"What should we do first?" Matthew asked then he wrapped his hand around Miel's shoulders.
I rolled my eyes and just looked away.
I don't really like this guy for Miel.
"Should we eat first? Are you hungry?" He asked.
"We just ate in her house before we went here." I said that made Matthew looked at me.
"You're living in the same house?!" Matthew asked Miel then he removed his hand away from Miel's shoulders to fully look at her.
"No! We're neighbors he came early in our house so we ate together." Miel immediately explained.
"I see." Matthew said but I can feel that his mood is already ruined, it's evident in his voice.
Miel suddenly turned around and glared at me.
"Stop saying things." She mouthed then she looked back to Matthew.
What the? Did she just glared at me? It's not the kind of glare that she's always giving me. It's different this time. She became a mean woman in my eyes.
Tsk.
"Did you eat already?" Miel asked then she held Matthew's hand.
"Not yet. But I don't want to eat." Matthew said bitterly.
"I'm sorry." Miel said that made me frown.
What the hell? She didn't do anything wrong. Why saying sorry?
"It's nothing. There's a funfair near here. Let's go there. Can we?" Matthew asked.
"Of course." Miel immediately answered that made Matthew smile.
"Thank you." He said then he place his hand again around Miel's shoulder.
I admit I like what he did in that part. I thought he will scold or shout at Miel but he did not. I think I'm being harsh with this man. But I still not like him for Miel.
They started to walk and I just followed them. This is so boring. I can easily leave and play my guitar or play basketball but I just can't leave Miel alone with this guy.
Minutes have passed and they entered to the entrance of the funfair.
"Oh My god! There's a ferris wheel! Can we go there?" Miel suddenly said excitedly that made me smile.
This girl. She always have that reaction whenever she sees Ferris Wheel. So adorable.
"Okay. Let's go there." Matthew said then they walk towards the Ferris Wheel.
"Hi." Matthew said to the girl who's selling the tickets. "Two tickets please." He said which the girl immediately followed.
I was looking at Miel, waiting if she will ask Matthew for my ticket but she's busy talking to Matthew about her experiences in Ferris Wheel. She experienced all of that with me but she's not including me in her stories to Matthew.
And what worse is that she forgot that she's with me.
Tsk. Annoying.
"One ticket. I'm with them." I said to the lady then She gave me the ticket that I purchased then I immediately followed the two.
The staff was about to close their door when I got there so I immediately stop him.
"I'm with them." I said then I look at the two.
"Oh my. I'm sorry, Theo I forgot--"Stop. It's okay." I interrupted her then I sat on the chair in front of them.
"We're okay now." I said to the staff so he closed the door.
"Psh." I heard Matthew said that made me look at him. He was glaring at me like I just ruined the moment.
Tsk. I don't care.
"We're getting up!" Miel Happily said that made me look at her.
She was smilling widely like she always do whenever we're riding a Ferris Wheel.
I smiled while remembering those old days. She's getting more beautiful now. But her smiles are still the same. Still sweet.
My smile vanished when Matthew suddenly hugged Miel while she's looking down, watching the city.
Tsk.
Miel smiled at what Matthew did. She's happy. I'm sure this is her first time falling in love. I want to support her because that's what best friends do but I can't. I don't know but I just can't.
I really do want her to be happy but I just can't support her here. That's why I want to know this guy and maybe he'll be able to gain my trust. If I saw that he really deserves Miel, then I'll support them. I just don't want Miel to get hurt.
"Where else would you like to go?" Matthew asked Miel after we finish riding four rides.
"I'm okay now. I already did what I want." Miel answered while smiling then he look at Matthew but immediately look away after seeing him smiling.
Miel shook her head and smiled too. She's blushing.
Hay! My best friend is really in love.
"H-how about you? What do you want to do?" Miel asked Matthew but she did not look at him.
"Ah. I want to play basketball." He answered.
"Huh? But you have no one to play with." Said Miel.
I was just in their back, looking and following them.
"Your best friend." Matthew said then he looked at me. "I bet you're a basketball player. You're wearing a jersey when you answered my phone call for Miel." He said while looking at me intently.
"Okay." I simply said that made him shock.
"Well. Let's see. I know a near basketball court here." Matthew said then he led the way.
"Catch." Matthew said then he passed me the ball. We're already here in the court and we're going to start our match now.
I ran faster when I caught the ball and so Matthew too. He tried to block me but I was still able to score two points.
"Good start." He arrogantly said.
"Tsk." I said then I passed him the ball. Again, we ran fast and I tried to block him. It took him a while to shoot the ball because I am doing a good job in blocking him.
"That's kinda though." Matthew whispered then we positioned ourselves again.
The game lasted for thirty minutes and we had a close fight.
"Tsk. You're lucky today." Matthew said while we're walking since I won.
It was really a close game because our scores are 27 - 25
Yes I was just two points ahead and I admit that he's a good player too.
"Hey. You're sweating hard." Miel said to Matthew then she wiped Matthew's sweat using her handkerchief then she gave him a bottled water.
"How about me, Miel?" I asked Miel. I didn't called her with my endearment to her because I don't want Matthew to call her that way too. Tsk.
"There's a tissue in my bag just get it and there's a bottled water too beside it. Drink it. You must be tired too." She said then she continue on taking care of Matthew.
"What the?" I whispered in disbelief. I'm not the one she's taking care anymore. It's kinda sad but I know this will happen someday. But it still makes me sad.
I heard Matthew laugh because of what Miel said.
"She's a caring girlfriend right?" He said then she return his gaze to Miel.
Yeah and she's a caring best friend too not until you came.
