"Sleep now, Darling. You need to rest." Said mom when we finished eating our dinner. She called nani lenna then she came with another one maid to help her in cleaning the table where me and mom ate.
"Yes, Mom! Thank you for the delicious dinner." I said then I hugged her while I'm still on the bed.
"You're always welcome, my baby." She said then she sat down in my bed and kissed me in my forehead. "You're tall now. We have the same height already. I can't kiss you now in your head." She said then she tightened the hug.
"I love you, mommy." I said then I closed my eyes to feel her warmth.
"I love you too, darling." Mom said then she caressed my hair. "Go and sleep now. We're going to the hospital tomorrow. Skipped class for tomorrow okay? I'll just tell your adviser about it." Mom said then she let go of our hug. "I'll go now." She said then she went outside together with Nani Lenna and her assistant.
I watched leaving them till they closed the door. I closed my eyes then I prayed to God, thanking him for all the blessings that I've got including my family. After praying, I lie down in my bed already. I was about to sleep when I remembered that I'm talking to Matthew a while ago.
"OH MY God!" I said then I immediately get up to reach my phone.
"Matthew." I called but there were no video call anymore. So I opened my ChatsF only to be surprised of Matthew's 57 messages, complaining about me not talking to him in our call.
"What are you doing?"
"Hey"
"I've been calling for your name for many times."
"Are you mad?"
"Hey, babe."
"Now I'm starting to be annoyed."
"I'll hang up now. This call is useless."
"I hate you!"
Those are some of his messages. But that message caught my attention.
Babe.. is that our call sign? Sounds good.
Now, there's a lot of butterflies in my stomach again. This man is really powerful. He always makes me feel this way.
I was busy smiling when I heard a footsteps approaching my room so I immediately put my phone in my bed side table and I lie down on my bed and pretended to sleep.
I heard a sound of a clicking door followed by a footsteps then I felt someone brushing my hair using his hand then he kissed me in my head.
"Goodnight, sweetie." He said then he fixed my blanket, making my whole body covered with it.
Dad... I want to get up and hug him because he's been too busy these days but I can't. They will ask me why I'm not yet sleeping. So yeah. I know he'll make time for me.
I was busy thinking about dad when I suddenly fell asleep, forgetting to reply to Matthew's messages.
"Darling, wake up." I heard mom said while shaking my body a bit.
"Hmmm." I said then I opened my eyes.
"Good morning. Get up now. I'll help you prepare." She said then helped me get up.
"Thank you mommy." I whispered.
"Youre welcome, darling." She said then she lift me up, holding me in my waist to support me then she placed my left arm to her shoulder.
"You can just hold my hand, mom." I said because supporting me that way is a bit exaggerated for me. I can walk. i just need a little support.
"I want it this way, darling." She said then we went to my bathroom. She opened the door then we both went inside.
I removed my hand in her shoulders then I took my toothbrush in the sink. I put a toothpaste in it then I brush my teeth.
"Do you want to take a bath?" Mom asked.
"Of course, mom." I said like it should not be asked.
"Do you want mommy to bath you?" She asked which made my eyes wide.
"Mom!" I hissed.
"What?" She said like there's nothing wrong on what she had said.
"Mom, I'm a grown up now." I said with my furrowed eyebrows.
"Yeah I know. I'm fully aware of that but can you take a bath alone with your situation right now?" She asked.
"Yes, don't worry, Mom." I said then I gargled a water to wash my mouth after finishing brushing my teeth.
"Are you sure?" She asked.
"Yes, mommy. I just need a chair inside my shower room. In case that I need a support." I said then I faced her.
"Okay. I'll call nanni Lena." She said then she went outside.
While me, I checked my leg and saw that it's still swelling yet it's smaller than yesterday which is good.
"Here, darling." Mom suddenly said then she went inside my bathroom with a plastic chair. Then she placed it inside my shower room.
"Go and take a bath now, darling." She said
"Thank you, Mom." I said then I smiled at her.
"You're welcome, darling. Take a bath now. I'll help nanni Lena downstairs in preparing our breakfast." Mom said then she went out of my room.
So I entered my shower room and I took a bath.
After preparing, I went out of my room walking alone. I can already walk but not properly. So I have to hold on the rails of the stairs to go downstairs.
I was already three steps ahead when Dad came in the living room which is in front of the stairs.
"Oh sweetie. Why didn't you call us?" He said then he went towards me to support me from walking.
"It's okay, dad. I have to walk alone so I'll get better soon." I said then we finally reached downstairs.
"Honey, can you fetch Miel upstairs? We're going to eat breakfast." Mom shouted from the dinning area.
"Yes, honey." Dad shouted back.
"Don't you have work today, Dad?" I asked dad since he's still here.
"I have a meeting this morning but I cancelled it. I want to come with you in the hospital." He said then we started to walk towards the dinning room. "Your mom told me about what happened. How are you?" He asked.
"It's getting better now, dad. Don't worry. I also think that there's no need for me to see a doctor. However, Mom's so worried and she insisted that we should see a doctor." I said then I heave a sigh which made dad laugh.
"Of course your mom will act like that. You're our only child. We cannot afford to lose you or have something bad happen to you." Dad explained.
"I know, Dad." I said then I hugged him. "I missed you. It's been three says since I last talked to you. You're too busy these past few days." I added then I let go of our hug.
"Yeah. I'm so sorry about that, sweetie." Dad said then he kissed me in my head. "You're getting bigger now, huh. You're as tall as your mom now. My baby is already growing. Do you have a suitor now?" Dad asked which made me frozen.
Oh My God! Matthew! I forgot to reply to him.
"Oh. You're here. Come, let's eat now." Mom said when we arrived at the dinning area. Now I don't have time to reply to him again. Will he get mad?
"Yes, Honey." Dad said then he helped me sit on the chair in front of mom while he sat on the chair at the edge of the table beside me and mom.
"Let's thank God first for our foods this morning." Mom said then we all looked down and closed our eyes to pray.
"Amen." We all said then we started to eat.
After eating, we all went to the garage to prepare to go to the hospital.
"Careful, darling." Mom said while helping me getting inside the car.
"Thank you, mom." I said when I'm already inside the car. She answered me with a smile then she went to the passenger's seat and dad opened the door for her.
After securing that mommy is good in the passenger's seat, Dad rotated and went to the driver's seat.
"We're going now. Put on your seatbelts." Dad said which mom and I immediately followed.
After minutes of driving, we arrived at the hospital already.
The doctor run a few test on me and were here now waiting for the results in the waiting area inside the doctor's office.
"I really like Dr. Kimimoto. He's so approachable and he's a good doctor. This is the only doctor that I trust." Mom suddenly said.
"Is it his performance that you like or his handsome face?" Dad said seriously which made me and mom laugh.
"Honey, are you jealous?" Mom asked while laughing.
"What?" Dad asked, irritated.
"Awww. Come on honey, you're the most handsome man I've ever seen in my entire life." Mom said while holding dad's face.
"Are you sure that you don't like that doctor because of his looks?" Dad asked.
"Of course not. I just saw how good he is in his profession. Don't be jealous now. I'm all yours." Mom said then she kissed dad in his lips lightly which made me remember my first kiss.
Oh God! Wait! I'm not yet replying to Matthew. This is my chance! Mom and Dad is not looking at me.
I immediately took my phone inside my bag. I was about to open my ChatsF when the doctor suddenly came. Arghhh why so unlucky? So I have no choice but to put it back.
"Ah Mr. and Mrs. Dela Vega." The doctor called that made my parents stop from flirting and just listen to him.
"Ms. Miel is fine. All of her tests are good and her bone did not get any damage from the incident and all she needs is rest. Beside, she's already in the process of healing, after few more days she'll be completely fine already." The doctor explained which made me smile.
"I told you, Mom. There's no need to see a doctor." I said.
"Yes, Ms. Miel you are completely fine but seeing a doctor in the situation like this is a good thing to do to make sure that you gained no damage from what happened." The doctor said that made mom look at me.
"That's what I meant when I insisted to bring you here, darling. You're just too stubborn." Mom said then she pinched my cheeks.
"Aw! Mom!" I complained because it really hurts. But yeah. I'm so lucky to have her as my mother.
