Legions POV
“Where is he?” I growled out, already feeling a nervous sweat coming on, as I run a hand through my hair, Caleb helping me throw my blazer on, “he’s waiting in the hallways,” he replied, and I tuned to face him, studying his every move, knowing I would catch a lie in an instant, “and he just appeared out of the blue?” I huffed, my jaw clenching.
“Yes,” Caleb replied, his eyes honest, I grunted at this, my fists clenching, “Fuck, he knows.” I trailed off keeping my fingers in my hair.
“It’s too early to know for sure, your father’s informants come around every few years,” Caleb replied but I shot him down quickly, “but this isn’t a lousy informant now is it? Fathers' cards have changed, so if he sent his guardian then he must be suspicious,” I snapped.
“I understand your worries, but that will not help us at the moment,” Caleb replied, “The best we can do for now is act normally, my prince.”
I looked back at him nodding slightly, my jaw tightly clenched, “yes, yes. You are right,” I breathed out, trying to ease myself “had my father known for sure, he would surely have said something,” I reasoned myself, trying to also ease Xeric in the process, my voice lowered as I eyed Caleb, “no changes, I don’t him knowing anything,” I huffed, “my father must not know of her,” I replied, watching him nod firmly before I turned back to my office door. I breathed out, opening it, walking out.
I didn’t have to follow the long hallway to spot him, dressed in a top-dollar suit and tie, his long blond hair with hints of aging white tumbling to his shoulders, complementing his neatly shaved beard of the same color tone.  His brown eyes were the same I remembered when I was a kid, his stance still strong and powerful, and air of authority lingering around him. It was no wonder there was no maid lingering around him, trying their luck with him.
He turned to face me majestically as I approached, a bare smile on his features, “Prince Legion,” he acknowledged with a slight bow of the head I paused little ways before him nodding as I studied his face, one I hadn’t seen in three races, “Julius,” I responded, “to what do I owe such a pleasure?”
He maintained his stance, “greetings from your father,” he replied, “and the Kingdom of course.”
I scoffed at this beckoning him towards my office, “you need not lie on behalf of the Kingdom. I am not a boy anymore Julius, I know they fear me and enjoy their days in the sun away from my wrath,” I replied with a grin.
I could fill his eyes on me, stopping for a moment, “You are not a pup anymore, that it is true,” he grunted, “but you are yet to learn forgiveness. The kingdom knows of your misfortune, they do not blame you.” He replied.
My jaw ticked looking right back at him just before we reached the office door, “how have I earned their forgiveness? Or is it just a birthright bestowed on me for being heir to the throne?” I asked watching him attentively, also feeling Caleb’s eyes at the side of my face as he lagged a respectful distance behind us. It was what to be expected when standing in front of his senior. Only three people stood ahead of him. My father the King, his guardian Julius and of course, me. 
Julius held eye contact with me, his eyes softening, “through your heartbreak. You lost as much as they did,” he gritted his teeth, “we all did.” He replied, his handing tapping my shoulder before proceeding into my office. I breathed out at this, trying to pull myself together. I could not let myself remember. Never. Not now. I glanced at Caleb momentarily before walking into the office, leaving him to stand guard.
I knew how this worked. All I had to do was answer a few questions. Just as long as I didn’t mention anything about Kaya she would be safe. At least for now. It was essential he knew nothing about her. She wasn’t ready yet for our world.
