Dilly, on the other hand, had no idea what to do and just keep her head down as she hear the gunshots from the enemies near her. She was trembling and her mind was running wild. The anxiety was slowly creeping into her system. What if I get hit here? What if I die here and in the enemies' hands?! What should I do now?! They would be in danger! Or worse, they would be killed, too! The car was bulletproof and the doors are locked but she couldn't stop thinking about the enemies getting in and killing her. Her thoughts were making her panic that she couldn't even think of any but the possibilities that could happen to her and her parents after she died. And when she heard a gunshot on one of the doors, she screamed like a little child but her head suddenly throbbed as weird memories start to shower her mind like a fast flashback in a movie. Gunshots... Screams... Cries... A little girl was there, hiding in a cabinet, covering her ears, tears falling to her cheeks but unknowingly, she couldn't... scream. As if her mouth was covered by tape or as if someone just made her that quiet. Then it suddenly stopped and another gunshot snapped her back to reality. Tears started to pour down her cheeks. And just like the child from the flashback, she opened her mouth but no voice came out. She lost her... voice. Until someone barged in the car and Henry appeared, quickly closed the car door while shooting the men outside. Dilly looked at him, eyes widened and her heart was beating so fast. Because of the sudden emotion, overflowing to her and tiredness, she hugged Henry until she fell asleep in his arms. Henry didn't want to wake her up so he didn't try to come out and help Shirley get rid of the minions. But speaking of the devil, his lips curved when he saw Shirley pushing the target to walk faster. She walked gracefully and Henry immediately notice that the minions were already quiet. So she does a great job when I'm not around, huh, Henry thought to himself. He suddenly felt proud for an unknown reason but quickly shrugged it off when they both got in. Shirley was in the driver's seat now while the target was on her side. Henry also noticed that the target's hands were now tied. He stifled the smile and cleared his throat. "I'm sorry I can't drive right now. Dilly is sleeping and she just deserves to rest because of what you did." His voice and aura suddenly changed when he remembered the hassle she just caused. "Whatever. She didn't even do anything." "Because being our lookout is the only thing that Val commanded to her to obey." "Whatever! Just shut up so I could focus on driving or we're all going to die here!" They all went quiet until they finally reached the torture place where they torture their victims until they say something helpful to use to the enemies. Henry gently tapped Dilly's shoulder to wake her up and her eyes slowly opened. She went out and stood beside Henry but her eyes quickly went to him with full of curiosity and confusion. "Welcome to место пыток, the torture place." He would've been taking it seriously but a soft chuckle escaped from his mouth, a little bit embarrassed. "Though I don't know if I pronounced it correctly since only Val could speak and pronounce Russian perfectly." Dilly laughed with him and she couldn't help herself but think. Oh, right... Val has features of a russian but it wasn't that noticeable since most of them were American features. He must be half Russian-half American. "Stop the nonsense talking, you're wasting my time." Shirley then interrupted and stood in between them. Their mood shifted in a blink of an eye and stood firmly. Dilly just silently rolled her eyes and walked past them. Oh, what a night, she complained irritably in her mind. The two already left Dilly in a room where the target was, tied and his face was covered with a small sack. He was all quiet, silently breathing and not panicking now at all. Dilly walked towards him and removed the sack from his face. Dilly's face suddenly went cold and she could feel how her hands and feet were shaking. She stepped back out of fear and couldn't believe who she was seeing. And the only thing she could do was recall his name. Professor Geoffe Jorden... ——— DILLY'S POV No, it can't be. It can't be. It can't be! "Long time no see, Beverly or should I call you with your new name now..." He smirked and his familiar golden teeth in front sneaked out. "...Dilly?" I gritted my teeth and stopped myself from crying. This is not the right time for that bullshit, Dilly. Get a hold of yourself! I didn't say a thing and remained the distance between us. "Anyway, what exactly do you want from me? Oh, do you want some updates? Your mother really works well. She's still gorgeous even if she's stressed out." He smiled at me like we're still some normal friends. How could he act like he didn't do anything to mom?! How could he act like he's not bothered at all?!! "HOW DARE YOUR FILTHY MOUTH SPEAK AS IF YOU'RE SOME GOOD GUY WHO ADMIRE MY MOM SO MUCH WHEN YOU ALMOST RAPED HER!" I aggressively held his collar up with my shaking hands. "I now regret that I didn't sue you for what you did to my mom! I now regret that you became my friend! I regret everything about you!" I punched and punched him but he only smirked which made my head boil. "HOW COULD YOU—" "Because she liked it, too." My fist stopped in the air and tears started building up in my eyes. "What did you say...?" "You heard it right. No need to—" "WHAT DID YOU SAY?!" I punched him and when I saw a gun behind him, I quickly took it and pointed it at him. His eyes widened but his lips quickly curved. "Oh, is that what your job is now? From an actress to a murderer?" He chuckled. My grip on the gun tightened and clicked it. "I would rather make my hands dirty than let some fucking trash bastard wander where he wanted to be as if he did nothing wrong!" "Oh, is that so? Kill me then." I held the gun tighter and in just a click, he will be killed. What is holding you on? What is stopping you? This is your job. You need to do your fucking job! "KILL ME—!" My mind went blank as I continuously click the gun. When I stopped, I could hardly recognize his face. His face was full of blood and guns—in his cheeks, nose, lips, chin, forehead, hairline, and... eyes. For a moment, I became a different person that I barely know. And I knew that something within me... was ruined.
