21: Kill Her
Naiah's POV
"Sin? Kanner?" I asked in disbelief. They are both blindfolded, arms tied up at their back. They are also kneeling at the ground. What's even confusing is, they don't have any bruises or wounds. Their clothes are clean as if nothing has happened to them.
I looked up to see Quenda, smiling innocently.
"What did you do? Why are you doing this?" instead of stating my observation, I asked her. She then laughs out of nowhere that causing me to furrow my brows.
"What?" she asked, still laughing her ass out. I looked at D who held my bandaged hand.
"Stay here" confused as to where and what will he do, I nodded my head. I focused my attention on Quenda who's still laughing. What's even funny?!
"Uhm, let's say, it's for fun?" I clicked my tongue at what I heard. Fun? This kind of situation is fun for her?! Unbelievable!
"This is absurd!" I exclaimed. She stared at me and slowly, the side of her lips, lifted for a smirk.
"Nah, this is just the start," she said. I creased my forehead and was about to say something when she snapped her fingers and several goons appeared out of nowhere. They are all wearing black hoods and masks. They seemed to carry weapons. Some are holding a gun, some are swords. I couldn't see their faces because their hood is covering them.
"What is this?" I asked as I am alarmed by the situation. I have an injured arm, I don't have anything with me to defend myself. And D, he's out of sight. I don't know where did he go. He really did leave me here all alone. That jerk. Geez!
"I told you, it's for fun" I gritted my teeth as I glared at her. Now that I remembered one thing, she's really evil. Does she think I forgot the fact that she killed my mother?
All of my queries about her, killing my mother as well as hers, seemed to vanish into thin air. I doubted that she can't ever do such a thing. I trust her. But now, I don't know anymore.
"For fun? Is that so?" that was sarcastic. She raised a brow and laugh again. I loved how sweet her voice was but now, I couldn't even fathom the idea.
"Yes, have a problem with that?" I scoffed and looked intently into her eyes.
"Does this even have a connection with anything? Or, as you said, it's for fun" I said. She smiled at me. A wicked one, per se.
"Now that you've said it, let me think of one" I balled my fist. I wish I get to see this kind of her earlier before I trust her as a friend, a sister perhaps.
"Oh!" she exclaimed and looked at me, grinning from ear to ear.
"It's really for fun" my jaw drop. I clicked my tongue as I smiled bitterly. What would I expect? That she'll say anything? Of course not! This is a planned way before she approached me at the restaurant. Why did I not sense anything from then?
"For fun. Okay then, let's get it done" I sternly said and run towards her. But these annoying jerks are preventing me! I raised a brow and think. I don't have any weapons with me, might as well, steal them from one of them.
Geez! Why did I not think of it earlier?!
I jumped when someone swung his sword at my feet. As I am in the air, I did a backflip and landed on one of the goon's shoulders. While on it, I locked his head on my feet and I didn't think twice as I let myself turn around with force. I heard the bone on his head, crack. I let myself fall together with the guy that I just broke the neck and landed safely.
I grabbed his sword with my left hand as my right hand is still in pain. I couldn't use it from time to time. What a great disadvantage, huh? I thought sarcastically.
"You're such a coward! Fight me! It's better to fight one on one than this kind of shit!" I exclaimed. I am talking to Quenda. I don't know where she is right now as I am busy fighting her goons. But I heard her, clearly. So, she's still here. I thought she ran away from this.
"Just for fun..." I furrowed my brows when she seemed, weak. Why so sudden? What happened? I was about to look for her when I felt a pain in my arm.
I stopped and groaned in pain silently when a goon has slide the sharpness of his sword on my right arm. I looked at the goon and glared at him. Though, he's wearing a mask I know, he's smirking at me.
I tilted my head and moved faster than before. They think low of me. Huh, they are all fools.
In just a minute, five goons laid down on the ground, lifeless. They all have a cut on their necks. Just one strike of my sword, you're dead.
There are still seven of them left. I puffed the air and looked closely at them. They encircled me and waited for a signal to attack. I shooked my head and sigh. This will be a long day for me. Geez!
And in one snap, they all lunged at me. They swung their sword, fire their bullets, all in my direction. I ducked and kicked. That was all I am doing. I am at defense right now as I can't move my right arm. It went numb. And it's bleeding nonstop, I could die for losing too much blood.
"Damn it! Where is that jerk?!" I hissed, how dare him!
"I'm here!" my eyes widen a bit but I manage to suppress them. And in just a second. All of the goons fell to the ground, dead. I struck the sword on the ground as I support my weight on it.
I glared at the guy in front of me. He's holding a sword, and there's blood flowing from there. A lot.
"Where did you go?" I asked him, he tilted his head as he glanced at me without moving his body.
"Somewhere..." he said and shrugged. I hissed and rolled my eyes. His nerve is out of this world.
I looked around to find Quenda but she's out of sight.
"Where did she go?" I asked him. But, instead of answering my question, he said something in contrast with it.
"She's dying..." I creased my forehead. Dying?
"What do you mean?"
"They take her. Come on, let's chase them" what the hell is he saying?!
"I don't understand!"
"Let's go," he started to run at the right side of the forest. I don't have any choice but to follow him. This is frustrating! Really!
We stopped in front of the vines. This makes me confused more. What are we doing here? I attempted to ask him but he raised his right hand, signed that I need to shut my mouth. I gritted my teeth and glared at his back.
"Hey! Naiah!" I looked in front of me when I heard a familiar voice. It's cold. What is the meaning of this?
Hesitantly, I walked my way into the vines in front, and slowly, a shiver runs down my veins.
My jaw dropped as I saw Quenda lying on the ground, bleeding. As if she bathed out of the blood. I run towards her and held the dagger that was dipped down on her flesh. She's dying, oh my god!
"What? --" I can't move, I can't talk. What the hell?!
"You don't need to cry over for her, it's her fate..."
"Fate?"
"Yup! She deserves it!" I looked at Kanner who said it.
"Who are you to say, it's her Fate and she deserves to die? Huh?! You're not a God!" I shouted angrily.
"We're just doing our job" looking at Sin, I gritted my teeth. Was it all just a show?!
"And that is to kill her?" I exclaimed.
"No, we're just doing her a favor"
"What favor?"
"You're really clueless, huh?"
"What are you talking about?" I looked intently at Sin's eyes.
"She accepted the hidden mission. And that mission is to kill you" my heart skips a beat, not for happiness but, pain. Hidden mission? Is there such a thing?
"But...she failed to do it. Because of that, you..." she trailed off. I looked up at Sin and glared at her nut the next thing I heard made me lose my strength...
