Nanny left the hospital not quite long after she came, to attend to something urgently... So the trio were left in the hospital room eating fruits.
" I never thought you loved bananas this much, Joseph. " Evie couldn't help but comment.
" Well... I do. I especially love eating with groundnuts... It tastes very yummy. "
" Oh... Really? I have never tasted both together. "
" Obviously you haven't. "
" Hey guys, I crave ice cream! " Mira's words interrupted their banter.
" You can't have that! "
" Definitely not! "
The two replied spontaneously.
Mira pouted, " You are both very mean! "
" We are definitely not buying that! " The duo stood their ground.
" Really, Jose? Remember your promise of always giving me whatever I want? " Mira said in a childish voice.
" No... Not this time... Your health comes first! " Joseph was determined not to be shaken this time.
" How mean! " Mira then began to cry.
This shocked the duo, Mira was crying? For ice cream?
When did she become this childish? They found themselves wondering.
" Hey, please don't cry, Princess... " Joseph was very quick to react as he sat beside her on the bed and embraced her.
" You guys are very mean! Very mean! " Mira cried...

" Your health is very important! " Joseph stated, trying to convince her... Yet Mira wasn't bulging... She cried harder on his chest.
Frightened by this, Joseph gave Evie an eye signal to go call on the doctor.
Evie nodded and immediately ran out to do as she was told.
Meanwhile, Joseph still tried consoling Mira whose eyes was already red with tears.
" Baby Mira, please stop crying, okay? "
" No... You guys don't love or care about me! I am all alone! " She argued as she continued crying...
" That's not true... We love and care about you very much... Mira. "
" Truly? " Mira stared at him.
" Hm... " He nodded.
" Then why won't you let me have ice cream? " she interrogated..
" It's not good for you at least right now... You almost freezed to death in that water so you can't take anything cold or ice right now, okay? "
" Are you saying the truth? " She stared at him.

" Of course... I don't tell lies remember? "
" Hm... So you get me ice cream next time, right? "

" Promise. " Joseph promised as he wipped out her tears.
Mira stared at her reflection on Joseph's phone screen... " Oh no... My eyes is puffy! I look ugly! " She burst into tears again.
" Hey, hey... Please don't cry, Mira... " Joseph tried consoling her again.
" No...! I look so ugly! " She argued crying harder.
Helplessly, Joseph laid down and made her lie on his chest as he consoled her, " You look very beautiful just the way you are, Princess... "
" Really? " Mira stared up at him.
" Of course... You will always be a beautiful princess. "
" I am not a princess, I am a queen! "
" Okay... You are very beautiful, Queen Mira... So please stop crying, alright? " He patted her back slowly.
" Hm... Thanks... " Mira said as she drifted to sleep...

Joseph who had her in his arms sighed in relief when he heard her slow breathing.
He didn't know that Mira could be like this and it was really tasking coercing her.
He tried to detach himself from the embrace to allow her sleep properly but then, " Please don't leave me... " He heard her pitiful dream like voice as she wrapped her hands tightly around him than before.
Sighing, Joseph could only adjust their position and made her sleep directly in his arms since that's what she wanted after all...
He found himself staring at her sleeping face... She looked so peaceful and harmless...
Despite her puffy eyes, she still looked very beautiful.
He stared at her loosed long curly hair before, pulling out an hairband from his trouser pocket and using it to tie up her hair in a low pony tail.
Then, he pulled out the little wet tissue box he always had with him and used it to wipe out the remnants of tears from her eyes.
He kissed her forehead before closing his eyes to rest... Since he had nothing to do that time anyways... So why not take the time to rest then? He thought.

" He's so caring and loving... " The female doctor who had been watching the scene along with Evie couldn't help but say.
" Yeah... He has always been that way, though he's only that caring and loving to, Mira. "
" Oh... Then I guess they must have some sort of chemistry between them. "
" Definitely! I just hope they end up together in future. "
" From what I see, they definitely will... Joseph seems like the possessive type. "
" Right... So doctor what happened to, Mira? Why did she become all emotional all of a sudden. "
" Well... This could be as a result of a replay of some of the thoughts that went through her mind before the accident which made her feel very insecure about herself... Do you notice anything unusual before she fell into the pool? "
" I... I wasn't paying attention... Though I could guess that she was bullied by the Queen Bee who instigated the whole accident. "
" Then I guess, that must have caused this... Perhaps they said something that hurt her. "
" Yes... Will she be fine, Doctor? "
" She will... " The doctor assured.
" Okay, Doctor... "
" Remember to take good care of her, though I don't need to emphasize that anymore since I realized that she'll be well taken care of. " The doctor said meaningfully.
" You are right... "
" Hm... Take care... You can also stay here tonight. "
" Okay. "
" I will be attending to other patients... See you tomorrow. "
" Yes... Goodnight, Doctor... "
" Hm... Have a great night rest, Goodnight... " The doctor said with a smile before walking away..
Evie watched with fascination as the doctor walked out of her sight.
For the first time, she took a liking to doctors!
She had always believed they were a set of heartless creatures, but this female doctor changed her whole perspective.
And now? She looked forward to meeting up with more doctors!
