"You have to wear this today."
I overheard May’s voice when I reached the front of Arkanghel’s room.
What are they talking about?
I knocked on the door and asked them, “Can I come in?”
“Yes, my lady," May answered.
I’m about to open the door when I heard Arkanghel’s voice.
“No,” he said.
I am not sure if I should come in or not, but May saved me from thinking and opened the door.
“You may come in my lady.”
“Alright, thank you.”
“What is happening here?”
There are clothes everywhere; on the bed and even on the floor.
“We are choosing a cloth for Arkanghel that he will use for today.”
Oh right, I almost forgot that Arkanghel and May will accompany me to the capital today. This will also be Arkanghel’s practice as a knight.
Hmm…
I looked around and checked the clothes that are spluttered everywhere. These are old clothes, where did they even find this?
“Whose clothes are these? I don't remember having clothes like this for a man here in the mansion,“ I asked.
“I got it from the village last night. I went there and asked our neighbors if they have old clothes for men and they gave me this," May answered.
“Wow, you're truly reliable, but next time you don't have to go there alone, especially when it's already night, something might happen to you if you do it again. Okay?”
“Yes, my lady.”
“Alright, so now let's choose clothes for you, Arkanghel.”
I helped them pick clothes that suited Arkanghel and because I like to dress up, I combined different types of clothes that will suit him. Thankfully, it fits perfectly on Arkanghel.
“Wow, you have a unique sense of fashion, my lady.”
“That's nothing.”
“How about you, Arkanghel? Do you like it? If you don't, you can tell me anytime. I will choose another pair of clothes for you. “
“No, it's okay my lady, I like this.”
“Are you sure?”
“Yes, my lady, thank you for helping me.”
I smiled at him. He learned a lot from May, he isn't the same person as before, he will go mad every time he wants and will treat everyone badly before.
“Okay, now that this matter is all set, let's all get ready. Let's go to the capital in an hour.”
They both nodded so I went to my room to prepare for myself this time.
I took the papers that I will bring.
I was amazed by these papers because they are well-written. It will benefit both parties and even if the project will not succeed, there's a low possibility of losing, but that's unlikely to happen since this is really a great project.
Charlotte is a great business person.
While I am reviewing these documents, I felt like I became a business management student.
Thankfully, there are books here that help me learn about business and how it works. That's why I didn't have a hard time learning some techniques and terminologies used in business especially in this place because few words aren't used on Earth but are used here. I hardly understood it before.
I am wearing another dress that was given by Inodin, this is also one of the dresses that she gave to me after I gave her my sketches. While looking at the dresses, I noticed that the dresses that she gave are all the dresses from my sketchpad that I’ve given to her. But she changed some of them like there are minor changes but it turned out well. Thanks to her skills. She is good at making beautiful clothes.
Another thing, the contract that Charlotte gave me states that she wanted my designs to be the first collection in our boutique that will be released on the market. Although I don't have any problems with that, I am quite shy because that will be my first time officially launching the dresses that I made myself.
I am just really thankful to Inodin for her support and for giving me the courage to accept her proposal since she complimented my designs.
I grabbed everything I needed to bring and went outside. I met May and Arkanghel on my way to the main gate.
I just noticed that May isn't wearing her usual maid outfit anymore these days. I wonder why she's also using accessories on hair that she rarely does before.
It looks good on her so I won't ask about it anymore, let’s just wait for her to open it up to me. It's way better than asking.
"Are you guys ready?" I asked.
"Yes, my lady. We are ready to leave."
May answered while Arkanghel just nodded his head.
“Alright, let's go.”
We went straight outside where the carriage was waiting.
"We should buy a carriage for us soon so that we will not rent from time to time."
That's right, now that we are going from one place to another we need to buy a carriage for us.
“Good morning, my lady," the carriage coachman greeted us. Oh, he looks like the same coachman on the carriage that we rented before.
“Good morning to you too, we will be in your care today.”
The coachman smiled and told us to get inside because it was cold outside.
I am the first one to get in the carriage while May and Arkanghel are hesitating to come in.
“You should come in first.”
Both of them said to one another.
“No, you should come in first.”
They both said again.
“What are you guys doing?? Come on in.”
May comes in on the carriage and Arkanghel follows, what are they doing this time?
May sits in front of me as well as Arkanghel, now that our position is like this, I can look at their faces finally.
Arkanghel is handsome despite his age. For sure, if he grows a little older, there will be a lot of women who will come after him. He might even become a heartbreaker, who knows. I have always gotten to know handsome men since I came to this world.
Now that I mention it, I haven't heard about Hendrick after he sent me home. I wonder what happened to him or what is happening to him now. I hope he is okay.
Our ride to the capital went smoothly as always. Arkanghel is saying that his back is hurting but we couldn't do anything about it since the carriage we are riding isn't that great and that soft.
We should buy a carriage soon now that our family is growing. If it’s only me and May, we don’t have any problems riding this carriage, but Arkanghel seems to dislike it. He’s still a child after all.
Charlotte and I agreed that we will meet at the restaurant we met before. When we got there, I could already see Charlotte sitting in the same spot as before. She is early as always.
“Is that Charlotte you are talking about?”
May point in the direction that Charlotte is sitting.
“Yes, that is her.”
This is her first time seeing Charlotte since she didn't accompany me when I went to the capital before and even when Charlotte and I met for the first time.
Arkanghel is usually quiet beside us.
“Let's go in.”
We went inside and we were welcomed by the same person that guided me before.
When we got to Charlotte, she greeted me first.
“It is nice seeing you here my lady.”
“It's fancy meeting you, lady charlotte.”
May and Arkanghel sat at the table behind us.
Charlotte and I talked about the content of the document she gave me.
She is very professional at times like this. I can see that she is dedicated to this project. When everything was settled, we signed the contract that we both agreed to.
“I will be in your care from now on, Lady Belle,” she said.
I laughed at her remark because that is too formal when we are now business partners.
“You can just call me Belle from now on, it's not a big deal.”
“Really?” She looks excited. Why, though?
I nodded my head and said, “Of course, why not? We are now business partners so it will be more comfortable talking to you this way.”
“Wow, I wouldn't have thought that I would have the chance to call you by your name.”
“Why, what do you mean?”
She looked shy all of a sudden.
“Well, because I just thought that you are out of my reach since you are the benefactor of the first painter in the palace. I just thought that you are so amazing to have found someone like him."
"Hey, I'm feeling guilty because everyone praises me about that but all I do is take advantage of my knowledge from the comic."
"No, don't think highly of me like that. I am just also a newbie in this field, not like you. I'm just lucky that I found someone like him."
Charlotte and I talked for a little longer before we decided to part ways.
"I will be in your care from now on, Lady Belle."
"I should be the one telling you that."
We both laugh. I like her personality. She's like someone who is not hard to get along with.
"When we meet in the palace the next time we see each other."
Yes, since she is the fiancee of the crown prince, she will be staying in the palace starting tomorrow.
So every time we talk about our business, I will just go to the palace until the building that we're planning to build is fully furnished.
We bid goodbyes to each other.
"How is it going, my lady?
May and Arkanghel move to my table after Charlotte leaves.
"Everything's going smoothly."
Now that the deal is done, I have to go to the north and look for that mana building stone.
"We should buy arkanghel clothes now."
"Alright."
We went to the nearest boutique for men and chose arkanghel clothes. We bought a few pairs of casual clothes for him and the uniform that he will be using when he is on duty as a knight.
"This is enough, my lady."
Arkanghel said after I bought him many boxes of clothes and other things that he will be needing from now on.
"Are you sure?"
I don't know the needs of teenage male scenes. I didn't experience this kind of thing before.
Arkanghel nodded
Then alright. We will now choose for me.
Since I will be needing a few pairs for my trip, I plan to buy them myself too. I can't wear those dresses or let them force me to wear the old dress that I have in the closet.
We went to the next boutique that is for girls.
Some of the people there remember me although I can't remember them. They said that they were in the palace when I was officially known as the benefactor of the painter hansel.
It was hard at first but I somehow managed to get accustomed to it.
I was the first one to finish choosing my dresses, while May is still choosing Arkanghel. I and Arkanghel sat on the corner of the boutique.
Although I planned to rest, it didn't happen because some people wanted to talk to me.
They even gave me their contact number and some of their businesses.
"If you are not busy, lady Belle, I would like you to meet my son who is one of the imperial knights."
Oops, look at her, she wants me to meet her son.
Does her son even know about this?
"Alright, I will free my time when I get the chance."
The old lady is very happy although that won't be my priority, I am excited as well to meet other people my age here.
"I am done choosing nitrous, my lady," May approached me carrying lots of boxes.
Are those dresses alone? That's quite a lot!
"You are so shameful for choosing that many dresses," Arkanghel told me.
"Shut up, kiddo."
And we started snickering at each other again.
We went to the nearest restaurant before we decided to go home. And as soon as we got home, I prepare what I will bring to my journey.
May and arkanghel notice that too.
"We will accompany you, my lady."
"No, you don't have to accompany me."
"No, my lady, you can’t go alone."
"Then I will do it, let me do it,” Arkanghel said
"Alright.”
I’m glad that they want to accompany me but I can’t bring the two of them. I need someone to look after the house while I’m gone.
"Why did you approve of Arkanghel but not me? I am your most loyal servant here!"
"Don't get me wrong. I don't want you to accompany me because I have something for you to do."
"Is that so?"
"Yes."
May finally agreed, thank goodness.
Both of them helped me pack the things that I will bring for tomorrow.
I spent the rest of the day explaining what May will do while Arkanghel and I are gone.
