Chapter 29 Beasts

BELLE'S P.O.V
"Do you think this is all right?"
I showed him what I was holding. Before he responds, he inspects it for a few moments.
"Yes, my lady," I said. Okay."
"Should I place this somewhere?"
He gestures to the bag near the stone, where our carriage is waiting.
"That's okay, my lady."
I gave a nod of approval.
“Alright.”
I walked to my bag and placed the items in my hand inside.
We're presently gathering leaves for which I have no idea what the advantages are. But Hendrick advised me to just go ahead and do it.
He stated that he would require this in the event that monsters attacked us. Although that is difficult because this location is well-kept, and monsters rarely visit. Nonetheless, I obey him.
We've been choosing those curves for two hours now. It's already early afternoon.
And I'm starting to get hungry!
I cast a peek at Hendrick. I couldn't believe he was actually accompanying me on my journey.
Who would have thought that the person with whom you rarely communicate might be able to assist you with your problem?
He is pretty kind.
This has never happened before in the comic because all he has done previously is avoid the original Belle. But now he's there in front of me.
He even joins me on my travels.
He gets taller than he was previously. I'm curious whether he and Georgia are already in love because they are meant to fall in love at first sight.
In retrospect, where did Georgia go when the original Belle ruined her life? Should I inquire with Hendrick about it?
I'm not sure if he'll respond because they're so in love.
I'm confident he will defend her at all costs, despite the fact that I am not the Belle who went insane and used her life.
Hendrick is clever. Therefore, I believe he already believes that the insane Belle who fills this body will have the same memories even after she has taken over this body.
But I couldn't help but be intrigued by Georgia.
I wanted to meet her, but my heart couldn't bear the thought of them falling in love.
Why did Hendrick join me if he already loved Georgia?
Is it because he is simply lovely and May asks him to?
I don't believe he has spent any time with her.
I shouldn't have asked Hendrick about Georgia.
Let's just avoid talking about them because that's my first priority. That was my initial objective in the first place.
"Does anything appear to be wrong?
”
When Hendrick stood in front of me, I almost leaped.
How come I didn't see him approaching me when I last saw him?
Is it possible that I was thinking so deeply that I didn't see him?
I shook my head.
What exactly am I doing?
"There isn't any difficulty at all."
He didn't seem persuaded.
"You don't need to be concerned. There is absolutely no issue. But may I ask you a question? ”
He gave a nod of approval.
"Of sure, my lady," he said.
What exactly is it? I'm just curious where Georgia is right now. How is she doing?
“Georgia?”
"Indeed, Georgia. The one who, enraged by Belle's jealousy, threatens?”
"She's that gal!"
What about the girl? Why is he referring to Georgia as "that girl"?
"Yep, do you know where she is now and how she is?”
He shook his head.
"I'm not sure what happened to her after we left the headquarters."
Why does he appear to be uninterested in her?
Is it unethical for me to predict that they would fall in love at first sight?
But that's what it says in the comic.
Is it possible that I'm mistaken once more?
"But aren't you interested in her?"
I inquired.
"No, not at all, my lady."
Hendrick gazed up at the sky, then back in my way.
"I believe we should depart at this time, my lady. It would be perilous if we were still here in the jungle when darkness fell."
That's correct. We began to collect the items we had chosen.
We eventually decided to go.
Although the royal palace claims otherwise, we can't be sure that no monsters will strike here. After all, this is still a forest where creatures come from time to time.
Hendrick told the coachman that we were leaving right now.
Even though it is becoming dark, we are still in the woods.
"I'm sorry, my lady. I didn't believe the sluggish trip would get us into trouble."
Hendrick seemed to be depressed.
"No, it's okay," I responded, making an x with my arms.
"You don't need to be concerned about it. It's not an issue since we don't know whether or not this will happen."
Hendrick assured me that we would be in the subsequent settlement before the night fell. He promised me that, so he's feeling bad about it.
We couldn't make it because of a variety of issues, including the coachman's unsettled stomach. We need to put the carriage on hold for a time.
That's why we're camped out in the woods right now.
We're still a long way from the next village.
Hendrick and the coachman assist in starting a fire.
Fernando is the name of the coach.
He had been a coachman for many years, and his clientele mainly was nobility. He is kind and personable.
We prepared the beef we brought with us.
"This looks delicious!" What have you added to this? " Hendrick and his coachman, Fernando, inquired.
When I added some spices to the meat, they both looked perplexed.
"What type of spices are they?"
When I informed them about the spices I used, they were taken aback.
"I never believed spices could make meat taste so good!
"Me as well!" Hendrick said.
I observed here that they don't utilize spices in their cuisine.
As a result, the majority of their dishes were bland. Unless you dine in fine dining establishments.
But what surprised me the most was that the spices are all ordinary and can be found everywhere. The components are simple to obtain, and it is simple to make various spices.
They both appreciated the spice-seasoned lunch I prepared for them.
Although there is no rice here, the meat is plenty to fill our appetites.
We decided to pitch a tent near the carriage after finishing our supper.
"I'll assist."
"You are not required to assist, my lady. "We can do it."
“Are you sure?”
“Yes.”
Hendrick seems adamant about not letting me help, so I take a seat on the carriage instead.
Our journey was not harrowing since they were cautious, and Hendrick took wonderful care of me. Hendrick is always thinking about doing it when we're on the road. I'm not even tired because I napped earlier this afternoon.
So, what should I do?
I'm thinking about what I can do if I can't sleep.
But then I realized I hadn't brought any books to read to pass the time.
I am a moron.
Why hadn't I considered that since it's the only thing that keeps me going when I'm bored?
I wiggle my brows. I'm always capable of being dumb at times.
I was just looking out the carriage window when a little light attracted my attention.
What exactly is it?
I gaze at it, hoping that I can see it right.
It appears to be a brightly shining star, but its brightness is insufficient to be observed.
It is situated between the trees rather than in the sky.
Is that a foreshadowing of something?
However, there is no neighboring location that can transmit a signal as far as I know.
What is it possible to be?
I'm still curious about what Hendrick banged on the carriage.
"What exactly is it?" I inquired.
“Shh!" he answered, attempting to silence me.
"Please keep your voice down, dear lady."
I had melted.
“Why? What is going on? ”
He directed me to exit the carriage.
I observed the coachman gathering our belongings and tying them all up on the horse when I got off.
He's also removing the rope that joins the carriage to the horses.
Their steps are devoid of sound as if they are attempting to conceal their tracks.
"What's going on here?"
Hendrick is wearing his coat and is hugging me. He requested that I put on another coat and bring anything with me.
"My lady, you keep it. If something goes wrong, simply toss it in front of you, and you'll be okay."
"Wait a minute, Hendrick. What are you saying?"
I was confused because I couldn't hear anything other than our voices.
I was perplexed since I couldn't hear anything but our voices.
Is there a hazard nearby that I'm not aware of? I had a look around. I can't see anything but our belongings.
Hendrick grabs my hand before approaching the other horse.
Hendrick instructed me to sit on the horse as the coachman approached the other. They began maneuvering the horse after we were situated correctly.
"Yah!"
Hendrick yelled.
What are we doing on the horse? I thought we were going to stay here till the sun came up?
I'm sitting beside Hendrick, clutching the horse's rope.
"What's going on, Hendrick?"
I attempted to question him, but he couldn't hear me since the horse was making such a loud noise.
I couldn't figure out what was going on. Why can't we just board the carriage and utilize it instead?
I couldn't see where we were going, but it certainly was one thing.
Something is going on that I am not aware of.
Both of the horses are running fast like they are avoiding something.
I don't know, but what is happening is scaring me. What could happen in a forest where there is no light around us other than the bright stars?
Is it conceivable that it's due to the monsters?
But why are they remaining silent?
Hendrick holds me in his left hand while holding the horse's rope with his right.
I can feel his body brushing against mine.
What is it about our proximity that makes me nervous?
I bit my lower lip. I shouldn't be thinking about this right now.
Instead of superfluous thoughts, I just grip his arm since I am afraid I may fall due to the horse's pace.
We were still riding the horse when we heard a massive boom behind us as if something had exploded.
"What was it?"
I tried to turn around, but Hendrick stopped me.
"You're not required to look, my lady. "Pay attention to your front."
What exactly is going on here?!
I did what he instructed, then there was another explosion. This time, it came from right next to us.
Some branches and leaves flew our way.
I tried to cover my face. Thankfully, I am wearing a coat. That is why I managed to avoid sharp objects.
"Yah!”
Hendrick and the coachman shout it again.
They are making the horse run faster.
Are those really monsters?
What should we do? What if those monsters catch up to us? How come I don't hear anything when there are already monsters around us?!
Hendrick tightens his grasp on me and urges me to grab his arm as firmly as I can. I did what he instructed.
I'm a little worried since I know creatures are all around us. But I still had a glimmer of faith that we'd be able to escape this time.
But what occurred next was the polar opposite of what I had hoped for.
Suddenly, a significant figure came in front of us. It appears to have fallen from the sky.
He's so massive that I can't even see the moon above him.
"AH!”
When I saw what was in front of us, I couldn't help but shout.
There's a vast and terrifying beast standing right in front of us!
"M-monster!"
I was trembling in there.
