A second felt like an hour, he couldn't tell if his body covered by sweat or rain. His breathe stuck in his throat, being sandwiches with all those heavy crates sucks too much. And soon a warm blood dripping his thigh only to be mix with the cold frigid rain. At this rate, he couldn't wait for any help before he either died from blood lost or hypothermia or even both. But he doesn't have any choice, the space barely gave him room to move and all the prickly nail stuck out dangerously every where, he may escape one or two but not all his body can do that. So a cut from his mid thigh and almost reach his knees at least less life threatening, for now. The growling never stop, as if whatever creature that is lurking around, wishing for a piece of his bone to chew. He merely and stupidly move out from the infirmary out of instinct, his body move on their own and his head singing the tone for him to agree on fighting instead of running or hiding. The loud sniffing was heard before the crates creak under something heavy, before he can register anything in his mind, as if the ground under him being scoop and shove out like a dirt on a shovel, he flew in a second, tumbling and rolling onto the splashing water and the wet ground. He gasped on the impact, leaving him breathless. The rain pouring down as he scrambled on his feet. His body trembling from the cold and the pain, he doesn't know where the pain start from or end, it's trembling all over. But, his eyes shone, with a rare light, like a beast finding it's way, crawling on his bone. With trembling breathe, he pushed the ground. Face to face with the monster, challenging. Stupid?. Yes. But, his bone strangely dripped with something maniac. And he just CAN'T back down. As if knowing his attention, the monster snuff out, as if to intimidate, like a bull. Clack. A bullet bounce off it's hard scales. The thunder flashed again above their head, making it's dark thick skin as if glittering for a second. It turns around and stalked whoever opposites. As if the monster never perceived them as a threat, it take a slow and measure steps. A rain and bullets mix in the air, and bounce off from it onto the ground. The empty area filled with men with guns on both sides, lines up, at least a dozen each side. “Step back, Walter!.” Blythe yells from somewhere in the crowd. Somehow he can't feel at ease. And he don't know why, that frustrated him. The 12 feet monster roared louder than before. It swipe through the rain and pouring bullets, hitting half of the dozen on each side. “Take the injured back!. Retreat!. Retreat!.” He screamed. His voice was like a steel, coming louder like a thunder, shooting all of the human there. , a second, everyone paused before scattered toward the bleeding and injured fighters. He scanned the area, and spotted the copper basin, and it's stand, with a size of one the two inches, and at least 150 cm long with three legs to hold it weight. His leg pushed against the wet ground, toward the copper basin, he flip it, and the ashes and accumulated water turns down along with the copper basin. He turned around, just before someone scream for a man to retreat however there's one particular man, determined to empty his ammo, even though it's clear, it's skin was too thick. However, his attention never slip from him. The man was trying to make the monster only paid attention on him, allowing others to help the fallen one. Walter run like his life depended on it, water splashed around him just as strong as his determination. At this moment, there's nothing in his head but the eyes each and every fighters here save and alive. As if it was his responsibility. His eyes swiped between the monster's hanging hand in the air and the man's stubbornness as he stand there, unmoving. As he reached the man's range, he grip the copper basin’s leg as strong as he can, his biceps are tight, and his shoulder felt stiff, and he took a swing to the standing man. Somewhere, he heard his name being called, but his head was never clear than this. As if in slow motion, he caught the look of surprise on the man's face as he was swipe to the side and rolled as far as he can from the monster. As soon as the man was safely being ‘transferred’, walter dropped down just in time the monster's hand was about to slap him on to the ground like a mosquito. But, half way in, the steel walter brought, and held as hard as he can pierced the hand under it's own weight. It act on instinct and swing his hand above, as if it could make the steel pull off. It's still a monster with instinct after all. Walter scrambling to the side, worried to get caught between it's frantic movement. He picked up the gun one of the men dropped nearby, fall into his knee and took his stance, ready to shoot a meter up from the monster. It's scream was both like a painful shriek and a madness shrill. Upon closer look, it snout look like alligator, but at the same time, it doesn't look the same at all. But, the thick skin sure as thick as any crocodiles and alligators had. And the temperament. It open it's jaw, as it's stubby legs rotating around toward him. Someone cursed, someone yell, but he turned it all into his deaf ears. His heart thumping, both in excitement and fear, is this survival instinct? Or is he broken?. He doesn't care. If he could, he want to say one word, and it's keep ringing in his head, as soon as he figure out it's weakness, ‘bingo’. Then, a flurry of bullets flew inside it's mouth, piercing those soft area, and he focus on one spot, again and again, it's throat, within seconds that felt like hours, he really put his all pulling the trigger, determined to save everyone, he felt as if it was his responsibility and he took it seriously. The pain must be unnoticeable as the adrenaline from the anger and the pain on it's hand win against the current instinct. Thus, as it's body suddenly dropped down, sitting with it'shead loling around, it's huff was hard and almost groaning as it's eyes wide, and unfocused, it was too late for it too notice the shot, since the pain clouding it's mind. The heavy body slide toward him, and in his haziness, he just stood there, feeling accomplished, his stiff joint, relaxed, just before he was picked up and dragged onto someone's shoulder. The gun plopped down with a thud amidst the pouring rain. He lets his body felt the person ran, even though it was really uncomfortable. “This stupid crazy maniac!.” One voice rumbled. “That is a shitshow.” Another called. “I don't think my heart is where it was.” Another exclaimed. “Fuck… I almost hear her voice, scolding me. “ Another one frustratedly claimed. “That's so… odd.” He whispered.
