Rue arrived at the location of the third crime scene. Since it happened last week, it's still under investigation and open, she immediately entered the apartment.
Good thing it's already past night. No one is there.
'I must find the weapon' she uttered and roams around the apartment to look for the evidence.
She went to the bedroom but she found nothing, just a messy bed, and a lampshade on the floor. She also opens the cabinet.
'The weapon is not here. Then it has been dispatched or with the culprit' she bites her bottom lips in frustration and brushes the hair on the top of her head.
She dialed Althea's phone number and after a few rings, Althea answered.
"Are you sure the cops didn't find anything here? The weapon that the culprit used?" Rue asked her.
"Yes, we haven't found any. And anyway, I'm at Food and Drinks near the apartment of the victim. Waiting for his current girlfriend." Althea asks her,
"Got it. I'll be there in just a sec" Rue said as she walks out of the apartment.
"Yes please. Do some teleportation to get here as soon as possible." Althea jokes over the phone.
Rue just chuckled as she rolled her eyes, then she went inside her car.

Althea noticed her friend's arrival. She waits her to sit far from their table, no one would suspect any weird things because she's just sitting there just like an ordinary costumer.
After few minutes, a girl comes in from the door. She walks towards thw table of Althea.
"You're here. Take a sit." Althea said as she saw the girl.
Thanks to the ability of the vampires, Rue can hear them from the distance. She can clearly hear and read everyone's thoughts inside the room.
"You must be Blaire? I'm Althea Martinez." Althea acknowledged the girl and showing her I.D.
"I'll be asking you some questions about Mark's case, is it fine with you?" Althea remarks her with a smile.
"Yeah. Of course." Blaire said with a low voice, she seems to be a shy type.
"Before that, have you eaten already?" Althea asks the shy girl that can't look straight at her eyes.
The girl just nodded and shows a small smile to her.
"Let's have some dessert then." Althea smiles at her then ordered some dessert for them.
It's kind of awkward because the girl is too timid and the atmosphere is quiet.
"How long have you two been together?" Althea starts,
"Almost 2 months" Blaire replied while having a small bite on her dessert.
"How frequent do you visit him in his apartment?" She asks further,
"We always meet and date outside, I've never been on his apartment." The girl casually stated.
'But I saw lingerie in his room?' Rue blurted on her mind, intently looking at her.
'There's a lingerie.' Rue texted her friend, her friend immediately opens her phone. She remains silent for a while after she read the text.
"This is too personal but.." She paused. "Is he cheating on you?" Althea finally asked.
The girl stiffened on her sit. A shock is visible on her eyes.
"W-Why did you ask?" The girl manages to speak stammering with a small voice.
"The crime scene.. There's a lingerie on his closet." Althea states, she knows from the reaction of the girl, she's not lying.
"I saw him once with another girl." the girl says, her head looking on the ground.
'Is this all about cheating?' Rue concluded as she listens to them.
'If it's the motive of the culprit, isn't too shallow to be this far?' She added,
Although she already gathers all the information she needed, she remains on her sit.
"When did you know? "Althea's face plastered with amusement because of sudden revelation.
"In our 2nd month." The girl answers, Althea was dumfounded. She thinks that this girl must love him so much.
"I didn't break up with him because I can't lose him." Blaire continues,
"You didn't get mad at him? Or even just slap him" Althea asked with curiosity as she leaned closer.
"Of course. I got mad, I even cry. But I can't be mad at him forever because I love him." The girl's eyes visible of having a flashbacks of memories
"I didn't tell him that I saw them, because I'm afraid that he loves that girl more than he loves me? H-he will leave me if I did." she added with a cracked voice and wiped her fallen tears.
Althea immediately gets a tissue and handed it over to the girl.
After the girl left, Rue nodded to her friend Althea as they met each other gaze.
"Thank you for today." she says as soon as Althea sits in front of her.
"It's also my duty." Althea chuckles and sip on the glass on the table.
"You went to the crime scene?" Althea asks,
"Yeah, I visited them all actually. And I found nothing." Rue simply answers.
Althea's shoulder slumps after she hears her statement.
"But I already have a hunch about the culprit's motive." Rue added that makes Althea look at her with interest, waiting for her next statement.
"Every victim that I have talked, they are all a victim of cheating." She continues,
"Are you serious? The girl I have met also got cheated by her dead boyfriend." Althea blurted bluntly with her eyes filled with astonishment.
There's a moment of silence between the two of them. Althea still processing the information.
"Is it avenging a revenge for them?" Althea finally concluded.
Rue just nodded to her.
"But why is it getting a revenge for them? It's impossible that it's someone they know?" Althea consecutively asks,
"As I have reviewed their background, they are all not related." Rue confirmed as she looks at her,
While they are talking, she suddenly feels someone's presence inside the room. She's familiar with the kind of feeling, it's coming from an immortal.
She looks around to find it but not making it so obvious.
"What's the real catch? We still don't have any clue about its identity." Althea said, almost surrendering.
"Then we will just wait for the next move." Rue announced as she crosses her arms to her chest. She just set aside her thoughts from what she felt earlier and focus on the case.
