I cast a sly glance at Hunter, who appeared astonished and perplexed once more. I cursed myself inside my thoughts, as I was soon lost in thought. The loudspeaker is turned off.
"Some guy wants to talk to you, Mr. Daniel." I looked at Hunter. "Mr. Mr." I called, "Mr." I shrieked, making him recoil. "Here's Mr. Daniel," I mocked, handing him my phone.
He barely turned around and is now facing the frame door rather than me. He appeared to be busy, so I took advantage of the opportunity to check him out; after all, it won't hurt if I only check him out today, right? I haven't seen him in a long time. I last saw him when he was still this small. Kidding
He's dressed casually in sweatpants and a hoodie. It's quite elegant, and I enjoy it. Don't get me wrong: I admire his sense of style, not him. Delulu. I've never seen him dress like this; he generally dresses in very uncomfortable clothes to appear cool in front of the students. Well, he's holding on to the words they've given him: Handsome and cool. I roll my eyes and scoff.
I didn't fall for him only because he was attractive. I met his mother by chance at a grocery store and spent some time with her. I had no idea she was Hunter's mother at first because they had such a distinct attitude, but they shared the same eye and lip shape. I went to her place when she asked me to. She informed me about several events that occurred when Hunter was a small child, which made me fall in love with him.
When he's at school, he's not acting like him. He's not only cold, distant, and unpleasant; he's much more. Hunter is a caring, charming young man who adores his parents.
I slanted my head slightly as I gazed at his lovely face; without a doubt, his mother is stunning. I'm also curious about his father's whereabouts. I'd never seen him before. I'm curious as to what Aunty is up to right now. I'm missing her.
"Are you done looking me out?" he asks, smirking. As my phone rang, indicating someone had messaged me, I shook my head and yanked it from his grip.
"Are you done talking?" He didn't react when I asked. "Well, get out of here," I said as I slammed the door in his face. I breathed a sigh of relief and leant against the door, my chest clenched. My mind tells me I'm being sarcastic towards him, and I agree, but my heart is behaving strangely.
He said outside, "She's familiar." For a brief moment, my mind went blank, my heart slowed, and my eyes enlarged. Is he telling the truth? I'm doomed if he recognizes me. I'm going to assist her because it will benefit me in the long run; it will allow me to get away from him.
"Shane. I need Shane right now." I instantly dialed her number.
