"Miss Jackson, my office, now." I heard Eros' voice call my name and when myself and Harry looked towards the door only to see Eros standing by the door looking like he was ready to pounce on Harry any minute from now. He was not even subtle with the looks he was giving him. Harry did not seem a bit intimidated that his boss was having a stare down with him.
I did not have time to reply cause he was already out of my office. I rolled my eyes at his childishness. "I will be right back, please," I told Harry as I gave him a pleading look and then left for Eros' office.
I did not bother to knock on his door and just barged inside. "Can you tell me exactly what your problem is right now?"
"He," he pointed outside, "he is my problem." He looked a little bit angry.
"Harry is just as friend for Christ sake." I told him for the billionth time. We have had this arguement a lot of times and he keeps saying Harry has a 'thing' for me. Is that not a really absurd thing to say?
"Why do you keep saying that Everytime?! Have you seen the way that guy looks at you? He looks at you like you're a freaking meal he is ready to devour!" Okay, he sounded really pissed now.
I sighed then moved closer to him. I wrapped my hands around his waist and then looked up at him, "look, I understand what you are saying, but he is my friend and he actually helped a little when you were away even if he was an asshole at first." I shrugged.
He groaned and then placed his forehead on mine. "You do not have anything to worry about." I assured him as I placed a light peck on his cheeks and then smiled. "You are the one I love."
I did not even notice I had said the L word. He had a look of surprise and...happiness? My breath hitched waiting for him to push me away but he only pulled me closer and then, "You love me?" He asked.
I want to say yes, everything in me was screaming yes! But what if he rejects me this time again. It would be so much worse than when he told me he didn't like me.
"Yes, I love you." I blurted out, "and I know you do not feel the same way because it was just the contract that started binding- us together but I can wait for you to feel the same, that is if you'll ever feel the same towards me. It might take some time but-"
"I love you." He pulled me closer and then crashed his lips on mine. "You talk too much." He whispered against my lips making both of us laugh.
"You do?" I asked again.
"Yh, I love you so much and I know I have not been showing it the best way to you, but, I do. I really do love you."
"I love you too." I grinned and then hugged him.
"And that is why I want to do this today."
"What?" I asked smiling.
He moved away from me and then moved to the huge window that was facing the whole city. "Is something wrong?" I asked already getting worried. I moved closer to him but not too close.
It took some time before he turned around to face me and he looked really...nervous?
He moved a little bit closer to me and then, "turn around."
"Just tell me what is going on Eros." I was already getting worried.
"Just, turn around, please."
"Okay, okay, fine I will turn around." I turned around my arms crossed around my chest.
"Okay, you can turn now."
I turned back to my original position and saw him on his knee with a nicely shaped diamond ring. My breath hitched in my throat, arms uncrossing. "Eros..." I trailed off.
"Janet, I know when you started working here with me I was really a stupid asshole to you and then you called me out on my bullshit. That, that was what drew me to you. That was what made feel so attracted to you, cause all the other ladies I have ever been with, they never ever called me out. They just obeyed whatever I told them to do. And I know I have done some terrible things to some of those ladies and I am not proud of it." He stopped to stare at me directly in my eyes.
"You make me a really happy person and without you, I don't think I would ever know what loving someone felt like and what been loved felt like. I can not explain how I feel inside whenever I see you sleeping on my bed, it's just...so right."
I smiled as I used my hand to cover my mouth.
"Janet Jackson I want you to do me the honour of making you my wife. I want you to bear my last name and my kids and then we'd move anywhere if you do not like our present-"
"I will marry you." I nodded my head repeatedly. "Yes! Yes! Yes! I will marry you Eros!" Tears streamed down my face.
"You will?" He asked again.
"Of course you idiot!" I hit his arm chuckling, "I will marry you." I grinned as he then slipped the ring into my finger.
"Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!" He chanted all over again as he lifted me up from the ground, twirling me around.
"I love the ring." I said as I admired the beautiful ring on my finger.
"Jade helped me pick it out." He grinned.
"Jade?" I asked surprised.
"Yh."
"I can not promise you it would get better from here Janet, but I can only do my best because I know I am going to mess up. I want you to know that I Love you no matter what happens."
"I know." I nodded.
"Do you want to get out of here?" He asked me as he pulled me closer.
"Yh, sure. Let me tell Harry and then pack my stuffs." I said.
"Okay." He grinned but kissed me really hard before I left.
I am getting married to Eros! But, not just because of the contract, but because he loves me!
