Belinda's face changed suddenly.
"Impossible!"
Maria has never had the habit of copying the script since when they've been giving her so she was quite shock to hear her say this.
"How is it impossible?"
Maria looked at Belinda and her eyes were calm. From her face, there was not a trace of lying or anger. Maria took a step back.
"Even if you have a copy of the scripts, you want to go by yourself to meet the producer and the general dirctor to say this? Do you think they would believe you? They will call you a thief for stealing my work" she said with a pretending bald look.
She was really scared of what Maria is saying but then she didn't want to be at the loosing end.
Maria smiled lightly. "Try me. Just tell me one more time to pay you six folds of the money again and you will see the next magic. Do you wanna dare to gamble?"
Belinda is going crazy. This little and nameless Maria is in her cage and she was ready crushe her as simple as crushing an ant. But now she seems to be the one caging her. Why would she be held back by this slut? Looking at Maria's eyes, she gritted her teeth deadly. She didn't dare to gamble!
Maria is just a nameless stuntman, but she, Belinda is different. Her career is just getting started, and leaking the script, if it is made public, will be a stain on her future stardom. It will ruin the play and surely she will have to pay for damages if sued.
Even more, if Maria said the reason why she leaked the script.... And everything they've done to her both outside work and inside work........ Belinda's face turned white. She knew she and Chris would be totally ruined.
She grabbed Maria's hand and stared at her viciously.
"You despicable villain! When I gave you the script, I trusted you! You white-eyed wolf!"
Maria shook off Belinda's hand fiercely, and the smile did not reach the bottom of her eyes, "Everyone might have the right to say this about me, but you, no" she said and shook her head.
With that, Maria turned and strode away. Belinda's assistant rushed up and hugged Belinda.
"Miss Saxon, you let her go like this?"
Looking at Maria's back, Belinda squinted malevolently. What Maria said to her wasn't expected at all. It was a bomb dropped on her.
"Let her be arrogant for a while. I'll get her soon".
Maria took the script as a handle, and it would definitely not last long. In few days, when all her scenes were filmed, the whole crew knew the content of the second female script, and when the time came, she wanted to see what Maria will threatened her with.

Coming out of the studio, Maria received a phone call. The drunken voice of the middle-aged man on the other end of the phone rang.
"Good daughter, Daddy misses you!"
Maria paused slightly, "in need of money again?"
"Yes".
The person on the other end of the phone laughed twice.
"I'm at home, send it to me." ”
After saying that, without even a single extra greeting, he hung up the phone. Maria closed her eyes and let out a long sigh.
It wasn't anyone else who had just called her. It was her biological father, Johnathan Strongs. Johnathan Strongs is a rotten drunkard living in a slum. As broke as Maria seem to be these days because of the debt she was paying, she still manage to set aside some money for her biological father. She knew he would definitely come ask for money. Maria would have not taken the man's life as a priority, if it had not been said that he doesn't have a single family to look after him.
"Drink less in the future".
Smelling the wine in the room, Maria frowned faintly. She's never a fan of alcohol.
"I am married, I may not give you money in time in the future, you should learn to take care of yourself".
With that, she turned and averted.
"Wait!"Johnathan shouted at her. "Are you married?"
Maria nodded.
"Daddy has nothing for you."
Jonathan turned around, pulled out an old jade pendant from under the dirty torned sofa and handed it to her.
"This is left to you by your biological mother, you can have it ".
"Okay".
"This jade pendant, like the birthmark on your lower back, should be well protected and not easily seen by others" he warned.
"I see" was all she said.
After speaking, Maria turned and left.
Jonathan stood in place, looked at her retreating back, and smiled bitterly.
"In the end, she looks so much more like her mother".

Coming out of the slum, Maria was talking on the phone while walking, and when she passed the alley, there was a rush of footsteps behind her.
"Mommy, I want to eat..."
