No one’s home when I got there. I was expecting to see mom but she’s nowhere to be found. We're expecting Levi and his Dad but it’s already lunchtime and they’re yet to arrive.
I went to my room to check my social accounts and saw a couple of friend requests on Facebook. There are fourteen of them in total but only one got my attention.
It's a friend request from someone named Yel Avanzeña. I checked on the profile pic and that confirmed it. It’s Yel indeed, the guy we met at the hotel. I accepted the request and my messenger immediately popped up.
Yel Avanzeña: Hi gorgeous! How are you?
Me: I'm doing fine, you?
And the convo went on. He said he had just come back from the US and he remembered me when he stayed at the same hotel.
So he tried searching for me on Facebook and fortunately, he found me. The question is, how did he know my last name?
I keep recalling whether I happened to tell him my last name but I’m pretty sure I didn’t. We’ve only met twice so it’s not that hard to remember.
But instead of making a fuss out of it, I just dropped the subject. He looks harmless anyway.

On the last weekend, before school started, the group decided to go to Patron. It’s my first time coming here and I was amazed as it wasn’t just hype.
It's indeed an awesome place. The sound’s eargasmic, the setup’s cozy, and the drinks have low alcohol. It's definitely meant for the underage.
Everyone’s present as we all want to make the most out of the last breath of vacation. When we got there, we opted for the couch as there were not many people passing by it.
The boys ordered vodka. Us girls, including Kale, opted for the suggested drink, which is named Zombie.
An hour in, Kevz started calling everyone to the dancefloor and of course, Kale and Kellen gladly joined him. What I didn’t expect is that the rest of the boys will join in, except for Drew.
So here we go again with our awkward situation, as we’re the only ones left on the couch. Thankfully, were sitting far from each other.
I can see him stealing glances from time to time but it seems like he can't muster enough courage to talk to me. Or maybe he doesn't really have any plans of talking to me.
To ease my tension, I reached for my glass but I pulled it a bit rashly and it spilled on my skirt. I reached out for the tissue but Drew was quick enough to hand it to me.
He moved closer and the tissue keeps coming while I was busy wiping my legs. I can hear him saying something but since the music’s loud, I can’t figure it out.
As he looked like he’s already said a lot, I leaned closer to listen. He seems to have repeated everything but since I still can’t hear him, I turned to look at him.
But who knows that destiny will be playful in this situation?
I didn’t know he was super close that when I turned to face him, our lips brushed at each other. My eyes widened in surprise and so are his.
He quickly moved away and continued handing me tissues until I signal him to stop. When he did, he stayed where he is so I moved a bit further before turning to him and thanking him for the help.
He just nodded at me before passing over his phone. It’s on SMS mode and there’s something written there.
‘Sorry’ is displayed on the screen so I responded with ‘It’s fine’ before giving back the phone to him. I thought it was over but then he gave me back his phone.
Drew: I really didn’t mean it. Hope ur not mad.
Me: I’m not. Swear it's fine.
Drew: Thanks
Me: For?
Drew: Not getting mad
Me: You’re weird
Drew: I know :(
Me: Sad?
Drew: Cause weird
Me: Cheer up. Being cheesy doesn’t suit you.
I returned the phone to him and he read it. I saw him typing to it and was about to hand it over when he saw the rest of the group approaching us.
He quickly slipped it into his pocket and I almost laughed at his reaction. I glanced at him and he grinned so I smiled back.
“We just went for a dance and now you’re smiling at each other?” Kevz teased. I can’t believe that in this darkness, he’s still able to see that simple exchange.
“And why are you there Drew? That’s Kip’s seat!” Roj told him off.
“My drink spilled and he helped me,” I defended as they’re starting to tease him again. Kip nodded but his eyes are still doubtful.
I looked at the rest of them and noticed that Kale and Kellen are missing. “Where are they?” I asked no one in particular.
“They went to the CR,” Homme replied.
I excused myself to follow the two. They were already on their way out so I had to push them back in.
I was staring at them and they were just doing the same. They looked even more confused than I am. “I need your help on something,” I told them.
“What something?” Kellen asked intrigued.
“And don’t whisper. The music outside’s too loud, they won’t be able to hear us,” Kale told me.
I let out a sigh before pulling them away from the door. “OK, I’ll ask you guys something but I hope we can keep this convo between the three of us,” and they nodded in unison.
“Is this something super serious that it can't wait 'til we go home?” Kellen asked and it’s my turn to nod
“Here goes, what if someone you're so distant with made your heart flutter? Does that mean anything?”
“What do you mean so distant?” Kellen asked.
“So distant that you can't even say you're friends. I mean, yes you know each other but you barely converse and the atmosphere’s more than awkward when it’s just the two of you. Do you get it?” I asked as I’m confused too with what I said. I don't even know why I'm asking them this.
Oh yeah, it's because my heart fluttered when Drew and I accidentally kissed. I felt the same with Rawbin but he's a different case, he was my boyfriend back then. But Drew is Drew, it’s just, weird.
The two of them paused to think, they even gave each other confused glances. I heaved a sigh, it looks like I won’t get anything from them.
“Maybe you like him?” Kale was unsure of his reply.
“Ok, let’s say I like him. Does my heart suppose to flutter? It's nothing more than liking him anyway!”
“Hold up, cuz, to make things clearer, can you just tell us who you’re referring to?” Kellen asked. I looked at them, anxiously. ‘Shoot! How am I gonna say this?’
“Is it Drew?” Bingo! I nodded slowly to answer Kale’s question and I, too, jumped when they both started jumping and screaming.
“Hey! Calm down! You guys are overreacting!”
“Well cuz, I find Drew--” Kellen started but I had to stop her.
“Think of another name, don't mention HIS name!”
“Apollo?” Kale suggested and I nodded, that will do.
“So yeah, I do find him weird. Most of the time, I can see him looking at you, no, he’s actually staring,” she continued.
“And remember when you fought with Tanya? Wasn’t it him who saved you several times that day?” Kale added.
“I remember that, but he made it clear to me too that he didn’t do that to save me. He said he's just saving the band’s reputation.”
“Really?” Kellen responded, pouting. “But he’s like that ever since, he’s always been distant. Back then, he was only close with Kevz. I’ve known them for a long time but I’m still not close with him, unlike Roj and Kevz, of course, except for Homme since there are feelings involved.”
“But why did you suddenly ask? What happened that made your heart flutter?” Kale pried so I generously told them what happened and they started squealing again.
“You mean you got romantically excited because of that?” Kellen asked again and I slowly nodded.
“O-M-G Lem! What if you’re not just crushing on him? What if your feelings are deeper?” Kale exclaimed.
I narrowed my eyes at him. ‘For real? Could it be I'm falling for him? But how is that even possible when we barely talk?’
“Well, this isn't the time to think about that. I guess it’s best if we’ll observe Apollo. Then let’s see how things will go from there,” Kellen suggested and we both nodded at her.
After that meeting in the restroom, we went back to our table. I stopped on my track as I saw an irritatingly familiar face sitting next to Drew.
It was the girl who visited him at the studio. Seeing the two of them, I felt my cheeks burning and I know I'm furious at the moment.
Why won’t I be? She’s not just sitting next to him. She's literally licking his neck and this asshole’s enjoying it.
When I walked past Drew, I made sure I’ll step on his foot, the same goes for the girl she was with. I’m sure it’ll feel good as I’m wearing heels.
They both squirmed in pain but the leech even added a scream to it. I sat next to them and covered my mouth, “I’m so sorry!” I gasped. “It was hard for me to see, I’m really sorry!”
When Drew nodded, I immediately turned my back on them. Kellen rolled her eyes while Kale is as red as a tomato as he holds back his laughter.
I snatched Kip's glass of vodka and downed it. He was surprised by what I did but he didn’t refuse when I asked for a refill.
As we stayed longer at Patron, I started feeling dizzy. I can't even recognize my voice as I’m already slang.
We talked about random stuff, Kekang, Kellen, and I. But I’m a little feeling a bit uncomfortable as a hand keeps hitting my waist.
I'm wearing a fitted above-the-knee dress and I can feel the warmth of the palm. Unfortunately, those are unintentional touches.
I ignored the first three instances as they are more like taps. Then again, I froze in place when I felt him caressing my curves.
He's literally moving his hands up and down the backside of it. I felt bolts of energy surging through me, but like I said, instead of enjoying, it irritates me.
When the touches linger, I turned to face them and to my surprise, they were already kissing passionately. They’re doing it right next to me and right in front of everyone else.
I can feel the surge of blood in my head. Although I’m dizzy I stood up to get their attention. They both looked up when they noticed me standing
“Can't you two just go somewhere else?” I asked and I made sure my voice is loud enough for them to hear.
In my peripheral view, I can see how Roj and Homme are looking at us while whispering to one another. Drew creased his forehead but the leech just leaned on his shoulder.
“What's your problem?” she’s slang too.
“The problem is you should be doing whatever it is you're doing somewhere far from here. Just so your kissing partner isn’t touching me too!” I snapped.
