Father's Love

Father's Love

King Jo Jo

Chapter 1: Bullies.

As the bell of dismissal started ringing, my heartbeat increased, like it was trying to jump off from my chest. The sound of the bell was like a trigger, signaling the start of a dreaded ritual that I had grown accustomed to, but never got used to. It was like a punch to the gut, a reminder of the torment that awaited me. The loud, piercing noise seemed to echo through the hallways, making my anxiety spike.
There was a group of boys who always bullied me and a few others of our classmates. They were our seniors, making it hard for us to report them to the authorities. We knew that if we did, they would get to us again later, and the consequences would be severe. They would make our lives miserable, and we would be labeled as snitches. The fear of retaliation was palpable, and it kept us quiet.
As I was stepping out of the class, I felt an arm around my shoulder immediately. It was like a vice grip, holding me in place. "What's up, David?" he said, laughing as he was dragging me along with him. His voice was like a knife, cutting through my nerves, making me feel uneasy. I tried to shrug him off, but he held tight, his grip like a steel trap.
I tried to walk faster, but he held me back. "Hey, slow down, David. We're not in a hurry." He was enjoying this, and I knew I had to play along. I could feel his hot breath on my ear, making my skin crawl.
As we walked down the hallway, I could see the other boys waiting for us. They were all smiling, but their eyes were cold and menacing. I knew I was in trouble. They were like vultures, waiting to pounce on their prey.
"Hey, guys," the boy holding me said, as we approached the group. "Look what I found." He was like a hunter, proud of his catch. The other boys snickered and jeered, their eyes gleaming with excitement.
The leader, a boy named Jake, looked me up and down. "Well, well, well. Look what we have here. David, my old friend." His voice was dripping with malice, and I knew I was in for a rough time. He was like a king, surveying his kingdom, and I was his subject.
I tried to speak, but my voice caught in my throat. I knew I had to pay him, or face the consequences. My mind was racing, thinking of ways to escape, but I knew it was futile.
"So, David," Jake said, his voice cold. "Do you have our money?" He was like a collector, come to claim his debt.
I nodded, trying to hide my fear. "Y-yes, I do." My voice was shaking, and I hoped he didn't notice.
Jake smiled, his eyes glinting with triumph. "Good. Hand it over." He was like a predator, waiting to pounce on his prey.
I slowly reached into my pocket and pulled out the money. Jake took it from me, counting it with a sneer. "Not enough," he said, his voice cold. "You owe us more."
I knew I was in trouble. I didn't have any more money, and I knew that Jake wouldn't hesitate to hurt me if I didn't pay up. I was trapped, with no way out.
"Please, Jake," I said, trying to reason with him. "I don't have any more money." I was begging, but I knew it was futile.
Jake laughed, a cold, mirthless sound. "That's not my problem, David. You should have thought of that before you decided to cross us." He was like a judge, pronouncing his sentence.
I knew I was in trouble. I had to think fast, or face the consequences. My mind was racing, thinking of ways to escape, but I knew it was futile. I was trapped, with no way out.
Jake pushed me with a force that sent me tumbling to the ground. I fell hard, my palms scraping against the rough pavement, the skin tearing and burning. The wind was knocked out of me, and I struggled to catch my breath, my lungs burning from the impact. I tried to sit up, but a sharp pain shot through my head, making me wince.
"Pick him up," Jake ordered the other boys, his voice cold and detached, like a general commanding his soldiers.
The boys hesitated for a moment, their eyes darting back and forth, before moving to obey Jake's command. They lifted me off the ground, their hands grasping my arms and legs like a vice, their grip tightening as they held me firm. I tried to struggle, but they held me fast, their arms like iron bands.
"Follow me," Jake said, leading the way to the back of the school, his pace quick and purposeful.
My heartbeat was pounding in my ears like a drumbeat, growing louder with every step, the sound echoing through my mind like a mantra. I knew I was in trouble, and I couldn't escape, the realization settling in my stomach like a cold, hard stone.
As we reached the backyard of the school, Jake stopped and turned to face me, his eyes glinting with malice, like a predator eyeing its prey. The other boys formed a circle around us, their eyes gleaming with excitement, their faces twisted with cruel anticipation.
"Well, well, well," Jake said, his voice dripping with malice, like honey laced with poison. "Look what we have here. The little victim."
The boys snickered and jeered, making caricatures of me, their voices like a chorus of mocking laughter. One of them pretended to cry, while another made a mocking face, their eyes gleaming with cruel amusement.
"Leave me alone," I said, trying to sound brave, but my voice was shaking, the words trembling on my lips.
"Oh, we're just getting started," Jake said, his eyes glinting with amusement, like a cat toying with a mouse. "You're going to pay for crossing us, David."
The boys closed in, their faces twisted with cruelty, their eyes gleaming with excitement. I knew I was in for a beating, and I couldn't do anything to stop it, the realization settling in my mind like a cold, hard fact.
"What are we going to do with him, Jake?" one of the boys asked, his voice eager, like a dog waiting for its master's command.
"I don't know yet," Jake replied, his eyes narrowing as he thought, his brow furrowed in concentration. "But I'll think of something. Something special."
The boys laughed, their voices echoing through the backyard, like a chorus of cruel laughter. I knew I was in trouble, and I couldn't escape, the realization settling in my mind like a cold, hard stone.
"Please, Jake," I said, trying to reason with him, my voice shaking, the words trembling on my lips. "Don't do this. I'll do anything."
Jake smiled, his eyes glinting with triumph, like a king surveying his kingdom. "You'll do anything, huh? Well, we'll see about that."
