Chapter 33: Better condition

It turned out that his hand was holding hers all night, so it created such a hot feeling. Zane was about to pull his hand back but suddenly stopped. He suddenly wanted to stroke her face, moving his hand down her left cheek. She stirred slightly, showing signs of waking up, Zane was scared so he quickly withdrew his hand.
Clara felt her throat dry, her head aching like a hammer, her whole body aching. She struggled to open her eyes, her eyes closed, to determine where she was, her eyes involuntarily glanced sideways to see the silhouette of a young man staring at her. She was so surprised, her body stiffened, almost screaming. May kept the scream in his mouth in time. Her heart stopped beating in silence. Until his hand waved in front of his face.
Clara just sighed, allowing her body to relax. Thank goodness he hasn't seen it yet.
Clara rubbed her temples lightly, gathered her previous memories, and looked back at him. Clara frowned slightly, still not completely confused. Until his voice spoke, eager to know if she was awake?
"Cinderella! You're awake, aren't you?" He tilted his head slightly in anticipation.
Clara blinked her eyes slightly, as if she had guessed the situation, her vision was clearer, and then she whispered, "Why am I lying here?"
"She fainted."
He said, suddenly she panicked and reflexively jumped up, the wet towel because she didn't notice it was lying on her stomach, unfortunately, the sharp pain made her stop, lying back on the bed, gasping for breath.
Seeing that, Zane panicked and jumped up from the chair, reflexively reaching out to hold Clara down. Unfortunately, he was amputated, his arms swinging back and forth. Desperate to reassure her.
"Don't get excited, the doctor said you need to rest."
"I'm fine, sorry to trouble you." She said as she struggled to sit up again. Apparently noticing her actions, he begged quickly.
"You are still very weak, quickly lie down and rest. Don't think too much, I don't mind."
"I'm fine." Clara insisted: "I'm sorry to go to work, sorry for causing you so much trouble."
With one hand on the bed, straining to sit here, Clara tried her best to get out of here quickly. Didn't notice it was nighttime.
She was so stubborn, so stubborn. He gave her advice, but she still refused to listen. Finally, he got angry.
"Lay!"
Clara was startled and quickly stopped, with her unyielding tenacity she finally sat up, Clara looked straight at Zane, a hint of grievance rose in her eyes. Wasn't the last sentence an order? For some reason, she suddenly felt more deeply than ever about her identity. That cold voice... she was actually a bit scared...
Zane is not much less than her, he doesn't understand why he uses such a cold commanding tone with her, realizing that she seems to be scared, he suddenly feels bad about himself but doesn't know how to handle it. How he cleared his throat.
"I don't want to see other people fall in front of me. Especially people who are nice to me."
"What did you say?"
Clara was once again bewildered, she originally intended to get out of bed, not wanting others to look at her and misunderstand. Unexpectedly, he opened his heart to her. Suddenly he reached out and took her left hand. Clara was startled and wanted to withdraw her hand, but he held it tightly and didn't want to let go.
"At least until you're fully recovered, I'll let you go. Now lie down."
Her face was burning hot, Clara hurriedly lowered her head to hide the emotional tears that had just fallen, the atmosphere was so stuffy. For the first time, someone made her cry.
He suddenly gave her a strange warmth. That made her happy, but at the same time even more scared.
"Is this your request?" She asked, at least preferring to follow his boss's request than to receive his attention.
Frustrated, she confused him: "Yes, that's a request."
He satisfied her wishes.
"I know." Clara obediently submits.
She leaned back in silence on the soft bed, at least for now.
Zane was bewildered again when there was no longer any sign of her resistance. She said nothing more. He hated the silence, it gave him a feeling of suffocating anxiety.
"Cinderella! Are you okay? Say something." He touched the edge of the bed to get closer to her.
Clara lay still, her eyes closed and then slowly opened, she looked at the boy who was groping to come to her, his lips slightly curved, and a feeling of nervousness surged in her heart.
"I was lazy again and made you worry. I sincerely apologize." She said she felt very guilty. Clara looked at him with concern, the feeling of neglect for the mission became more and more obvious.
"Don't say that, you'll be fine. Just rest assured, everything will be later."
He quickly reassured her, then sat back down in the chair, receiving a howl. He was afraid that she would panic and lose consciousness again.
What is this feeling? It was so peaceful, it really made her feel relieved. Unknowingly, a slight smile appeared on her lips, and she looked at him again before drifting off into a peaceful sleep.
The silence broke in again.
"Cinderella!" He called when she said nothing more. Again, she made him standstill. Zane leaned in closer to her, heard the steady and harmonious breathing, he rest assured to sit back in the chair, it turned out that she was still not fully awake, only because the sense of vigilance was awakened just now. Just like that, he put his head down next to her hand and fell asleep when he didn't know.
By the time it was already dawn outside, Clara, out of habit, woke up, looking at him for a long time, her heart rising with a strange agitation.
'What made me meet you?' She wondered.
Although at first she felt unapproachable, arrogant, or looked down on by others, gradually she realized, behind the mask that was displayed for everyone to see, hidden behind it was a completely different person.
After a while, feeling that everything was fine, she crept out of bed and left the room.
He is still fast asleep.
Zane slowly raised his head, the warm feeling made him want to sleep a little longer, seeing nothing made him forget where he was for a moment. Zane reached out and pulled the blanket... Wait, is it a blanket? Zane was startled to sit up, his mind was slow to grasp the situation around him, he was still sleeping on the chair, his head down next to her bed, but since when did he have a warm blanket on him, could it be? Zane shook his head in fear... the thought of oversleeping and the sick man on the other bed waking up to get the blanket for him made him feel extremely guilty and ashamed.
"Cinderella!" In a panic, he waved his hands wildly, noticing that the bed was empty. A feeling of dread rose again.
Clara disappeared again.
