"Mau! I can't do this! You know I can't get tired, right?"
I shook my head because of disapproval. I've refused a few times but he just doesn't seem to have it. It's not mandatory to participate in these games but Mau forced me.
"Shara, it has grades and it's not really difficult. Jelo is your partner so don't worry."
Son of a bitch! How can I not worry, these games are just for Senior High students. It was the said surprise of our principal that we imagined for Junior High students. That said, it is for us to enjoy this day so that this will be one of our best unforgettable memories ever.
Just in case, why am I still involved in this game?! Where girls and boys are still partners that I really hate. I don't even understand this game. My shoelace was tied to Jelo's shoelace and we would do everything we could to keep it from coming loose until we reached the finish line. It's freaking hard to walk like this! We are like net fools!
"Don't be nervous, Shara. I got your back." He smiled to relieve me.
"The game starts now!" The bell has rung to signal the start of the game.
We had sixteen students participating in the game and eight pairs from different sections. Sadly, Jelo and I were chosen by our treacherous classmates. And now, we’re not even halfway through I’m already sweating.
"Like this, just follow my steps. Walk once and then jump three times. Just repeat, okay?"
I nodded and tried what he said. The cheering of the crowd were getting louder and louder and supporting their team. I was even more nervous when we landed in third place instead of in fifth place. Though, we're just in the middle of the race.
"Go Section-B! You can do it! Win our section!" More cheers from our classmates led by Maureen.
He grabbed my waist to support me."Stay still, we should've made a wrong move. When the laces on our shoes come loose, it's game over."
"I'll hold on to your arm? It's like I'll be out of balance when I don't have anything to hold on to."
He laughed at what I said and nodded. I'm also quite happy with this game even though I'm sweating a lot. We doubled our speed so we could get ahead of Section-A and were really surprised when we did it.
We really did it! We reached the finish line first! The crowd were screaming till death because of our victory. Even though I'm not sure if it's for us.
"Omg! Yay! Pres, we did!" I clung to him because of my fun.
"Of course, we're good, aren't we?" Pres messed up my hair so I just blushed.
Why did they like to trip my hair?!
After that game there was nothing to follow because we were being told to rest first. Mau and I separated from our classmates because we want to have time for ourselves. Like best friends bonding, that's it. We didn't really run out of stock but we saved at least a little for us to eat later for our snacks.
"What movie is being shown? Make sure the title is correct, it's a waste of our money when it just goes to nothing."
I ordered him to peek out the window of the movie, even though it was difficult because of the thickness of the cloth wrapped. It is restricted to peek to watch so we have to pay and inside to watch. But I want to make sure the movie is worth it and we haven’t watched it yet. What a waste of our ten pesos!
"Gosh! It's amazing what they're watching." Mau suddenly backed away so he stepped on my foot and I shouted.
"Mau! You're not careful!" annoyed I said.
"I'm sorry. But the show is corny." He even frowned when he said that.
"Why? What's the title?" My brows frowned.
"Deep Blue Sea."
"Hey! Why are you peeking there? I'll get you arrested at the Jail booth!" suddenly shouted the student guarding the entrance to the Movie booth.
We were caught so... run!
We laughed as we ran so we wouldn’t get caught. Earlier, Caseth and I were almost caught by the police officers. The bad thing is, his friends caught us kissing but they didn't believe it was just an accident.
I never did tell Mau about it. She's even more annoying than Caseth's friends!
"It's like our EK Academy, Shara. Look, there's a cotton candy right there. Let's buy it!" I just pulled her because I couldn't see what he was teaching.
Oh no! Destiny! Don't you really want to agree with what I want even now?!
"No! Maureen, we'll just buy something else. W-We'll go and buy ice-cream. Yes that's right... that's what I want. Come on, you're like me."
She struggled to hold me."But I love cotton candy! Let's go there first and then buy ice-cream afterwards. We're here again, we shouldn't come back, right?"
She's also hard-headed and stubborn. He also doesn't want to be with me.
"If you want, I'll just wait here. Just... hurry up!"
Her forehead furrowed as if wondering but later he nodded as well. When I looked at the one selling cotton candy in the distance, I saw Caseth and his friends who were also buying.
This school is too wide but why are we still meeting?!
"Shara! Come here! You want cotton candy?"
I immediately turned to the source of that shout and my eyes widened when Hades waved at me. I don't want to get along with them so I immediately run to avoid their presence.
How's that possible they saw me?! Did Mau told them that I'm right here and waiting for her?!
He ruins the mood!
"How much is that chocolate ice-cream?" I asked my male classmate from section C.
"It's only ten pesos."
After I accepted, I immediately left to find a place to hang out until Maureen returned. For sure she's with Ziro again. Once the two are together, nothing can really separate them.
They don't have a label! Chos!
"Shara! I don't have a job now, you want to try booths with me?"
I looked up at Racer as he held out his hand in front of me. I don't know why I didn't accept his hand but all I know is that, it'll will be awkward for us. Others may think that there is an intermediary between the two of us.
"Ah, come on! What booth do you want to try?" I asked for the normal air to return.
He put his finger on his index finger as if thinking."What if let's try the Dedication booth of your Class President Jelo and then your classmate Josh?"
"Yes, that's good. I also want to dedicate some confessions," I happily replied.
We went to Jelo's Dedication booth just a few steps from Maureen and me's Food booth. We even line up to pay for the sticky notes that we need to use to write the contents of our messages.
"How many do you want, Shara?" Josh asked me.
"Uhm... just two. How much is a sticky note?"
He first took two and then gave them to me."One is only five pesos. Our President is kind and I bet you know that."
"Yah, I know. Thanks for coming."
I went ahead to the table and grabbed a ballpen to start writing. I even laughed while writing on the sticky note even though I'm not sure they'll see it.
First, I'm going to tell you how pretty you are. You loves fashion and I'm always here to support you. Whenever I'm upset, you're always there to comfort me. I can't tell you this in person but you know how much I love you.

I immediately stood up to stick it on the board where the dedications were placed. I'm proud to say that Mau and I designed this board so at least we have a contribution. I glued the sticky note that was for Mau and put it along with the other sticky notes so that she wouldn't easily see, if ever that she's going to search for her letter that I wrote. I immediately went back to the table to write the second note.
"Are you done?" I asked Racer when he stood up as soon as I approached.
He immediately averted his eyes."Y-Yeah. I'll just stick it first?"
I nodded and immediately thought of what to write here. It's not a thank you letter like Mau's but since I'm not really sure if he'll read this, I'll just write what I want to say. After all, I know he's lazy to look for my letter and he has no reason to look because he won't know.
You know how much I hated you the most. You have always been on my tail and never a day do you annoy me. Everytime I wanted to avoid you, destiny has its way for us to meet over and over again. It's not a love letter, jerk! Actually I want to express all my resentment in the letter 'to but it's too small so that's it. Stop bullying others, dumbass!

Ugly
I don't know why I called myself ugly in this letter but it will be even uglier if I delete it so it's up to you. I immediately stood up and found my letter for Mau to stick next to it. Since the space next door isn't occupied yet, it's just here.
"Who is that letter for? It looks like your letter is very long."
I was surprised when Racer was next to me so I immediately pulled him away and shook. I talked with him for some stuffs before he decided to go and fix his things. It's already four o'clock in the afternoon so everyone is starting to put away their belongings. Though, it's not easy to clean up all the clutter in the Academy because it will continue tomorrow.
"Bess! Where did you go? I've been waiting for you here for a while to help me clean up!" She was smiling in front of our booth so I knew he was really waiting for me.
"I was just walking around the booths because you looked busy before." I crossed my arms while walking towards her direction.
"Yes, but why didn't you come with us? Hades called you earlier but you ran away."
I removed the curtain from our booth and looked at him."My stomach hurt suddenly so I ran to look for CR. Besides, Caseth was with you and I don't want to be with him."
"Do you hate me that much?!"
"Fucking hell!" I shouted suddenly when someone spoke behind me.
"Hi, Shara! I thought you were staring at my face so you suddenly ran away earlier. Did you know that---Ouch!" Ziro threw Hades just next to him and when I looked at him he just smiled.
His friends were really weird!
"Why are you guys here?" I wonder question.
Maureen came in and pointed to the two large bags we had brought this morning."They helped me clean our mess, Shara. How long can I wait for you?!"
"No one said thank you at all," the jerk next to me whispered.
"Oh, thank you brother?"
His mouth turned black when I called him older brother. Maybe he didn't like to be called like that. Even if I stand up for myself when I call him brother. Like duh! That nickname is also ugly for him.
"Dude, he's older! You're just his older brother." Hades laughed at him but when he looked at him he suddenly fell silent.
"Don't you really want to see me or even my shadow?" he asked me seriously.
I stared at him for a minute, thinking for an answer."Y-Yeah. I want to focus on my academics and I can't do that while you're around. Why? Will you do that for me?"
"Sure. Your wish is my command." He immediately came out of our booth with my forehead furrowed.
Is he mad or what? Aish. It's up to him. Just me, I said what I wanted to tell him.
When we got to Maureen’s house we were very tired, too. We both lied on the sofa and closed our eyes to relax for a while. It's really the most tiring day this school year. Our Intramural last year was also fun but not like this school year. We are the ones in charge because we are graduating, so maybe that's it.
"Why did you say that to him, Shara? What if he was right?"
I suddenly looked at him while frowning."Which one is that? That, I don't want to see him thingy?"
She nodded."What would you do if he followed what you said? What would you feel?"
"What should I feel? Maybe freedom because he's going to leave me alone so no one will bother me anymore." I got up and helped him as well.
She stared at me intently and nodded."You just said, it's up to you. Repentance is late, it's up to others."
Repent? Why would I regret it? Maybe I don't have anything to regret for what I did.
