Celene POV
I'm currently in my room, reading my educational book when someone knocks on my door. Pagkatapos kong mag breakfast ay agad akong umakyat to avoid my sister. She's been annoying me these past few days!
"Celene, come on. Samahan mo na ako" pangungulit nito.
Hindi siya makapasok like she always doing caused I lock my room this time. 
My brow creased when she started banging my door laud!
"Go away Cerene! I told you I will not come!" I said exasperated while trying to focus on the book at hand. 
"Come on Sister!  Kaya nga ako nagpapasama sayo diba? For you to know that what I'm doing is not kalokohan as you called it!" she said with a lace of annoyance in her tone. 
I chose to ignore her, but as time pass by na hindi ko siya pinapansin ay ganun din ang paglakas ng katok ng pinto. 
Goodness! 
Padabog kong isinara ang libro, I marched out of my bed and then open my door. 
"God! Since when did racing become not a kalokohan?" I said, giving her my fake smile I can muster while gritting my teeth. 
She smiled sheepishly while flipping her hair.  "Come on. You're acting like it will be your first time"  
She passed by me and entered my room. Tinahak niya ang closet ko at pinanghahakot ang laman nito. 
My room is identical to hers except the closet. She had a big one since she has a lot of clothes. She needs it!
"What are you doing?" sinundan ko ito at tinignan ang mga ginagawa nito sa closet ko. 
"I'm looking at your clothes. I need to find you proper clothes to wear". Her hands fly like a pro while rummaging my things. 
I sighed in frustration. 
"Hindi nga ako sasama sayo. Ano ba ang mapapala mo sa kaka-race?"  I said almost yelling. Nakahalukipkip na din ako while glaring at her. 
She just shrugged and continued what she's doing like she didn't hear a thing from me. 
I rolled my eyes at no one in particular. 
"Give me a valid reason why I need to go with you" I challenged her. 
God! She seems determinate. Natigil siya sa ginagawa at halatang nag-isip. I secretly smiled as I expected she couldn't give me one. There's just no valid reason as to why I should have to go with her in that damn car racing.
"I'll stop annoying you if you go with me". Her back on me that's why I can't see her reaction. 
"Hmmmm tempting but not good enough" nakangisi kong sabi feeling triumphant. 
Humarap siya sa akin.. "Then don't sister, I will continue to annoy you whenever and wherever I can"  nakapamewang niyang sabi. She then showed me her evil smile. 
Napangiwi ako. God! She can be persistent sometimes and I can't afford to be annoyed everytime I'm with her. 
I think for a while. Debating if I still can afford to be annoyed or to just go with her and stop my suffering. 
"Ok, fine! I'll come with you, but you will not annoy me after this" pagbabanta ko.
"Of course" she giggled evilly. 
Matapos kong sumang-ayon ay naligo ako at nagbihis. Paglabas ko nang bathroom ay wala na ito sa room ko. Nakapatong na sa kama ang inihanda niyang isusuot ko. 
My brows shot up after seeing the white dress above the knee. Why would she choose this? I'm expecting pants and a t-shirt since it's a race! 
"You're ready?" she ask nang makita ako sa living room.
I just nod scrutinizing her outfit. Magco-complain sana ako bakit nakadress ako but I stop my self. She's wearing a red dress as well. 
As we arrived at the parking lot she told me we will use Aihama's car. 
"So, hindi ako kasali sa makikipag-race?" Agad kong tanong ng sabihin niya ito. 
"Of course, pinapasama lang kita, you just assume you're going to participate too!" nakapamewang niyang sabi. 
I sighed in annoyance. But it's not bad. Kaya ayaw kong sumama is because I thought mapapasabak din ako ng race. 
I lazily entered the car. I side-glanced at her when she entered too and I saw her grinned at me. 
Soon enough, we arrived at very familiar place. Walang pinagbago ang lugar simula ng makapunta ako dito. I saw familiar faces as I scan the people in the area. 
Cerene parked the car at the line where most of the car is currently lining up to participate in the race. 
"Dito ka lang muna. I'll just talk to Allyana and Hannah" lumabas ito matapos itong sabihin. 
I just shrugged and wore my headset to listen to my favorite songs while waiting for her. I know it will take more time for her to be back! 
And I'm right! I've been waiting for nearly thirty minutes now! Goodness! Nababagot na ako. Kailan ba magsisimula ang race? 
I sigh for twenty times now! 
Another twenty minutes passed and she's still missing. I groaned loudly and decided to closed my eyes. Isinandal ko ang ulo ko sa head rest at nag-focus na lang sa Playlist ko.
Hindi rin nagtagal ay bumukas ang pinto ng kotse at agad din itong pinaandar. I didn't bothering looking at her dahil sa subrang pagka-annoyed sa kanya. I remain in my position, still closed eyes and just continued listening. Nakafull volume ang sound ko, so literally I don't know what she is doing. 
Pero napadilat na lang ako ng maramdaman ang  sobrang bilis nitong magpatakbo. 
"What the hell Cere.. ? W.. What... How dare you!" I scream as I tried holding on to something. I can't find my words when the car is literally flying! 
And god! It's not Cerene who is driving! 
I let out another screamed when the car suddenly turned without slowing down. 
My god! Pwede kaming maaksidente nito. 
"Ace.. What are you doing?" I yell still holding tight to the car handle and on my seat.  Agad akong nag-seatbelt nang makitang hindi pa pala ako nakakapag seatbelt.
Binalingan ko ito at seryoso lang siyang nagmamaneho nakakunot ang noo. 
Dammit! Anong kalokohan to? 
I scan the area pero wala naman kaming kasabayan na sasakyan so why drive so fast? 
Gusto ko mang lumabas ng sasakyan ay hindi ko magawa. Aside from nakalock ito at hindi ko mabuksan, ayaw ko ring namang mamatay just because I'm stupid enough to go out of this car when its flying! 
Mabilis naming narating ang finish line with a crowd cheering for us, or him. He must be the god of racing dahil sa pakikipag-race nito. 
"If you want to die, go die alone. Don't evolve me!" I snapped at him when the car stopped. I'm in the process of calming myself from the almost end moment of my life! 
He didn't say a thing instead, lumabas ito at sinalubong ang mga kasamahan na nakikipag kamayan. They’re all congratulating him. I shouldn't care about him as long as I'm alive but god! I can't stop my anger. 
I glared at his back. Agad din akong napaiwas ng tingin ng lumingon ito sa kotse with his knowing smirk.
"Damn you Ace!" I mumbled. How annoying! 
After one minute ay nagsidatingan din ang mga ibang kalahok na sumabak sa race. Pinangunahan ito ni Vince with my traitor sister! 
How dare she set me up with Ace? The person I tried to avoid for the past month! The reason for my sleepless night and the reason for my moving on stage kahit wala naman akong karapatan. How stupid of me! 
Pagkalabas nina Vince at Cerene sa sasakyan ay agad kinongratulate ni Vince si Ace. My sister went to Aihama's car kung saan ako naroroon at pumasok ito sa loob. 
"What did you do? I thought you would not annoy me?" galit kong baling dito.
She clear her throat. "I did not naman ah. Couple race ito kaya isinama kita. Ace has no partner so I thought bakit hindi ikaw?" she said nonchalant.
"Really! But why do I feel na pinlano mo ito?" I accuse, still mad. My tone full of sarcasm.
"Excuse me? Pinlano? Bakit sister.. may something ba sa inyo ni Knight at ayaw mo siyang kasama? Is there's something wrong that I should know?" nakataas na kilay nitong tanong sa akin.
"Of course not!" I said defensively and ignore her scrutinizing gaze.
God! She's better off not knowing my feelings for the guy. Baka ano pa gawin nito.
I saw her smile sheepishly.  "Anyways, congratulations!" masaya niyang sabi sa akin while texting someone.
"Congratulation for what? To inform you sister, I'm not the one who drive" pagpapaalala ko sa kanya.
"Yes, hindi ikaw pero kayo ang nakakuha ng prize even though gusto ko kami ang nakakuha" nasasayangan na sabi nito still texting.
Nangunut ang noo ko "What prize?" 
"A date for a day" baling nito sa akin na nakangisi.
I blink several times, processing what she just said. And when I did, napanganga na lang ako. "What the HELL?"
If only I could see my face right now, I probably looked like someone who just saw a ghost. I'm too shock!
Ang guess what? Hindi pa ako nakaka-recover sa mga nangyari ay kinaladkad ako ni Cerene palabas ng kotse para sumakay sa kotse daw ni Knight. 
She immediately close the car door ng masiguro na hindi ako maiipit kapag isinara niya ito. 
My god! I knew it, she planned this! My sister smirked when she caught my current state. I'm desperately trying to open the car but it's futile. It won't open no matter how hard I tried. 
"Open this" I scream, kicking and pushing the door hoping it will break.
She shook her head and just laughed. She then went to Vince! 
That girl! God! Is she even my sister? 
Sumakay si Ace sa driver seat kaya tumahimik ako. 
"You plan this" I accused him. I want someone to blame and Cerene is not here so he will receive my accusation
He sighed "I'm not, but I'm glad I participate" 
Hell! How dare he participate? I mentally cuss him a million times. I want to be mad but I will not do it. Not when he's around. I wanted to appear like he no longer affects me. I want him to see that I'm no longer the Celene he accused off, an easy jealous type of girl. 
"Screw the prize, just stop the car and let me go" I said nonchalant. 
He scoffed. "Not happening". Bumaling ito sa akin "Now answer me Celene. Why are you avoiding me?" seryoso niyang tanong.
My eyes widen. "My goodness, eyes on the road! Do you want to die?" I snapped as he titled his head to me while driving.
He stop the car. Tinanggal nito ang seatbelt so I thought papaalisin niya ako but I'm so wrong. 
Super wrong! 
He advanced in me, cornering me from my space. I then gulp as his face is just inches away from mine. He's looking at me intently 
"I want an answer baby, why are you avoiding me?" seryoso niyang tanong na nagpakaba sa akin ng tudo. 
Dammit! 
"Who's avoiding you? Is there a reason why I would avoid you, Mr. Zanturi?" nakataas kong kilay na tanong just so mask my nervousness.
He smirked. "Wrong answer," he said. Inilapit pa nito ang mukha sa akin eyeing my lips. 
I swallowed hard when he lick his lips. God! 
Nagsimulang magsi-bosina ang mga kotse sa labas kaya agad siyang napaayos ng upo at pinatakbo ang kotse. 
I secretly take a long breathe as I calmed my heart from beating loudly. What he did made me breathless. And I hope I'm not blushing, that would be so embarrassing!
Dumating kami sa isang restaurant. I immediately went out of the car not giving him a chance to be gentleman and open the door for me. Nauna na rin akong pumasok sa loob ng restaurant. 
The place is full of people mostly girls. Nang pumasok si Ace ay agad itong nakahakot ng attention. 
"Do you have a reservation ma'am?" nabaling ako sa nagtanong sa akin ng waiter.  
I smile at him. 
"I don't know. I'm just waiting for that guy. Maybe he has reservation" sabi ko habang nakaturo kay Ace.
He smile at me too. "You can sit here ma'am while waiting" itinuro nito ang empty seat sa tabi ko. Hinawakan nito ang upuan signaling me to sit. 
I smile at his kindness. Uupo na sana ako ng may maramdaman akong kamay sa bewang ko. 
"I have a reservation under Vince Zanturi. And flirting is not part of your work" singhal nito sa waiter. 
Agad nawala ang waiter na halatang natakot. Pinalitan ito ng isang waitress. She showed us our seat and gave the menu. 
Ace ordered his.  "How about you ma'am" tanong sa akin ng waitress while waiting. 
"Water" nakangiti kong sabi. 
Ace groaned hearing my order 
"Just get her what I've ordered" pagalit nitong sabi sa waitress. She immediately nods and gets away. 
Hindi rin nagtagal ay na-serve ang pagkain. As we are eating, may tumawag kay Ace. Agad kaming napalingon don. 
"Doc. Nicole, it's so nice to see you" nakangiting sabi ko sa doctora nang makarating sa table namin. 
A fake smile to be exact. 
Tinignan kami nito na may pagtataka sa mukha. "Are you two dating?" tanong niya sa amin. 
"Nope, it's just a meeting" agad kong sabi nang makita na magsasalita si Ace. He got silent after hearing my answer. 
Napangiti ang doctora. "Oh can we join you then?" exited niyang tanong. She's with a guy. 
"Not a problem," I said 
Ace shifted to his foul mood. His eyebrow creased. He's giving me a cold stare as I look at him.  Iniirapan ko na lang ito. 
Pinaglagyan ng dalawang upuan ang table namin. Ipinakilala ni Doc. Nicole ang kasama nito as Alan and apparently he's one of her friends as she introduced. Doc. Nicole sat beside Ace  and Alan sat beside me. 
After having their order, Alan whispered something in me that got my brows creased. 
"Are you sure this is just a meeting?" nakangisi niyang bulong. Napabaling ako sa kanya with confuse face. 
"Yes? Why did you ask?" bulong ko pabalik. 
"Because I feel like I'm being murder just by sitting beside you" he whispered habang nakangisi, binalingan nito si Ace. 
Binalingan ko si Ace at tama nga si Alan. He is clenching his jaw and his brow almost touched.  I throw him a questioning look. 
God! What is his problem? 
Doc. Nicole is saying something when Ace stood up abruptly.
"Let's go Celene we have to go" 
Nabaling ang attention namin sa kanya. 
"We are?" tanong ko. 
"Yes" galit niyang sabi. Hinawakan ako sa palapulsuhan at hinatak palabas ng restaurant. 
I heard Alan laugh as we exited the restaurant. 
"What is your problem?" nakakunot kong tanong dito. 
"You are my problem" nangangalaiti niyang sabi.
Nangunot din ang noo ko dito.
"Why are you flirting with every man you met? You're better off without them, Celene" galit niya pang sabi habang nagmamaneho. 
I gapped at what I've heard. "What are you talking about? That waiter you're talking about offered me to sit while waiting for you and Alan just sat beside me! Did I complain when Doc. Nicole sat beside you?" Hamon ko sa kanya.
He cussed under his breath. I rolled my eyes. 
"Anyways, It's a fake date so don't make such a big deal about it" walang ganang sabi ko. The one month of avoiding him paid off. Medyo hindi na malala ang pagseselos ko hindi kagaya noon. But why do I feel that he's becoming the jealous type? 
Hindi na ako nagsalita pa nang makitang galit na ito. We arrive at my apartment without breaking the silence. 
I bid my goodbye but he didn't say a thing! 
God! Such a lunatic!
