The day started out as how it always did, sunlight beamed through the small cracks of the windows in the room. Claudia sleeps through all of her alarms as usual, then the door slams open.
"CLAUDIA ORIANA MARIE XAVIER! You are late for school young lady, what's going on with you lately that you're sleeping in and missing like half of your classes?! At that rate you will not pass your classes and let alone, graduate. How will you take over the company if you can't even finish college?" Her mom yells as she opens the curtains to let more sunlight in the room.
This is Claudia Oriana Marie Xavier, a senior in college and heir to a company. Might say she's a typical rich girl, but Claudia or Dia as what her Family and friends call her is a humble and nerdy person. She's a bright student, well until a month ago that is.
In great annoyance, she just pulls the sheets to shield her eyes from the light, then her mom suddenly grabs ahold the sheets and pulls her out of the bed causing a loud thud.
"Ughhh, jeez Mom. What did you do that for?" Having this annoyed look on Claudia's face as she glances at her mom towering over her.
"Dia, what's going on? You used to be such a great student, you excel in so many aspects at school. Then one day you just derailed, please Mija. Tell me, what really is going on in your life?" She tries to hold Claudia in her arms but she backs away.
"Just leave me alone Mom, please. There's nothing wrong, I'm just fed up with all the things at school. I'll be fine, I'm going to take a shower and catch the next class." She says and walks to her bathroom, as it closes her Mom just watches her with great pain in her eyes.
As the bathroom door closes, Claudia collapses on the floor and cries.
"Where did I go wrong? How much more pain can I take? If only I didn't meet that girl, if only then I wouldn't be suffering this much. I wish I could go back in that time so I can take a different path and not run into her. Meeting her was such a nightmare!" She says and just burst out in tears.
After finishing her breakfast she quickly grabs her bag, gets her keys and drives to her university.
Looking around, she's scanning the place for that certain person she's been avoiding for a month now.
Luckily she didn't run into her that afternoon, she makes her way to her 3rd period class and gets the same old scolding from her professor.
She sits next to her best friend for life Safiya Cyra Khan or Saf, a goddess in the eyes of those around them. She excels at almost everything, be it her studies or sports. A perfect girl as what people say and like Claudia, she's rich and an heir to a multi-million peso company but having rich parents never made them into spoiled kids.
"Your late again" Safiya glares at her.
"C'mon don't give me that look, I already got an earful from Mom. Not you too" She sighs as she takes her seat.
"I'm just worried about you Dia, it's been a month and your still punishing yourself like that. Can't you just let it go and move on?" She holds her hands in deep concern.
"If it was that easy Saf, I would've done it already" And hits her head lightly on the desk.
"Hey I'm here, you know that. Right? I'm your best friend, I always got your back" Safiya combs her hair and beams at her with this bright smile.
"I know that, I'm so thankful to have such a great and pretty bff like you. I- I just think it's hard and you know exactly what happened. If only I can go back in time and change everything, I would've done it already. But such an impossible thing to happen without a Time Machine" And she hits her head again on the desk.
"C'mon, a broken heart never killed anyone. You'll move forward with time, I know you can. Now focus or I'll smack you in the head" Then she takes down more notes, as Safiya does.
She's an honor student like Claudia, well Claudia was. Not until she let her grades slip and loss her scholarship, not that she needed the financial assistance but her Mom was so disappointed at her.
The day just went by in a flash, Claudia wasn't even paying much attention as usual so she just stared out the window to look at the trees and bird's flying.
As classes come to an end, she quickly gathers her stuff and gets ready to leave. For she knows that if she stayed even a minute later, she'll run into her.
After gathering all of her stuff, she says a quick goodbye to Safiya and bolts out of the room and into the parking lot.
What luck has in store for her tho, as she was about to get into her car. She hears a familiar voice behind her.
"Dia, been a while" She looks back and sees this girl smiling at her.
