"Happy Birthday, Dexter!" masayang bati ko nang tawagan ko siya. Kaka-gising ko lang at plano kong puntahan ngayon si Isaac. Stable naman na daw ang lagay niya pero three days na siyang unconscious.
"Thank you, Nessa." he said over the phone. Akala ko binaba na niya dahil biglang tumahimik pero maya-maya ay narinig ko ang pagsinghap niya.
"Have you seen Ashllyne? Wala kasi siya dito pag gising ko." he asked.
"Ha? No, I haven't. Baka naman may pinuntahan lang. Malay mo, may surprise pala sa'yo." I teased which made him chuckle.
"Okay, I'll just wait for her. Are you visiting Isaac?"
"Yeah, kaya ibaba ko na 'to. Enjoy your day, bye!" I said cheerfully and ended the call. Dumiretso na ako sa banyo ko para maligo na daahil excited akong makita si Isaac. He's still unawake but I still want to see him. I want to be the first one he sees when he wakes up.
"Kuya, sa hospital po tayo." nakangiting sabi ko sa family driver namin. Tumango naman siya at nagsimulang magmaneho. When I got there, dumiretso na ako sa private room ni Isaac. Naabutan ko doon si Bryce at Lia na nag-uusap.
"Hey." I greeted. They both smiled at me and continued talking. They look serious so I didn't bother them anymore. Dumiretso nalang ako sa kama ni Isaac at umupo sa upuan na katabi 'non.
"It's me again, mahal. I miss you." I said cheerfully and kissed his forehead.
May ilang bandages siya sa katawan, meron din sa gilid ng ulo. I sighed. Kawawa naman ang mahal ko.
"Nessa, lalabas lang kami saglit. Ikaw na bahala sa panget na 'yan." biglang paalam ni Lia. I chuckled and nodded at her. Nang maiwan na kaming dalawa ni Isaac, I pouted and played with his fingers.
"Pinayagan ako nila lolo na bisitahin ka palagi." I giggled. "Salamat Bryce at Lia." I laughed remembering how they talked to them na kesyo kailangan daw ako ni Isaac.
"Gising ka na, mahal. Birthday ng kaibigan mo ngayon. First time mong hindi makaka-attend, magtatampo 'yun." pananakot ko. The doctor told us that it's good to talk to him, naririnig niya pa'rin naman daw kami. Ano 'yun, parang may coma lang? Haha.
"Mahal, miss na kita. Kahit palagi mo akong ini-inis, miss na kita sobraaa!" parang batang sabi ko.
"Gising ka na, please." I sighed and rested my head on his chest. I closed my eyes and stayed like that when I suddenly felt someone caressing the top of my head while gently stroking my hair with his fingertips
Nagtatakang nag-angat ako ng tingin at agad nanlaki ang mga mata nang makita ang nakangiting mukha ni Isaac.
"What the heck? You're awake, oh my gosh." sa sobrang gulat ko ay agad ko siyang yinakap ng mabilisan bago ako tumakbo palabas para tawagin ang doctor niya. I heard his chuckle because of what I did.
"Bwisit ka, you scared me!" inis na sabi ni Lia at pinalo ng mahina ang dibdib ng kapatid niya bago yumakap. Isaac laughed and kissed her temple before letting her go.
"You'll be here for three days for observation." Bryce calmly said when he got back inside the hospital room. Siya kasi ang pinakausap namin sa doctor dahil wala pa ang parents ni Isaac.
"I'm glad you're awake. The guys are on the way, too." dagdag ni Bryce at ngumiti. Isaac smiled and offered his fist to him. Hinayaan ko nalang sila doon, dumiretso ako sa cafeteria ng hospital para mabilhan nalang ng pagkain si Isaac. He must be starving.
When I got back, nandoon na ang mga kaibigan nila. I smiled at them and went to Dexter, "Nakauwi na ba si Ash?" I asked him. He frowned and shook his head,
"Wala pa'rin. She wouldn't leave me, right? Babalik 'din naman siya, noh?" he suddenly asked which made my brows crease.
Bakit niya naman natanong 'yun? Hindi naman siguro sila nag away, 'no?
"No, why would she?" I chuckled lightly. He sighed and just smiled a little,
"Nothing. Baka nago-over think lang nanaman ako."
Tumango at nginitian siya. "Hindi ka iiwan ni Ash, okay? Mahal na mahal ka 'nun." sabi ko bago lunapit kay Isaac.
"Kain ka na." I told him and handed him the food that I bought. He smiled at me and held my hand,
"I'm happy that you're here. I didn't expect you'd be." he said warmly and let go of me, focusing on his food. I looked away ang held my chest. That made my heart ache a little.
Inisip niya ba na hindi ko siya pupuntahan? Na hindi ko siya aalagaan? Gosh, I would never let him suffer alone!
But still, I understand why he thought of that. I mean, we already... broke up. It's reasonable for him to think that way.
"Anak." napalayo ako sa kama ni Isaac nang tumatakbong lumapit sa kanya ang mommy niya. Chase and all his other friends excused themselves, too. Hahanapin daw muna nila si Ash dahil hindi na ma-contact, nag aalala na kaming lahat.
Lumapit ako 'kila mommy na kadarating lang 'din. She smiled at me before kissing my temple, "Your cousin, Bryce, was the one who called us. Papunta na 'din sila lola mo." she informed me. I just smiled and nodded my head, staring at Isaac who's talking with his dad.
Isaac was asleep when Amber arrived with her parents, lola and lolo. Nasa labas sila lolo kasama ang daddy ni Amber at sila Bryce, I think they're talking about something. I stayed inside Isaac's room, watching over him and what Amber's doing. She went straight to Isaac and was about to wake him up but stopped herself. Lumapit siya sa pwesto nila mommy at nagtanong,
"So when's the wedding happening?" she asked, making Lia's brows crease.
Pati ako ay napairap dahil sa pagkairita. Hindi naman ako madaling mairita, but her question sounded annoying for some reason.
"We haven't talked about that yet, hija." kalmadong sabi ni tita Jayda, Isaac's mom.
"Pero di'ba dapat po, pinaguusapan na? Okay naman na po siya, ah? Makakalabas na siya in three days." Amber said. Napahilot nalang sa noo si mommy at Tita Bree habang ang mommy niya ay napangiwi,
"Anak, let him rest muna." Tita Sapphire said calmly.
"But mom!" she retorted. Hindi na ako nakapagpigil at lumapit na sa kanya,
"Kakagising palang ni Isaac, kasal niyo na agad ang iniisip mo? Can't you see? Ang dami niya pang pasa, oh. Did you even ask kung okay na ba siya, kung magaling na ba siya? You didn't even bother visiting him when he was still unconscious." I said and crossed my arms.
Wala naman na akong balak na pagsabihan siya, pero namumuro na siya sa'kin, eh. She's too selfish and insensitive. Hindi ko nga alam kung may pakialam ba talaga 'yan kay Isaac o ano.
"Hindi ka kasali sa usapan na 'to. You're just saying all of that dahil hanggang ngayon, hindi ka pa'rin maka-move on na ako ang papakasalan niya, hindi ikaw." she said like a bitch and smirked.
"Nessa, has a point, Amber." singit ni Lia. "Kaka-gising palang ng kapatid ko." inis na sabi niya.
"No, you're only saying that because you're Isabelle's best friend." Amber fought back. 
"They're both right, hija. My son needs to rest. Your wedding can wait." Tita Jayda said firmly. It made Amber frown and Lia smile.
"Fine. As long as there's a wedding, I'm good." she finally gave up and rolled her eyes.
"There's no wedding." biglang sabi ni Bryce na kaka-pasok lang. He's with lolo, my dad, his dad, Amber's and Isaac's.
Mukhang may seryoso silang pinag usapan dahil seryoso din ang mga mukha nila.

"Ha ha, very funny, Bryce." Amber boredly said and sat on the couch. Lia rolled her eyes and walked towards Bryce,
"What did they say?" I heard her ask.
Anong meron?
"The wedding between you and Isaac is off." Lolo told Amber. We both gasped and our eyes widened in shock. We both know lolo too well, he never jokes about things. That's why I'm so sure that he's serious about what he just said and he's not lying.
"W-What? There's a contract! Hindi nila pwedeng baliin 'yun." Amber said. Napatango naman ako at nagtatakang tinignan si Bryce at Lia na magkatabi. Shit.
"Don't tell me-" 
"Yes. We're getting married instead." Bryce confirmed.
"What?" Amber shrieked, making Isaac open his eyes.
"Ang ingay!" he groaned. "Natutulog 'yung tao, eh. Parang hindi kayo pamilya." inis na sabi niya at umayos ng upo. 
"As I was saying, hindi matutuloy ang kasal niyo." balewalang sabi ni Bryce.
"Kaninong kasal? 'Yung sa'min ba?" lutang na tanong ni Isaac. No one could even answer him, we're all too shocked. Kahit sila Tita Bree, natahimik. Pati sila mommy hind maka-imik.
"Yes, Isaac. Hindi ka na ikakasal kay Amber." singit ni Lia at umirap. Napakurap naman si Isaac at tumingin kay Bryce.
"Seryoso, Bryce?" gulat na tanong niya nang makabawi. Bryce smiled at him and nodded. Lia also gave me a warm smile, she walked close to me and hugged me tight,
"I want you and my brother to be happy. I love you both so much and it hurts seeing you two sad because you two can't be together." she whispered.
"You don't have to do this." naiiyak na sabi. What they did was so... I can't even explain how I feel!
"I want to." she said and let go of me. "Take care of my twin." she smiled. I nodded at her and glanced at Isaac who looks like he's about to cry.
"We'll leave you two alone." rinig kong sabi ni Tita Jayda at nagsilabasan na sila. Narinig ko pa nga ang pagkaladkad ni Bryce kay Amber, eh.
Nang maiwan kami, lumapit ako sa kanya at ngumiti, "Hindi ka na daw ikakasal." I told him. He smiled and reached for my hand,
"Pwede na ba tayo?" he asked like a kid. I cried and hugged him tight.
Sa sobrang saya ko sa nalaman, naiiyak nalang ako. May tumulo na ding luha mula sa mga mata niya. I smiled and wiped his tears away.
"Gusto mo pa ba?" I asked hesitantly. Paano kung ayaw na pala niya? Paano kung takot na siyang sumugal sa'kin dahil alam niyang duwag ako at hindi ko siya kayang ipaglaban? Paano kung galit siya dahil mabilis ko siyang sinukuan noon?
All of my negative thoughts were washed away when he hugged me back and buried his face against my neck, making it wet in tears.
"I will never say no to you. Mahal kita, Vanessa. Mahal na mahal." uniiyak na sabi niya. I sobbed because of the joy I felt.
"Mahal 'din kita." I said softly while caressing his hair with my fingers.
