Chapter 13
“AREN’T WE going to the other places here in Puerto Princesa? I am sure na marami pang mapupuntahan dito.” Gusto ko pa kasing maglibot dahil pang apat na araw na namin dito kaya kailangan na namin sulitin. Bukas kami aalis ng gabi.
“Saan mo ba gustong pumunta?” He asked while playing with my hair. We’re here on the balcony of our hotel room.
“Kahit saan basta memorable.” I just simply said because that’s what I wanted. Hindi naman kailangan ng engrande basta may makukuha kang magandang memories ayos na sa akin iyon. I want wonderful memories. I want memories that I can clearly remember.
“Hmm. That’s all?” I just hummed for my response because I was just too sleepy because of what he was doing with my hair. It was just too good to feel.
“Don’t you want anything else?” Napaisip naman ako. Wala na ba akong ibang gusto? Siguro sa ngayon ay wala pa dahil ang gusto lang ay maging masaya kahit pansamantala. Alam ko naman na hindi magtatagal ang kasiyahan ko.
“Wala na muna.” I closed my eyes just to feel relaxed, but I am too sleepy to stop myself from sleeping.
“If that’s what you want, my love.” He whispered before I fell asleep and a tear escape from my eyes.
“Yeah. I am with her, so she’s safe.” Nakamulatan ko na nakikipag-usap sa telepono si Denver habang nakatingin sa labas.
“Just update me about the people who are in this hotel. Para maaksyonan ko agad at walang mapahamak.” He said in a serious tone. We’re here in my room. Binuhat niya siguro ako kanina noong nakatulog ako sa hita niya.
“Also, give me three battalions of bodyguards. In case something happened, we have backup.” And with that I got alarmed. Why does he need three battalions of bodyguards? Is there something wrong?
“Yeah. I know. Just in case lang naman.” And then he hung up the phone. He sat on the edge of the bed. I just stared at him because he looks problematic. Parang madaming siyang inaalala dahil sa nakausap niya sa telepono.
Gustuhin ko man na titigan na lang siya habang namomroblema ay hindi ko kaya. Masakit para sakin na makita siyang ganyan. Since I already decided to open up to him, then I won’t stop myself from diving in for his charms and the next that I will know is that I am drowning in his flooding care and charms unconsciously.
I sat on the bed and approach him. Mukhang hindi niya naramdaman ang paggalaw ko dahil nagulat pa siya nang hawakan ko ang magkasiklop na kamay niya.
“You okay?” I asked him innocently. He hugged me from the side and answered my question.
“Yeah. Just some trouble that I need to straighten up. So I need to come up with plans.” He rested his head on my neck. I just hummed. It was peaceful not until I started to feel his soft kisses on my neck.
Tumikhim ako at magsasalita sana pero iba ang lumabas sa bibig ko. Pinamulahan ako ng mukha samantalang si Denver naman ay pinagpapatuloy pa rin ang kanyang ginagawa at tinawanan pa ako.
“Well, uhm. Why do y-you need a-ah battalions of b-bodyguards?” I felt him stiffened and stop what he is doing. Tinignan ko siya pero nakatingin lang siya sa leeg or I can say na nakatulala na parang hindi alam kung anong sasabihin niya.
“Is it dangerous that we need those bodyguards?” Naguguluhan kong tanong. Hindi pa rin nawawala ang hiya ko dahil sa ginawa niya.
He slowly looked at me and stared at me for a while, like he was analyzing something. He still has that blank and dark eyes right now and it’s too vague to see his emotions. I am good at this, I am sure of it, but this expression that he is showing to me is bothering me because I can’t see anything.
Kumunot ang noo niya at lumamlam ang mata niya ng kaunti. He has this bright yet masculine personality, but that’s my opinion because of what I’ve seen before. Hindi ko alam kung ganoon din siya sa ibang tao dahil kanina noong may katawagan siya sa telepono ay seryoso at malamig ang naririnig ko sa kanya.
He looked like a beast from the back, especially when I heard that tone of his voice. It gave me chills when I heard his voice.
“Just trust me in this, okay? I can’t explain to you this because it’s too early for you.” Nahihirapan niyang sabi. Parang hindi pa siya sigurado sa sinabi niya.
“But why? I am curious and worried if we are in danger. What if something happens? What we get hurt? What if-“
“Hey. Don’t panic. It’s under my control. I already have a plan. Just trust me, okay? That’s all I need for now.” He said like he is assuring me that there is nothing is going to happen. But I am not. I don’t know, I just have a panic attack. naguguluhan rin ako dahil ganito ang inaakto ko. Hindi ako duwag o ano may hindi ako maipaliwanag na nararamdaman.
“Hey. Don’t think of anything. Just think that we are having a vacation. Don’t think about the trouble that might happen, but I will not let that happen.” He said and kiss me in my temple. He held my cheeks gently that make me calm for some reason that I don’t know.
“Do you have magic?” I suddenly asked him when I was already calm. Because he always makes me feel like that since then. He wiggled his eyebrows playfully and smirk like a dog.
“Why? Am I making you fall for my charms?” Oh yeah. Fvck him because it’s true. I just rolled my eyes at him and frowned because it gave me a full strike.
“What charms are you saying? Puro kapangitan lang naman ang nakikita ko sayo.” I said playfully.
It’s not true because he has a chiseled jawline, pointed nose, dark eyes, and curved lips. He has brown hair that suits him and a full-figured body. He has these ebony eyes that fit the darkness of his eyes. He is playful but I can see his eyes’ darkness even if he is showing his bright personality.
“Is that so? Then, how can I be handsome in your eyes?” Nakangusong sabi niya. Napaismid naman ako dahil sa kanyang itsura.
“Kapag hindi kita kilala panigurado gwapo ka. O kaya kapag wala ka sa paningin ko gwa-gwapo ka.” Malokong sabi ko sa kanya.
“Tch. How can I be handsome kung hindi mo ako nakikita?” Naiinis na sabi niya sakin.
“Exactly. You can’t be handsome.” Nangiinis na sabi ko pa. May sasabihin sana siya ngunit narinig namin na tumunog ang telepono niya kaya hindi na niya naituloy ang sasabihin niya.
He picked up his phone from his pocket and answered it directly in front of me. He just listens to the caller when he answered the phone.
“Yeah. We’re safe. It’s great that they are showing themselves and being bait on their own bait. Tell me if you notice someone or something about them.” He said, but his voice was cold. He listened to the caller after that they ended the call.
“Are we safe now?” Tanong ko agad ng maibaba niya ang tawag. Nginitian niya ako at tinanguan tsaka hinalikan ng marahan sa labi.
“Now sleep, because I have a surprise for you tonight. You need to rest and stay still because I will prepare magic for you, babe.” He huskily said. I hope that the magic that he is going to do will be true.
He slowly leans in and my breathing is ragged because of his sudden move. My hands trembled because of anticipation.
And he didn’t disappoint me because I felt his soft lips on mine. He kissed me slowly and gently, like a fragile glass that anytime will break, but as time passes by, his kisses became rough. He nipped and bit my lips before he infiltrates my mouth and my mind.
