"Keep quiet." He whispered at me. We are not walking in the dark corridors of the library. Maingat ang mga galaw namin. Hindi ko maiwasang tumingin sa patalim na hawak ni Onyx tumutulo pa ang sariwang dugo dito. Evil's hour and we are looking to the secret passage.
"There it is." Onyx pointed a bookshelf in front of us. It looks normal bookshelf at all. He sighed.
"If I didn't lose the key I'm sure I'll drag you out of this hell." Malungkot itong ngumiti sa'kin. I just shrug at him.
"Just be patient makakalabas din tayo dito, Onyx. This game will end too." I give him a reassuring smile. Bago pa ulit ako magsalita he pushed me away and I heard someone's groaned in pain. Napatingin ako kay Onyx wala na ang dagger na hawak n'ya nakatarak na ito sa noo ng taong nasa likuran ko.
"Let's go they'll attack us any moment." He intertwined our hands together and we run to back to my dorm.

"So what's your plan?" I asked Onyx he was busy typing on his laptop. He's hacking Leighton's security. After we talked that day. Onyx never left my side. He even sleeps in my room. He becomes my full-time bodyguard. He and his friends never talk again after the incident in the room. Onyx become colder at them. Today is Saturday so we don't have class today.
"Just, wait baby. I'll try to hack this f*cking security. We cannot trust anyone here. We need help from outside. That's why I'm trying to breach the security of the who University to give us access outside kahit sino sa labas." He explained while seriously looking at his laptop. Umiwas ako ng tingin. Hindi ako sanay sa tinatawag n'ya sa'king baby it gives me goosebumps.
"It looks like planadong-planado ang lahat." He hissed. I tapped his back. "Malinis ang gawa nila. I can't even know who's the traitors in my friends." He chuckled but it sounds bitter.
"Do you think makakalabas pa tayo dito?" He suddenly asked. His eyes are losing hope. Sa mga araw na lumipas maraming buhay ang nasasayang and every breath that they took away because of greed caused for many to lose their hope to live anymore. "I want you to get out of here kahit hindi na ako kasama, I'm not scared of dying here as long you can get out of here." I held his hand and squeezed it. I know all of this is new to me. But it gives me a comfortable feeling. With Onyx I feel so home.
"We'll get out of here together..." I said, more pledged.
"Do you want to know who's the traitors?" I asked. Tinitigan n'ya ako.
"What-" He wasn't able to continue his words when a loud explosion interrupted him. Ramdam namin ang pag-yanig ng paligid. Napatayo si Onyx. Kita ang kaba sa mukha n'ya.
"Stay here, I need to check it." I nodded. He kissed my forehead before leaving. Pagkatapos ng ilang minuto. I wore a jacket with a hood and go outside. Tumakbo ako sa pinaggalingan ng pagsabog. There I saw bunches of students crying. Some of them are covered with blood in's girls' dormitory.
"EVERYONE THAT IN HERE PROCEED TO GYMNASIUM!" Onyx yelled. Kasama n'ya sila Alex but he didn't even give them a glance.
"AT BAKIT KAMI SUSUNOD SA'YO? THIS IS YOUR F*CKING FAULT ONYX. JUST DIE ALREADY-" Napuno ng sigawan ng biglang sakalin ni Onyx ang babaeng sumigaw. He is mad. Kitang-kita sa mga mata nito. Mad at the same time tired. He's tired of dealing with this game. Pero ano nga bang magagawa n'ya if s'ya ang puno't dulo ng laro? I feel bad for him.
"WHAT DID YOU F*CKING SAY?" Namumula ito sa galit. Orion and others tried to calm Onyx. Marahas n'yang binitawan ang babae bumagsak ito sa lupa. She's now coughing. Tumalikod na ako para walang makakita. Hanggang may humila sa'kin sa isang sulok it's Kit kasama n'ya si Slade.
"What the f*ck are you thinking, Ganther? Are you now in a relationship with Onyx?" Kit hissed.
"What do you want?" I asked kalmado lang ang boses ko.
"Ano ba talagang pinaplano mo?. You are just inviting your own death, Ganther. You are our friends. You are my only friend and I can't let you die because of him." A tear left in Kit's eye.
"Ganther, your game is going to lead you in your own destruction." It's Slade his voice is weak. he sounds disappointed.
"What if Onyx is just fooling you? What if he is not really in love with you. He hates you and now everything is in chaos, maybe he's looking for a distraction from his problem and it's you. What if he is just toying you. Maybe it's a pure lie.." Kit frustratedly spat. I smirked na nagpatigil sa kanila. Lumapit ako sa kanilang dalawa. I tapped their shoulders and whispered words that I know that'll hunt them.
"And how about the two of you? Do you really know that your picked side will save you in this hell? Lahat tayo dito demonyo. And being demon means being selfish and a traitor. Always remember everything is possible in this place. What if your so-called savior will be your enemy in the end. This game is too pathetic. Do you know what makes me really excited about the nonsense game?" I flashed a sweet smile at them.
"The end of this game when everyone will realize that they're fools." Tinalikuran ko na sila at iniwan. Pagdating ko sa floor ng dorm room ko. I saw Misha with her annoying smirk. Nang makita n'ya ako she chuckled.
"How's my fool brother?" Hindi ako sumagot. She took a step closer to me. She tsked.
"I don't know you can really flirt. Dang, you are really unreadable brother. Onyx and you? How surprising." Nilapit n'ya ang labi n'ya sa tenga ko. "Enjoy your time smile as you can because the psycho like you will cry too. Bago matapos ang laro nila Onyx mawawala kana. Because you'll get hurt and definitely kill yourself because of pain. Hindi kita hahayaan maging masaya. Never you don't deserve happiness." Tumawa ito sa tenga ko. Nagsimula na s'yang maglakad paalis but when I opened my mouth she stops.
"Yes, I'm in love with him. And whatever happens, you'll never ever destroy me. Ikaw ang kailangan mag-ingat. Once Onyx found out that you are one of the traitors. I'll never protect you. And remember? You are part of my piece and any moment I'll make a move to make you suffered." Pumasok na ako sa loob ng kwarto ko. Nawala ang ngisi sa labi ko. Pinilig ko ang ulo ko. I stared at my chess pieces. Pilit kong inaalis ang mga salita nila sa utak ko. I saw that Onyx really loves me and I know it's true. Sa kanya lang ako makikinig.
Nagising ako ng maramdaman ko ang mabigat na titig. I slowly opened my eyes just to see Onyx staring at me intently. He immediately beamed as our eyes met. I gasped when he suddenly hugged me. Binaon n'ya ang mukha sa balikat ko.
"Hey, what's wrong?" I asked him. He just shrugged.
"Nothing, I just want to hug you and say," Huminto s'ya saglit. "I love you..." No one says that simple I love you's can melt you.
"Moi aussi..." (me too.) Lalong humigpit ang yakap n'ya sa'kin. I hug him back. We just hug each other until I was pulled again into a deep slumber. Na sana hindi ko ginawa. Because the moment I opened my eyes I was alone. I look for him. But he was gone for days. I search for him but I found nothing. I forgot my game. I forgot my plan.
"Ganther? Are you okay?" I can back in my senses hearing Kit's voice behind me. I didn't reply. I just stood up and start walking. As if I didn't see him. This is the very first time I feel so frustrated. I keep looking for him until I found a piece of paper on my desk.
"Rooftop. Meet me on the rooftop. Misha." I read it. Mabilis akong tumakbo papunta sa rooftop not minding those people I bumped when I ran.
When I arrived at the rooftop my eyes were glued to the scene that greeted me. Gusto kong takpan ang mga tenga ko sa mga halinghing na naririnig ko. Gusto kong biglang mabulag para hindi makita ang nakikita ko.
"Ughhhh~ Onyyx~." Misha moaned like a sl*t. Onyx is touching her. Nanatili akong nakatitig. I don't know what to feel seeing them like this. Misha's eyes met mine. Bigla itong ngumisi like she's telling me that she won.
"G-anther." She called me. Napatigil si Onyx. Lumingon ito sa 'kin. His eyes were cold. Inayos nila ang sarili sa harap ko.
"I'm sorry Ganther, if nadatnan mo pa 'yon. Ito kasing si Onyx hindi nakapagpigil." She said. Hindi ko s'ya pinansin. My eyes stared at him.
" Why are you looking like that to him-" I cut Misha off.
"Don't bullsh*t me, Misha, alam ko ang baho mo. So this is your game?" I asked her. She grinned and kiss Onyx in front of me. She clung her arm to him.
"Well, this sweet guy beside me really loves me. I asked him to play with you. To make you fall for him." She sweetly said.
"Is that true?" It might sound stupid right now but I don't care. Sinalubong ni Onyx ang mga mata ko.
"I'm sorry but it was all just a game..." He said. " I don't really love you. It's Misha." I don't want to believe but his eyes tell it's true or he is just too good at acting like how he acted in my face telling me he loves me.
"I know." with that, I smirked. Kita ko ang pagkagulat ng mukha ni Onyx kumurap-kurap pa s'ya. Humakbang ako natawa naman ako ng umatras sila. While Misha she looks like she saw a ghost. I clapped my hands slowly.
"Scared e?"
"Do you think, I'm kind of stupid to believe it that f*cking act? You are too dumb Misha. You too Onyx you are too fool not to notice that I'm faking everything. My smile, my innocent aura? Tsk you are too idiot to become a king in this place." I made a sad face.
"Sayang ang bilis matapos ng laro natin Onyx. I didn't even enjoy it." I smile at Misha. Gusto kong tumawa ng malakas. "Little sis, your Kuya is too disappointed on your move. Let see."
"I know it all lies..." I lied. Because I really fall into it. "And demon spit only lies and poison."
"That's why it was really hard to believe. Hays what a waste. Continue what you are doing have a nice day." I smug to them before leaving them dumbfounded.
"I told you..." It's Kit he's leaning on the stairs grill. The moment he saw my face, he was stunned. Sa hindi malamang dahilan napaatras s'ya habang nakatitig sa'kin.
"What's wrong?" I don't know if it was just me or not but my voice it's cracking and more lifeless.
"Y-you are crying, Ganther, but you are smirking..." Lalong tumaas ang sulok ng labi ko. I didn't care about the tears that falling from my eyes. I just give Kit a cold stare and left him hanging. I lay down on my bed. Staring at the plain ceiling. I patted my chest.
"For the second time, Ganther you are fooled by the person who promised that he'll protect you. Before dad and now, Onyx. Dad and Onyx are the same." I cackled.
"Did I forget this is a hell and all of us here are demons?" I asked myself but I shook.
"No, Ganther you didn't forget. There's no way you'll forget it because you are a demon too." Tumayo ako at tumingin sa salamin. I chuckled seeing myself shedding tears but grinning like a psychopath is kind of funny.
"It's hurt, Ganther?" I stared directly at my eyes reflection. I saw nothing but emptiness. "No, it's not f*cking painful because you are numb too much numb right?" I wiped the tears off but it was just useless my lifeless eyes keep shedding.
"I-it's f*cking painful..." Nanatili akong nakatitig sa sarili ko until silence makes everything noisy.
"Ganther, no one loves you. You should destroy them like how they destroyed your heart..." I heard voices against my ears. I covered my ears but it was no use. The voices keep whispering. It becomes louder and louder. Bumigat ang paghinga ko. My sweat is all over.
"Play with them. Play and ruin them. Make them see who's really the manipulator in this game. Make them suffer. Let out your hatred." Kinagat ko ang daliri ko hanggang magdugo 'to. Seeing blood makes me calm. My side lip rose again. I grab my eyeglasses out of my eyes and shatter them using my bare hand.
"Make them move according to your words. Don't let them win in this game. Move your pieces on your board. They are your pieces. Your puppet..."
"Yes, they are just my pieces. I'm still the one who'll make them move. And like I said to Misha she can't destroy me. No one can." Kinuha ko ang black Knight piece na nasa white side ng board. The piece of one of the traitors on Onyx's side. The next thing I knew I'm in front of that traitor door knocking. It opened.
"G-ganther..." I give him a big smile. I waved my bleeding hand at him.
"Hi, Tyren..."
