"Thank you. I appreciate it." I said and blew the candle then looked around but I didn't see Kyst. "Where's Kyst?"
"Probably outside with Ashton." Prier answered me so I nodded and thanked her then yawned.
"I'm sorry I'm really sleepy." I said and laid my back on the bed.
"It's okay. Just rest, you need them." Hillary said and told the other girls to go out.
"Can someone call Kyst? Thank you." I said and closed my eyes. I was fighting my sleepiness until I couldn't fight it anymore but he didn't come. I woke up when I felt my bed move and someone hugged me. "I called you a while ago. Why did you come just now?"
"I'm sorry. Happy birthday, babe. I love you so much, always remember that." He said as I turned around and pressed my face on his chest then hugged him. "You're still sleepy? Sleep tight, babe."
"Don't leave, alright?" I whispered before I fell asleep. I woke up because I needed to use the bathroom so I removed his arms on my waist.
"Where are you going?" He asked so I answered him to the bathroom then walked to it. After peeing I washed my hands and went back to the bed but I couldn't sleep anymore. "Are you okay? Bakit hindi ka mapakali?"
"I can't sleep again." I said and sat down, he did the same then I felt him hug me from the back. "You should sleep more, babe. It's just 3 am." I said but instead of laying back he rested his chin on my shoulder then hugged me tighter. I just let him do that not until I heard him sniff. "Babe are you okay?"
"Yeah." He said as I tried to peek on his face but he didn't let me. "You know that I love you so much right?"
"Of course babe but you're scaring me. Let me look at you." I said and tried to look again but he still didn't let me. "Kyst are you crying?"
"No." He said and sniffed. "I love you so much, Lovelle but we need to stop this. This relationship isn't healthy anymore. You've suffered enough."
"Panganiban I don't like what you're saying. It's like you're breaking up with me." I said and looked at him because this time his hug loosened up and there I saw him crying. "Are you really breaking up with me?" I asked as I stopped my tears from falling.
"Yes. I love you so much and that's enough to let you go." He said and held both of my hands. "I'm letting you go so let me go too."
"Adriel naman. Just because of this situation you're gonna let me go, break up with me? This isn't fair." I said and removed both of his hands from my hands. "I still can handle everything. Look, I'm not affected." I said as I felt my tears falling so I wiped it with my hands. "And why now? Why are you saying this to me right now? Today is my birthday."
"I don't know Lovelle. I don't know why I say this to you tonight. I talked to Kuya awhile ago and he's not agree with my idea but yeah. I already made up my mind, Lovelle. I already decided to let you go." He said as I hugged him. "Go back to Canada and be happy, Lovelle."
"Adriel, I don't want to do that. Not today, not tomorrow." I said and pressed my face on his chest. "Stay with me, Adriel. I told you I can go through heaven and hell with you."
"Yeah, you can Lovelle but I don't want to see you hurting for going through a lot because of me. So let's stop this, babe. You're too selfless when it comes to people you love so learn to be selfish sometimes first. Don't settle for less, Lovelle."
"Be selfish? Then stay with me, even just today, Kyst. Then I'll let you go. I'll go away from you." I said and cried even more when he hugged me back. "Let's not talk about this later alright? After my birthday, you can go. I'll let you go." I said, even though it's not easy, I said those words to him because I remembered my promise. A promise to assume that he has the best of intentions in every decision he's making for our relationship.
"Thank you, Lovelle." The last thing I heard him say was that because I fell asleep.
"Lovelle, babe wake up." Kyst said which made me open my eyes. "I'll cook breakfast for us. What do you want?" He asked just like what he always did. This scenario is actually normal but thinking that this will be the last made me tear up. "Babe don't cry."
"I want a pancake. Be fast please?" I asked then stood up. "I'll just take a shower." I said and walked inside the bathroom and looked at myself in the mirror. I looked like a mess. I shrugged my head and took a shower then I wore a black square neck midi dress. I applied makeup before going out. "Did I take too long? I'm sorry."
"It's okay. Here's your pancake and coffee. Sit here." He said and moved to give me space. I sat down beside him and started eating quietly then after I finished eating he put the tray on the side table. "You're so quiet."
"Can I hug you?" I asked him and instead of answering me he chuckled and pulled me into a hug.
"Is that even a question? You can hug me whenever you want to." He said and kissed my forehead. "Don't act like you're someone I don't know."
"It's not like that. Our situation is different." I said and shook my head. "It's kind of awkward to hug you without your permission."
"Lovelle we broke up but that doesn't mean the feelings fade. So act normal, act the way you act whenever you're with me." He said, which made me cry again. The feelings are still there but our relationship is gone. Why? "Lovelle don't cry, sige ka masisira ang makeup mo."
"Kyst naman kasi." I said and sobbed. "Why do we need to let go of each other when we still have feelings for each other?" I asked but he didn't answer me and just wiped my tears. "Hey Kyst, promise me one thing. You'll be happy and you'll be successful when I go."
"Of course, I promise to be successful." He said and said something but I didn't really understand it. "Promise me the same thing, Lovelle."
"Alright. I promise." To be happy while waiting for you to finish what you need to do. I believe that he just needs to do something that's why he's doing this based on how he acts. "I'll enjoy this day because I don't know if this will happen again." I said and chuckled then hugged him but then I quickly moved my face because I'm wearing makeup and his shirt is black.
"What's wrong? He asked so I let him see my face. He chuckled at me then got wipes on the side table and removed my makeup. "Why did you wear makeup? You're beautiful even if you don't have makeup."
"Tigilan mo ko ah. Baka hindi ako umalis sa tabi mo." Natatawang biro ko sa kanya saka siya niyakap. "What?" I asked because he whispered something but I didn't hear it.
"Nothing. Do you want to go somewhere?" He asked so I thought about where and the museum came into my mind.
"Let's go to the museum, for the last time." I said and put my ear on his chest listening to his heartbeat. "Your heart still beats fast every time I'm leaning on you like this."
"Syempre ikaw pa rin naman tinitibok ng puso ko kaya wag ka nang magtaka." Sabi niya at natawa. "Today won't be the last. We'll go to the museum again in the future."
"You're that sure huh? Alright. I'll remember that." I said and sat straight. "Let's go to them? They might be waiting for us."
"Should we let them go with us to the museum?" He asked so I nodded. "You sure? You don't want to go there alone with me?"
"Yeah, it's not new that they're going with us in the first place, babe." I said and stood up but stopped when I realized what I called him. "Oh, sorry."
"Yeah. Hindi pa ako nasanay, babe." He said and chuckled then stood up and put his arms on my shoulder. "Should I put my arm about your waist like I used to?"
"Do whatever you want. Let's go." I said and chuckled. He did put his arm on my waist then we went to the living room and there we saw them sitting there boredly while watching a movie, only Kielle and Heira seemed to enjoy it. "Hey guys! Are you guys okay? You guys look so bored." I said and chuckled.
"Lovelle." The girls called me in unison so I looked at them one-by-one and they all looked sad. "Are you— nevermind. Happy birthday." Hillary said and continued watching tv.
"They're not interested, Kyst. Go change your clothes. Let's go there alone." I said and they all looked at us.
"Where are you guys going?" Prier asked as she looked at me from head to toe.
"To the museum. Do you guys want to go with us?" I asked them but no one answered me. "Ayaw nyo? Sige kami nalang ni Kyst."
"We want to go." Kielle and Heira suddenly said and then I saw them looking at Ashton who's glaring at them. "Oh, nevermind."
"Kuya, everyone doesn't want to go with us because you're throwing them your sharp glares. Stop that." Kyst said to Ashton and chuckled then he looked at me. "Stay with the girls, Lovelle. I'll just take a quick shower. I love you." He said and kissed my forehead.
"Sure. Take your time. I love you too." I said and tiptoed to kiss his cheeks after that the both of us laughed after realizing what we did. I walked towards the girls and sat on the sofa while the boys stood up and went to Kyst. "Hey where are you guys going? Kyst will take a bath, stay here."
"Stay daw oh." Natatawa na sabi ni Kyst at itinuro ako. "Lovelle want you all to stay here."
"You can't decide for us, little." Kuya Klyr said and they all walked away. Kyst even laughed and waved at me.
"You and Adriel are okay?" Parang gulat pa na sabi ni Sydnie kaya taka ko siyang tinignan. Did they know?
"Yes. Why? Is there a reason for us not to be okay?" I asked her and she shook her head. We're quietly watching a movie while we're waiting for them and when they arrived we went to the University of Santo Tomas Museum of Arts and Sciences. We didn't stay there that long and then went straight to the mall to eat lunch then watched different movies at the cinema until we needed to meet our parents for dinner to celebrate my birthday with them.
The whole day and night was fun, not until the 12 strikes and we all went home. Gulong-gulo ako habang tinitignan ang mga maletang nakahilera sa sala namin. "What is this? Bakit ang daming maleta rito?"
"We're leaving." Ashton said so I looked at him confusedly. "We'll go back to Canada tonight. Me, you, Sydnie, Kylr, Gia, Cristy and Adriel's friends and our cousins."
"What the fuck are you saying? I won't go back there." I said and walked to my room and locked it. Wala pang isang minuto ay naririnig ko na ang katok at tawag ni Kyst pero hindi ko binuksan ang pinto. The knocking and then calling my name continued until I saw Kyst on my window, which made me stand up and open it in panic. "What the fuck are you doing Adriel? Did you go crazy?"
"Babe, listen to me." He said and held both of my shoulders. "You need to go with them, Lovelle. For the meantime, stay there and come back when everything is okay."
"There's nothing wrong here, Adriel. I won't go back there. I'll stay here and I won't disturb you. This is my life, this is my choice." I said while pointing at myself then removed both of his hands. "If you want me to go there too, get out of my room."
Everything was fast then I just saw myself on the plane landing in Canada.
