"You're offering me a date, babe. How about a kiss?" He whispered to me mischievously. I pushed him away and glared at him.
"How about a punch, Adriel?" I asked jokingly. "I'll give it to you after we finish eating."
"Then let's start eating." He said and all of the sudden we both heard a loud clap coming from my back kaya napalingon ako.
"Wow. You convinced Kuya Adriel to eat. What did you say to him that made him change his mind?" Tanong ni Heira. She's with the others. They left the others inside.
"It's not for you to know Heira and if you ever know about it you still can't persuade him. I'm the only one who can persuade him using what I said." I said to Heira and chuckled. "Chichismis na lang ba tayo rito? Let's go, they're already waiting for us."
We all went to the dining room and when we got there we all sat. Ashton is sitting on my left while Kyst is sitting on my right. We started eating and they talked about things I don't have an interest in.
"Your daughter, Lovelle will handle the hospital in the near future right?" Ashton's Tita asked that caught my attention.
"Probably. She's the only child I have." My Mom answered. Why do I have a bad feeling about this?
"How about arranging Ashton and Lovelle's marriage since they have known each other for years now." Ashton's Tita said that made my eyes widen. I looked at Ashton then at Kyst but I didn't talk.
"Excuse me Tita. You're being disrespectful." I heard Ashton say. His Tita don't really like him like they're doing everything to marry Ashton of lol. "I'm with my girlfriend right now and Lovelle and my brother have a thing. Please respect us."
"Yours and Lovelle's relationship is stronger than your own relationships right now." She said that made me stop eating. Ashton and I were best friends can't she understand that?
"Excuse me." Kyst excused himself and walked away. I tried to grab his hand but he's moving too fast.
"Where are you going? Wait for me." I said and stood up and looked at Ashton's Tita. "Please learn to respect others' feelings and you can't decide for us, it's our own lives not yours. Excuse me." I ran away from the dining room to my room to see if Kyst is there. "Babe." I called him as I locked the door.
"Why are you here? You're still eating, right?" He asked while I was walking towards him. He's sitting on the edge of my bed. I sat beside him and hugged him from the side.
"Are you okay? Don't mind what Ashton's Tita said a while ago." I said to him while peeking to his face. He looks sad. "How can I cheer you up, babe?"
"What if she's correct? What if your relationship with Kuya is stronger than what we have right now? What if you're really better—" I cut him off by pushing him to lay on bed. "What was that for?"
"Para matauhan ka. Stop overthinking, babe." I said and started tickling him. "Let's play instead." I was laughing while ticking him not until the table turned. "Oh my gosh Kyst! Stop!" I said in the midst of my laughs but he didn't stop there. He only stopped when he got tired and I was already catching my breath. Kyst is on top of me.
"Can I claim my kiss now?" He asked and was about to kiss me when we heard a knock on the door. He looked at the door, annoyed that made me laugh. "Who's knocking? They're wrong timing."
"Luck is not on your side today, babe." I said to him and chuckled. I gave him a quick kiss on the lips before pushing him to the side. I stood up and fixed myself then looked at him. "Fix yourself, babe. I'll open the door." I walked towards the door and opened it. Kuya Klyr, Ashton and Sydnie were looking at me suspiciously.
"Took you long enough to open the door." Sydnie said and went inside my room then looked around. "Where's Adriel?"
"In the bathroom? He was here a minute ago." I answered her and looked at the bathroom door because it swung open. I stopped myself from smiling when I saw how red his ears are.
"Your ears are so red. What did the two of you do?" Kuya Klyr asked Kyst. Kyst was walking towards me but Ashton blocked him.
"Not so fast, my dear brother." Ashton said to Kyst and fixed his collar. "Tell me what you did to our princess." He said again that made me laugh and go between him and Kyst.
"He didn't do anything. I tickled him and he laughed so hard that's why his ears are reading." I explained to them and looked straight to Ashton. "Your Tita is so eager to marry you off. You should get married this year."
"With you?" He asked, which made me cringe. What the hell is he thinking?
"Hell no!" Maiiring sabi ko kay Ashton saka hinila palabas si Kyst. I can hear Ashton's laugh.
"Where are you going? The two of you are being called to the dining room." I heard Sydnie say it before Kyst and I finally left the room.
"Should we tell them our relationship?" I asked Kyst and he looked at me for a minute before talking.
"You decide. I want you to be comfortable." He said to me and put his arm on my shoulder.
"Then let's not tell it to them and let's wait for them to learn about it on their own." I said and chuckled. This setup will probably be hard but if they knew about our relationship this early Ashton and Kuya Klyr would be always watching us. "I don't want to be watched 24/7. Ashton and Kuya Klyr are too protective like I'm still a teenager."
"If that's your decision then let's keep this way." He said while smiling.
"Let's go back to the dining room? If you only want to."
"Sure. Just don't forget our date later." Sabi niya kaya natatawa ako na tumango.
"I won't forget about it, don't worry. We'll eat dinner outside." I said to him and after that we got quiet until we reached the dining room. He removed his arms on my shoulder as we acted casually.
"Where did the three go? They went to fetch the two of you." Prier said when she saw us.
"We left them at my room. They're asking nonsense." I answered her as Kyst and I sat on the chair.
"They're asking nonsense? What kind of nonsense?" Hillary asked curiously.
"We're asking what the two of you did in your room is not nonsense, Lovelle Montego." I heard Ashton's voice that made me look in their direction.
"Why do you care? Kyst and I aren't minors anymore, we know what we're doing and besides we didn't do anything wrong."
"We know. We're just confirming." Kuya Klyr said and pointed at me. "Just fix your hair, Lovelle." Before I could even fix my hair I felt someone do it for me.
"Babe you told me to fix myself but you didn't fix your hair." Natatawa na bulong sa akin ni Kyst kaya siniko ko siya ng bahagya.
"I want to exchange seats with someone. Can someone volunteer?" I asked but only one volunteered.
"Try to exchange seats with Collene. I'll really talk to her if she ever talks to me and I won't talk to you." He whispered to me and I just rolled my eyes on him.
"As if I'm scared about you talking to her. I can even unblock her number on your phone right now." I said and got his phone from the table. I opened it and showed him how I unblocked Collene's phone number, I even saved it to his contacts. "Should I now exchange seats with her?"
"You're not jealous?" He asked so I shook my head. Even though I unblocked Collene's number I know that he'll now answer it. "You're still not jealous if I kiss her?" He asked so I glared at him and he just laughed at him. How dare he! "See. You'll be jealous."
"We're talking about seats here, Adriel. How dare you talk about kisses!" I said to him but he just kept on laughing.
"Adriel. Lovelle." I heard Ashton call us with an authoritative voice. Kyst and I both became quiet. "What kiss are you talking about?"
"This is your fault, Adriel." I said to him and he just looked at Ashton then to me.
"Not mine. You said it louder, that's why they heard it." He said to me then look at Ashton again. "Kuya, I'm just teasing her." He reasoned to Ashton and I heard how the others laughed.
"You shouldn't mind what they're saying when we're at the dining room, Ashton. They love teasing each other while eating." River said to Ashton and others agreed with her. Well they saw us tease each other while eating.
"Look how cute they're." Narinig kong sabi ni Tita ngunit hindi ko na ito pinansin at nanahimik nalang sa upuan.
"Yeah. They were cuddling while sleeping on the sofa when I woke up. It makes me wonder if they still remember their promises when they're still a child." I heard my Mom said to Tita that it caught my attention.
"You guys know about those promises?" I asked and Mom and Tita nodded.
"Both of you used to cry when you didn't see each other. I didn't really know how Adriel stopped crying when you and your Mom flew and decided to live here." Tito said that made me look at Kyst amused. I also remembered his letter. He still didn't let me read the letter.
"You cried? You should tell me a story later." I said to Kyst amusedly. "Your letter too. You changed the letter we found on Tagaytay and said that you have the original."
"Later." He said to me and looked at the others. "We'll eat outside for dinner later." He informed them and all of them looked at us.
"We're going too!" Sabi ni Heira kaya napatingin ako kay Kyst na masama na ang tingin kay Heira kaya natawa ako.
"Who agreed that you two will go by yourselves?" Kuya Klyr asked, which made the others laugh but I glared at him.
"We don't need permission, we're just saying because you guys might find us later." I said to Kuya Klyr. We're old enough to decide on our own.
"No one's going out tonight." Ashton said with finality that made me groan in frustration. "What? You two will go against me?"
"Mom, look Kuya Klyr and Ashton are deciding for me again. Can you tell them to mind their own business?" I asked my mother but she just laughed at me. "Tita Ana, can you tell Ashton to mind his own business?" I asked Tita Ana but just like my mother she just laughed at me.
"How about me? Can I have a dinner with Adriel?" Biglang tanong ni Collene kaya napatingin ako sa kaniya. The other laughed while saying yes.
"No, you can't and he'll not go with you even if you can." I said with confidence. I looked at Kyst who's looking at me, amused. "What? Don't tell me that you're going with her?"
"Ha? No. But if you say that I can go with her then sure." He said that it made me glare at him. He laughed at my reaction. "Just kidding. Why would I go with her when I have plans with you?"
"Good." I said to him while nodding. I rest my back on the chair. I can hear them saying things.
"The first time I saw her I already knew that my brother will be under in the future." Natatawang sabi ni Heira.
"What's the score?" River asked. "Kayo na? If not, why are you so under, Adriel?"
I just laughed at them while they're talking how under Kyst is.
