AXEL
I groaned slightly, my body hurting so badly. I could feel my bones cracking and I couldn't help but howl in pain. It was my transformation period, which for an average wolf, is too late. Also for an average Lycan, it is a year or two too late. I was twenty and I am yet to completely change into a Lycan wolf and someone who sees me for the first time and doesn't know anything about wolves or Lycans will take me as a monster.
I was born special which made my transformation slower than others. Also, being from the Alpha's Lineage had added to it. Every full moon, I go through a painful transformation and I have never looked forward to another full moon.
I whined a bit when the pain subsided. The room was quiet and dark but I could see through my Lycan eyes. Jason had gone to the packhouse to get a blanket. I noticed a rabbit had entered the room. At first, I ignored it but the hunting instinct in me made me dash towards it. I caught it and deep my claws into it, pulling it apart into two equal parts and the blood splashed across the room.
I heard the door open slowly and I turned. The sound stopped. I waited for Jason to come into the room but he did not.
Maybe it's the wind, I thought.
I soon began to hear some voices. I recognize one of the female voices to belong to one of the girls we brought from the Ice pack. My bones suddenly cracked and I howled. It stopped as quickly as it started. I heard her ask Jason if it was the Alpha.
I walked towards the door and opened it up, walking outside. I had forgotten that I wasn't in my human form until I heard one of them scream. And before I knew it, they dashed into the woods.
Jason ran after them but when I howled, he rushed back. My head began to ache so badly as I shifted back to my human form. I fell to the ground in pain and he ran to me. He covered me up with a blanket and wiped the blood off my mouth.
"My-my head hurts" I whined slightly. "I-i am thirsty"
He helped me sit beside a tree. "I will get you a cup of water," he said and turned to leave.
"The girls" I muttered. "Go after them"
"I will send the guards to look for them. Wait here, I will get you a glass of water" he said and I nodded.

Jason walked into my room and walked up to me. With the look on his face, I could tell he is not here with good news.
"You haven't found them yet?" I asked and he nodded.
"I am sorry"
I groaned. "You're sorry? You should have sent the guards after them as you said"
"I wanted to but you began to run temperature and I could not leave you alone"
I sighed. If I had not begun to run temperature, Jason would not have left the girls on attended to.
"So, what do you plan to do?"
"Well, I do not think they have gone far in the wood. I already sent out men to find them" he answered.
I groaned. "You do not think they had gone far? You should go and look for them, yourself, Jason!" I yelled and he blinked. I had not spoken that loud in a while. "Find them before dawn, Jason," I said calmly this time.
The door opened and my mom rushed in. "Did Axel just shout?" she asked in excitement. "Did he?"
I stared at her, unable to share in her joy. To her, it is a thing of joy that she could hear my voice this loud but to me, it is a sign of great distress.
"You have to find them" I whispered not sure if Jason heard.
I actually, did not care if he heard me or not. I already made it clear that he has to find them before dawn. My mom kept ranting about how happy she is to hear my voice, but she never asked why I had to yell at Jason, that way. That got me so angry and I had to lay on my bed, eyes closed. I soon got tired of hearing her and I had to gesture to Jason to make her leave.
"Luna, you have to leave now. Axel will like to take a nap" Jason told her.
"He should take a nap. He needs it" she said and there was silence for a while. I thought she left already until she spoke up. "By the way, why did he yell that way?"
I groaned slightly.
Did she just think right to ask that now?
"I will tell you why he did that, but that will be on our way out please," Jason said.
I opened my eyes slightly and saw them leaving. I breathed a sigh of relief and closed my eyes to sleep but had to open it up. I couldn't stop thinking about the two girls that had run away, after seeing me in my Lycan form. I could tell they were terrified and that must have been the reason they ran away.
"Seeing you covered up with blood, can make them run away," my subconscious mind said and I nodded in agreement.
That must have been the reason they ran away. But I wondered where they could be and if they have any plans to return.
"Axel?" Jason called and I opened my eyes.
"What do you want? Did you find them? Did you tell my mom about the girls?" I asked so many questions.
"No, I did not tell your mom about them. And we haven't found them yet. I just want to apologize for not keeping an eye on them. I never knew they knew about the secret house. I did warn them not to come close to the..."
I sat up. "I am not concerned about them knowing about the secret house. You should have been more careful about them not seeing me in my Lycan form. Do you know how terrified they will be now? They must think of me as a monster now. They are yet to get over how I talk to people through you and must think I am a psychopath"
