49: Sweet Right?
Third Person's POV
(After Blue died...)
"See you later baby. Don't go out okay? I love you, I have to go" Naiah's mother bids her goodbye to her daughter. It's not Nadia, but Nathalie. Little Naiah just watched her mother walk her way out.
Not so long after her mother left the house, she's still there standing as if she's waiting for someone. She lifted an eyebrow when no one appeared.
"She's not yet here? Why so?" she thought. Even though she wanted to go in as the weather was so cold, she can't. Someone promised. And she has yet to test that someone will keep the said promise.
She lifted her arm where her wristwatch wrapped into her wrist. She waited for about four minutes already. "Just one minute," she thought as she desperately looked at the gate, wishing that the person she's waiting for, appears before one minute ends.
"It was as if the sound of the clock's hands ticking as it hits every one second resonates in her mind. It was getting her more desperate as time goes by.
She bit her lower lip when the time struck at 11, meaning she has still five more seconds. She started to count in her mind.
5...
4...
3... She closed her eyes shut as she took a deep breath thinking, she was once again, failed by someone.
2... She lowered her head and sniffed. She doesn't even know why. Besides, she was just a kid. A normal one.
"1--", "Hey!" as she whispered the last number, a voice, the voice she's been waiting for, overpass her voice. She shook her head and smiled at the girl that was standing beside the gate.
"Hey..." still seems to be a whisper, she only heaved a sigh. Not knowing what to do, she just watched the girl approaching her way with a lively smile. Lips curved, which seems to reach her eyes. You can tell from her aura, she's a jolly and energetic kind of kid. The opposite of her. Silent, cold, emotionless, and sometimes, grumpy.
"You've been fooled again," said the girl. Little Naiah furrowed her brows. It's once in a while that someone can make her do some expressions.
'Yes! She furrowed her brows!' the girl thought and giggled in her mind. It's weird to think that her happiness was just to make little Naiah move some muscles.
"What do you mean by that?" she asked. As cold as her eyes, that was how her voice feels like.
"I let you wait for some minutes and I know how your brain works!" the girl smiled cheekily and looked at her from head to toe. Little Naiah still doubting her reasons. That's pure nonsense! Little Naiah thought to herself.
"And I am right!" the girl added as she points her forefinger at little Naiah's fist.
"Judging by how you balled your fist, slightly clenched jaw," she pointed her jaw. Little Naiah furrows her brows more because of it.
"And a bit teary-eyed," little Naiah blinked, she wasn't aware of that. She cursed in her mind.
"I know, you felt a bit disappointed and... Hurt" suddenly, the girl pouted and stretched her hands in front, attempting to hug little Naiah, but then before she can do what she planned to do, little Naiah step aside that causing the girl to frown.
"Just let me hug you!" the girl exclaimed and pouted more. Little Naiah just grimaced. A shiver runs down her veins. She shuddered to think someone can hug her that easily.
"Keep a distance" she coldly said. The girl seemed not affected by how cold little Naiah's treatment towards her. Instead of being mad at her, she smiled.
"I didn't break my promise! That's amazing, right?" she asked, swaying her body while her both hands were at the back, clasping together, wishing little Naiah can compliment her by fulfilling her promise. That's all was she wanted to. To be complimented by her first-ever friend.
"That's normal. A promise is a promise. You need to fulfill it not to break it, understand?" little Naiah almost raises her voice at her. The girl was near to crying but little Naiah just looked at her without any emotion. Her eyes were much colder than her treatment, the girl thought.
As soon as little Naiah turns her back on her, her tears freely run down into her cheeks down to her neck. She clutched her chest where she can feel so much pain. "No one wanted me as a friend. I am just a trying hard annoying kid" she thought.
"Don't you want me as a friend?" she asked, her voice nearly breaking, a good thing she managed to control it. Little Naiah didn't face her, she just tilted her head sideways as she answered the girl.
"I don't need one" still in a cold voice, she continued walking her way inside their house.
The girl balled her fist and stared coldly at the ground. "No matter how I tried to be more understanding, they will just think, I am an annoying kid. No one can really understand how I feel. No matter how I tried to make myself at their preference, nothing can match their standards. How cruel can they be?" She whispered to herself.
"Naiah, your name sounds good. Too good that I want to ruin it" she coldly said as she glared at the back of the girl called, Naiah.

Red stops the video and clenches her hands. She can't believe she's doing this. Pretending she's Blue, she can't even fathom the idea of it. But she needs to do it.

(Present time...)
Red's POV
I smiled bitterly as I remembered my bitter past. I did pretend that I am Blue, after all, we're twins. Yes, we are. We're looking alike, from head to toe. You can differentiate us through with how we deal with people and the most obvious one, we wear clothes in different ways.
I looked at the girl in the bed. I balled my fist and clenched my jaw. I lifted an eyebrow as I stared at her face.
Pale face, pale lips, and pale skin. A pale complexion. Can I consider her... Dying? I smirked as I thought of that idea. Sounds good. But then dying means, leaving her sins behind.
My eyes flickered in anger. I hardly hold myself not to strangle her to death, good thing, Z is here.
"There's a time," she said. I closed my eyes shut and took a deep breath.
"When is that time?" I asked, gritting my teeth in so much anger. No, I'm furious to think all of their sins.
"Calm down. What happened? Why are you so worked up?" Z asked, I massaged my temple and just shook my head.
"I think, I need some air," I said, almost a whisper. She heaved a sigh and pats my shoulder.
"Okay, go ahead. I think you really need one" she said. I nodded and force my feet to walk out in this shitty room. I clicked my tongue and turn the doorknob and went out.
Cold breeze gazed at my raging body. I sighed, somehow it helps me to calm my nerves down. It was such a hard day for me. I puffed air and take a walk around the place.
As I looked around all I can say was, the place has experienced the worst. Being abandoned sucks. Knowing you did your best to please others, they just going to waste it.
I scoffed. "Is that how I feel right now?" I asked myself. Wishing I can answer myself with the one I needed the most. I bit my lower lip as I clutched my chest. I feel it again. The pain, the excruciating pain of the past which is still haunting me. I gasped for air as if everything came back, I can't seem to breathe.
I gripped my shirt tightly as I fall on my knees. I supported my body using my free hand. My chest heaving fast as I can't seem to calm down. Tears breaming on my face, I can't see properly as my sight is blurry because of the tears.
I tried to do the breathing exercise but it seems like, the pain is much stronger. I tried to get up and I did, but then my legs are shaking. I was about to fall again when a hand prevented me from.
"W-what--" I stopped talking when I felt a hot but soft thing over my lips. My eyes widen at how near his face is. Worst, his lips are locked with mine.
"W-what--" I stuttered a bit when he let go. But then he put his forefinger on my lips to stop me from talking...
"Now, it seems like you're already calmed down, huh? How was it?" he asks me as his brows furrowed and have a teasing smile on his lips.
I blink several times and cough when I heard his last question. What the actual hell?!!
