47: Death Can't

Third Person's POV
[Fifteen Years Ago...]
"Where are you going this time, Blue? This early?" sarcasm can be heard in Red's voice. Blue fix her white hoodie and turns her back to face Red at the top of the stairs.
"Oh, you're early" Blue muttered and nervously smiled at her. Red raises her right brow and crosses her arms under her chest.
"Avoiding my question, really" smiling, Blue thought, 'she must have a bad morning, and I'm doomed. With that thought, Blue sighs and walks into their living room just beside the stairs. She takes a seat on the couch and leans her back on it.
"Are you planning to go there, again?" Blue stops herself from yawning and looks at her sister walking down the stairs.
"I am, and I tell you, I can help myself okay? No need to worry" Blue said and raise both of her arms as if surrendering to the cops.
"I know that brat. She has her tongue sharpened and it'll bever be softened or at least, cut off the tip" Red exclaims and went inside the kitchen. Realizing something, Blue stands up from her seat and runs to the kitchen. Before she can get to say something, Red is now glaring at her.
"You planned to go there without having me a breakfast?" her sister asks in a cold tone. Blue cleared her throat and smiled.
"Red... I forgot I'm sorry" scratching the back of her neck, she sighs when Red turns her back and opens the fridge. She is about to take a seat when Red calls her name.
"What is it?" she asks, Red looks at her and gestures her to come closer. She scrunches her nose and went beside Red.
"Go wash it and after, chop it into pieces. Got it?" Red asks, raising a brow. Blue only nodded and when in front of the sink while Red prepares the table.
After a while, they are now facing each other at the table with food on it. "Eat first before you go", upon hearing those words from Red, Blue's smile widens and takes their breakfast in a good mood. Red just shook her head after seeing how happy Blue is.
"~La la la la la~" Blue sing sang while walking her way into Naiah's house, her Aunt Nadia's house rather.
"I wonder why Red and Naiah can't ve in peace?" she asks herself. She shrugged off the idea and just walks her way.
"Na---" she stops herself from saying Naiah's name, shouting rather when she saw someone at her age knocks the gate. Blue furrows her brow when the little girl who's knocking on the gate is familiar to her. She only knows someone and that is...
"Quenda? What are you doing here?" Blue glances at the gate when it opens and Naiah appears in the sight.
'I'm right, she's the kid who approached us', Blue thought and make herself hidden from the two girls in front of the gate.
"Visiting you, of course," Quenda says with a little bit of playfulness in her voice.
"Why would you do that?" Naiah asks using her cold voice and a blank stare. But it seems like Quenda is used to it. She doesn't even waver from it. Instead, she seems to enjoy pissing Naiah off.
"Can you at least be a little bit hospitable? Really Naiah?" Quenda asks, Naiah just rolled her eyes and step aside.
"That's what you should do when someone's visiting you. Geez! You're such a cold brat girl" Quenda playfully commented as she walks her way inside the house. She's too playful you can't even differentiate what is her true colors. A total mysterious girl, Blue thought.
Blue went out from hiding behind a tree and stared at the house. "I can't be careless as always. I need to see and know why would that Quenda ve here and what's her purpose. I don't believe her excuse the last time we meet, and what's more that I saw her meeting up with Naiah. They have something on their sleeves" Blue mumbled to herself and look around the area.
She stared at the tree which helps her hide from earlier. The tree is just a meter away from the wall. Through this, she can silently watch and observe the area.
"I can do this," she said trying to convince herself. Once decided, she climbs up the tree and hardly makes it to the wall. She follows the bricks of the wall until she is in front of the backdoor which she thinks is the kitchen. She, again look around for something she can use so she can be on the ground.
Her eyes widen in excitement when she saw a ladder placed at the wall near her. She went there and use it to go down that easy.
"Now, time to know their secrets" she muttered and smiled, anticipating her thoughts are correct.
She tip-toed straight at the backdoor. She knows that there are no maids nor another person here except the two. So, the best situation for her mission-thingy right now. She silently opens the door and successfully, no one notices her intruding.
"Naiah, can you please listen to me?!" she's startled and nearly slip on the floor when she heard Quenda. They are in the living room.
"Why do I need to? Huh? Tell me, why do I need to listen to your pathetic explanations?!" Naiah shouted as well. Blue crease her forehead and settled herself behind the door which separates the kitchen and the living room.
"Because I say so," Quenda says and heave a deep breath. Blue held her breath when she heard footsteps coming near her location. She closes her eyes shut and tried her best not to cause noise.
"That's nonsense, Quenda. How could she be cruel? She's her sister!" Blue furrowed her brows. 'Her? Sister?' she thought and keep her silent.
"I don't know okay?! I am helping you out despite the consequences. You know that right?" Quenda asks, still, Blue couldn't understand what are they talking about.
"How's my mother?" Naiah asks causes Blue to gasp in shock. She bites her tongue and shuts her eyes close. It's a good thing they never notice her presence. 'Aunt Nadia is alive?! What the actual hell?!' she thought.
"My mother won't let me in and see your mother, I'm sorry" Quenda apologizes. She heard Naiah heaving a deep breath.
"Do you know, that Nathalie is my biological mother?" Naiah asks Quenda. Blue isn't that shocked anymore as though, she already watches the footage, along with her sister.
"The hell?! I didn't know that" suddenly, the place went silent. Blue raises her brows and analyzes the situation. 'She already knows, she thought. She waited for them to talk.
"You need to save my mother, go. Update me once you have progressed" Naiah said.
"Okay okay, I gotta go. See ya!" Blue waited for a minute before showing herself out. She doesn't need to wait for Naiah to talk.
"Hi!" smiling brightly, Blue greets Naiah. Naiah raises a brow and as usual, stared at her coldly. Her eyes are dark and blank.
"What were you doing?" Naiah asks Blue but the latter just smiled.
"Hiding?" Blue asks playfully. 'She's becoming more and more unpredictable like her sister', Naiah thought and stared at Blue who has this innocent but pretentious smile.
"You heard us, did Red tell you to do so?" Blue chuckled at what she heard.
"Are you talking about Red? Nah, she only knows I will only visit you cause why not? You're a friend, right?" Naiah could hear the sarcastic tone Blue has when she said that.
"Stop talking nonsense, Blue. You're not even here to visit me every time you come here. What is your sole reason, huh?" Naiah furrowed her brows when Blue just laugh at her.
"Hmm, let me think of one" Blue said and put her right hand under her chin.
"Ah! To investigate? I really don't remember" Blue said and stared at Naiah in front of her. She smirks when Naiah is already glaring at her.
"Get out of here while I'm being nice to you" Naiah warned her but she only put a smile on her lips.
"Nice, are you kidding me?" Blue is still up into her games. Naiah held herself and just points to the door and say,
"Leave, get out of here" her tone is unusually cold and dark. Raising a brow, Blue nods her head.
"I'll leave but bear this in mind, Naiah..." Blue trailed off as she leaned closer to Naiah.
"I will get the justice of my mom's death. Just wait..." smiling, Blue turns her back and went out of the house leaving Naiah inside, drowning in confusion.
Once out, Blue places her hand against the wall when her knees weaken. Her heart is pounding too fast. She breaths in and out. She did that for minutes until she calmed down. She let herself fall and stared at the lonely path in front of her.
Leaning her back in the wall, she hugs her knees and smiled sadly. "I miss you, mom. I promise you, I will surely get the justice of your death. No matter what the consequences and sacrifices, I will get it" she uttered as tears run down her cheeks. Glaring at the innocent floor she said,
"Death can't stop me"
