Ren was going home today, so we're not going back together. I don't know why I feel so alone now.
"Don't miss me too much."
Ren said as I sighed in return. I don't know why I am even feeling like this—am I just lonely? Ugh.
"You haven't told me what happened between you and Celine. It's not fair that you only know my side of the story."
I stared at him as he gave me a cheeky smile.
"Well, aren't you curious?"
He smirked as I rolled my eyes, telling him to just spill everything.
"I think I might have a chance."
Ren said, and I can't help but feel excited. I mean, I'd say he did manage to steal her away. Celine would definitely break up with Koby, right? Now that's good to hear.
"Did something happen between you two?"
I wiggled my eyebrows as he continued grinning like an idiot; this is making me even more curious. He seems so happy that I can't believe my eyes. He's smiling so much that it's blinding.
"Something like that."
Ren winked, and I couldn't help but roll my eyes. Well, at least one of us is happy. I just wish that this day would end already.

When I got back to my room, I was surprised to find Ethan leaning on my door as he kept frowning on his phone. What the heck? Why is he here right now?
"Finally. I've been waiting since forever."
He sighs as I continue to stare at him in confusion.
"Why are you here?"
I asked, as he just gave me a cheeky grin, telling me to hurry up and open the door to my room. I never really had a proper conversation with him, but I don't know. What if he's exactly like Emma? Is he trying to bully me or something? I can't help but think about the worst that could happen.
"I don't want to go home."
Ethan sighs as he lies on the floor as soon as I open the door, Huh. I wonder what makes him say all that. I wish I could say that, but ugh, I seriously have no idea why he is even here.
"Have you ever wished that you could just disappear?"
When Ethan said that, I couldn't help but feel surprised. Why is he suddenly asking all that? This is weird. But what's even weirder is when he has a blank expression on his face as he continues to stare at the ceiling.
"Yeah, most times."
I replied as he turned to face me.
"Huh, I should've expected that."
He's rude and annoying.
"Why are you here?"
I asked again as I took a seat in front of him. Did something happen for him to not want to go home?
"I envied you."
Ethan said as he let out a heavy sigh. Huh? Just what part of me and my life did he envy so badly?
"Just try living my life, and I dare you to say that again."
I rolled my eyes as he just laughed in return.
"Nah, I'm not as strong-willed as you to be living in this—box."
Ethan sighs again as I stay silent. I don't have any comebacks for that. It sounded like a compliment but also offensive.
"Are you eating well?"
When he asked me that, I don't know why I suddenly felt emotional. The way he speaks reminds me so much of my mom.
"I guess for now."
I replied as I continued to observe his odd behavior.
"Did HE give you an allowance?"
He asked again, this time looking at me straight in the eye. I honestly don't understand what is going on right now; it's weird. I wonder why he is asking all this.
"Not that I know of."
I shrugged, since my father hasn't really given me anything after he sent me to this room. I was even told to pay my own rent, for goodness' sake.
"Take this."
Ethan gave me an envelope. What the heck? I was surprised by the amount of money inside. I wonder where he even got it. What's even more confusing is: why is he giving this to me?
"In return, let me crash here once in a while."
He added as I continued to stare at him in confusion. What the heck is happening? I did ask him about the money and why he was giving it to me, but he just said that it was for charity. The heck? And for some reason, he's been talking nonstop about himself. Not that I care, but why is this even happening right now?
"Koby and I are friends, you know?"
Ethan smirks, as if it were the best thing that ever happened to him.
"I'm also in class 5; didn't you hear me calling for your name earlier?"
Ethan shook his head in disbelief as I continued to feel even more confused. Huh? When did that even happen? And I don't remember seeing him at all in the science lab.
"Let me know if Emma messed with you."
He added before I could even reply to any of his statements. Why is he doing this? Too bad she already did.
"You're still my sister, so don't die, okay?"
I almost choked on my own saliva when he said that.

What is happening right now? He seems weird today. He was mean to me before, so I wonder why he is acting so differently now.
