Chapter 12 CALL YOUR PARENTS!

Wow! She was the mother of those beautiful girls! How shocking. He smiled.
"I never thought we would meet like this." He said to her, sitting back in his chair to watch her.
"I'm surprised myself." She told him.
"The others might clearly not acknowledge you because you know how improper this might be without an interview and all that but I need to know what company you have worked in the time past, how you represented the company, who you have worked with...I want to know everything." He said.
"You must have clearly forgotten then." She chuckled. She knew she must have told him and those who interviewed her in the time past where she had previously worked in.
"I don't understand." He told her.
"I knew this was bound to come." She sighed as she shut her briefly, clasped her hands before her before opening her eyes.
"Please, go ahead." He insisted she continued her story.
"So, when should I start?" She asked him, ignoring the fact that she had to tell a tale.
Mr. James looked puzzled by her question. "Today of course. We will set up a meeting for a brief introduction of you." He paused.
"You still haven't said anything about where you have worked in the time past." He said.
"Alright. But please, it is confidential. It is only going to be for your ears only." She told him in a pleading voice.
"Why is that?" He was stunned by her question.
Mrs Taylor swallowed then started. "I was the wife of the late Karl Taylor. He was my husband, we once owned Talik's company once upon a time."
Mr. James shifted uncomfortably in his chair when he heard that. This was Patricia Taylor! The woman he had come across in his old file some nights ago.
"When he died, his in-laws took everything and everything died after that." She continued.
Didn't they share similar stories? Mr. James thought for a split second. James couldn't say a thing then he stood up.
"I'm so sorry to resurrect old, painful memories, Mrs Taylor. I think we share a bond." He said.
"What bond?" She look up at him inquisitively.
"You shall get to know." He told her.
********
Melina got into a fight with Jessica because of a slight mistake. They were both at each other's necks. Melina was then reminded of what Jessica and the others had done to her twin sister. She hated Jessica more and more. Melina was going to her seat when she accidentally stepped on Jessica's foot. In seething anger, Jessica pushed Melina roughly.
"Can't you see? Are you blind?" Jessica asked, pissed.
"I'm not blind! Is it sorry you want to hear that you push me this way? Come get it from my mouth!" Melina said angrily.
"What?" Jessica was pissed to hear that.
"You don't deserve it!" Melina went on.
Unfortunately, Melissa was not in class to stop the fight. No one separated them not even the rest of their classmates. Until, Melina beat Jessica black and blue.
They were both punished and were both asked to call their parents to see their class teacher.
"You shouldn't have fought with her." Melissa whined after school hours.
"I wanted to see her cry and she did have a good cry." Melina gave a cunning smile.
"What is with the smile? It is not funny. Now, you are asked to call mum."
Melina stared down at her finger nails, studying them while she ignored her sister.
"Mum is not going to come and you will certainly be sent home." Melissa ranted on.
"I will beg mum." Melina shrugged, looking away.
"She won't listen to you and you know that. Remember the last time we fought in class and our teacher asked to see mum. We were sent home for several days until mum came with us." Melissa explained.
"You are making me feel miserable. Is it my fault then? She caused it! What should I do now?" Melina asked.
"I don't know." Melissa answered then she began to take pity on her twin sister.
"Then, let us tell mum. I hope she understands." Melissa said.
"Don't!" Melina grabbed her sister's hand.
"Why?" Melissa's brows shot upwards.
"You already know why. Why........not....let us tell Mr Manager." Melina suggested, looking at her sister.
Melissa stopped to stare at her sister in surprise. "Mr. Manager?" She asked.
Melissa nodded.
"The same Mr Manager that you hate?" She asked.
"Yes of course. I have no choice. He is the best option right now." Melina said.
"Nah, forget it. Let us just tell mum." Melissa waved it off.
Melina gripped her sister's hand. "Let us go to him, please." Melina begged.
Melissa watched her sister in pity. For Melina to suggest that this meant she was ready to go all in.
