26. Can't Leave The House Anymore

"So, young master. Miss Raceh only has mild anemia and doesn't need hospitalization. I'll rewrite the additional prescription for her vitamins," Doctor Clara stated. Raceh looked towards Dr. Clara, trying to recall her words to convey them to her husband.
"Young Miss also doesn't need to leave for up to two weeks. Miss Raceh can resume regular activities," the doctor added.
Raceh sighed in relief at Dr. Clara's explanation, silently hoping Mas Zefki would listen to the doctor's advice.
Zefki paused momentarily, then called Assistant Sutan to pick up the prescribed medication from the pharmacy.
After Dr. Clara left, Zefki chose to stay in his office for an important meeting discussing the budget for a condominium development in the Tangerang area.
Meanwhile, Raceh opted to stroll around the spacious yard. She observed a gardener arranging flowers to be replanted.
From a distance, Bik Yati hurriedly approached Raceh, saying, "Miss, why are you outside? Miss Raceh, you're still unwell. Mr. Young Master might get upset. Come on, let's go inside," she said, slightly out of breath.
Bik Yati's concern wasn't unfounded. Zefki had been diligently checking the CCTV footage lately and was surprised to see Raceh walking alone outside the house, even if it was just around the premises.
Zefki promptly called Yati, who was busy in the kitchen, instructing her to ensure his wife returned indoors.
In the kitchen, there are two new domestic helpers that Zefki intentionally brought to work as cooks in his home. The two cooks are responsible for preparing meals for his wife.
With some reluctance, Raceh reenters the house, following Bik Yati's steps. Although Raceh wants to stroll around the house, she goes back inside, fearing her husband's anger.
Lunchtime arrives, and Raceh waits for her husband to eat together. However, Zefki doesn't show up. Encouraging herself, she walks to her husband's office and starts knocking on the door.
"Mas ... Mas Zef. It's already noon. Let's have lunch," she calls.
Zefki opens his office door, sees his wife at the threshold, and swiftly leaves without saying a word. Raceh follows him to the dining room.
Zefki is already seated, and there are numerous dishes on the table. Race begins serving her husband, filling his plate with various dishes and pouring water into his glass before doing the same for herself.
They eat in silence. Raceh appears uncomfortable under Zefki's constant gaze, affecting her appetite.
After finishing the meal, Zefki leaves the dining table and returns to his office for the postponed meeting. Raceh chooses to enter her room and spends time watching her favorite Korean drama after taking her medicine.
Night falls, and they have a quiet dinner together. After finishing, Zefki intends to leave the dining room, but Raceh addresses him.
"Mas, I want to talk," Zefki stops and turns towards Raceh.
Raceh hesitates to speak, knowing it could lead to an argument, especially with the new helpers and Bik Yati in the dining room.
"Let's talk in the bedroom, Mas," she suggests.
They enter the room. Zefki sits on the sofa, followed by Raceh. Facing each other, Raceh begins to express her concerns about Zefki's silent demeanor.
"Already, what did you say?" Zefki uttered sharply.
"So, haven't you realized your mistake yet? I told you not to leave the room! But you denied it, and look at your clothes! Ugh! When Dr. Clara came this afternoon, were you trying to show off your thighs? Huh?"
Raceh was shocked by Zefki's words.
"Dear, what's wrong with my clothes? I dress modestly, and I've worn those clothes before we got married. Mom and Dad never objected to me wearing such clothes. As for leaving the room, I'm bored just staying in there. Besides, Dr. Clara said I can carry on with my daily activities, and earlier, I just walked around the house."
However, Zefki became even angrier.
"Hey, do you realize who I am? I'm your husband! It's only right for me to manage your life! Starting tomorrow, I don't want to see you wearing mini skirts again! Remember that!" he scolded.
Raceh became increasingly afraid of Zefki's attitude. She felt like crying, but she held back. She thought she could communicate well with her husband, but evidently, it wasn't working.
"Everything is wrong in his eyes. What should I do?" she whispered to herself.
Unable to control his emotions, Zefki stormed back into his workspace, slamming the door forcefully.
Raceh shed tears again that night. Outside, heavy rain seemed to accompany her continuous weeping.
Suddenly, thunder roared, making Raceh cry even more, almost wanting to scream.
Raceh had feared thunder since childhood, causing her to curl up on the sofa. Even moving to the bed was difficult for her.
Meanwhile, Zefki, focused on his laptop, seemed to forget about his wife in the room.
As Zefki started to feel drowsy, he checked the bedroom CCTV on his laptop and saw his wife curled up on the sofa.
This sight made him quickly leave his workspace and enter the room.
Arriving in the room, Zefki approached the sleeping Raceh, lifted her, and placed her on the bed.
As Zefki was about to leave the bed, Raceh's hand stopped him.
"Don't go ... I'm scared!" Raceh's cries erupted simultaneously with another thunderous clap.
Zefki tried to release Raceh's grip on his arm, but he suddenly felt her fear.
"Please ... just a moment, dear. Stay with me. I'm scared of the thunder; it's too loud."
For some reason, that night, the thunder echoed like drums resounding in the sky.
Zefki lay down, observing his wife sleeping in fear until his eyes gradually closed, and he fell asleep, too.
