Moon Ryeong is still sitting quietly in the corner room, closing her eyes but not falling asleep. She is agitated. Especially after what happened last night, when she was on the verge of becoming a murderer. For her, everything in this new environment is strange. She is questioning whether she made the right decision to go this far. Yes, she is sick of living the quiet, dark life of a vampire. She was disgusted with the mansion's environment, which had been with her for a long time. She needs something new, her hidden adventure beckoning. But the prospect of encountering a human, which would reawaken her killing instincts, terrified her.
     It's almost 8 a.m. and the sun is rising higher. She is looking out onto the bright balcony. Moon Ryeong raises her head, revealing that her lip is almost blue and her face has turned pale due to a lack of blood. This warm air contrasts sharply with the mansion's cold, humid air. She stands up and moves closer to the balcony. Even though the sun does not directly touch her skin, she can sense how warm and comforting it is. Is he ever wishing for this warmth? How will he react when he realizes she is not present? The warmth of the sunrays drew her attention to a particular vampire. It bothers her.
    She shook her head, attempting to clear her mind of all sentiments of him. She closes her eyes and decides to expose her hand directly to the sunlight, which quickly burns her skin. She winced in pain, but she did not move or withdraw her hand. She wants to remember all the pain he has caused her and instill hatred in her heart. She needs to remind herself to let go of any reason to worry she has about him. She is said to harbor only hatred for him. As a result, she continues to expose her hand to the sun and allow it to burn. A knock on the door, however, interrupts her action.
    "Em... I made breakfast," Jae Rim takes a moment. He invites her to join him for breakfast and conversation. She is not responding. Jae Rim stands there patiently, not moving. She can definitely feel his presence in front of the door, so she decides to meet him. She slowly opens the door, revealing the man, who smiles sheepishly without looking her in the eyes. He greets her awkwardly and invites her to breakfast.
   On the table, he prepares a simple toast, egg friend, and milk. He explains that he can only eat a light breakfast in the morning, so he prepares this for her and himself. Moon Ryeong was only looking at the food, which was warm food for humans. She recalls an old memory of hers when someone prepared breakfast for her and it made her happy. She manages a small smile on the corner of her lips that no one notices.
    "Do I have to order a full breakfast instead? I apologize for not thinking of it." Jae Rim believes she dislikes the breakfast because she does not respond. She was just standing there staring at the table. Jae Rim notices how pale she is now, which is in stark contrast to the last time he saw her. He wants to ask her, but she sits on the chair and begins eating quietly. Jae Rim is perplexed, unsure what to do before taking a seat and enjoying breakfast with her.
   "Listen, I have no intention of driving you out of here. However, I have to return to Korea tomorrow "He informs her carefully because he does not want to offend her. He goes on to say that he will take responsibility for the accident, so she doesn't have to worry. He hands her his business card and tells her she can contact him at any time. He placed the business card near her hand on the table because she was only staring. That is when he notices her burned hand.
  "Are you injured?" He is terrified, clutching her hand in his. His unexpected action has taken her by surprise. He eximined her burnt skin before administering medicine and bandaging her scars.
   "You also appear pale; do you feel hurt anywhere?" Jae Rim looked her in the eyes with great concern. His tender gaze and gesture remind her of some people from her past, especially her female attendant, who has always served her with all her heart. Her personal knight, who demonstrates a strong desire to protect her. And her king, who welcomed her into his embrace despite knowing she was a spy for his adversary. She misses them all. She misses the human warmth. She felt a warm liquid fall on her cheeks by accident. Her tears are to blame.
   Moon Ryeong longs for physical interactions and concern like this again. She believes that, while there are people who are evil, there are also people who are truly kind and sincere. She had met a good-hearted human in her previous life, and she now meets one. She feels bad for Jae Rim, who is now treating her well. She almost killed him last night and sucked his blood to death. But look at him now; he has no idea who she is or what she attempted to do to him. He was just being nice and showing a lot of concern for the woman, and he had no idea she could take his life at any time. Her sobbing became even more agonizing.
    Jae Rim is bothered by her tears and wonders aloud if the scar is really that bad. So she tells him she's fine. He confirmed her again, and she nodded, but he still doesn't believe her. If it's not her scar that's bothering her, what's causing her to cry so heartbrokenly? It deeply concerns him.
     Jae Rim then receives a phone call from his secretary. His meeting will begin in 10 minutes. He apologizes to Moon Ryeong for not being able to accompany her, but his company requires him. He has to leave soon and will return at night, so he gives her his credit card in case she needs to purchase something for herself. He also requests her phone number so that he can contact her, but she does not own a phone. Without thinking, he hands her his phone and repeatedly tells her to contact him if anything happens before leaving. Moon Ryeong touches the phone screen and sees his picture with a little girl as wallpaper, with her sole focus on it. She is unsure what to do with the object.
At the Mansion
     Helios is remorseful for his actions against Moon Ryeong, but he is at a loss for words. He spent the entire time pacing around his empty room. He is too arrogant to admit he is wrong, but remembering her tears breaks his heart. Finally, he decides to confront her. He dashes into her room at the speed of light. He almost opened her door directly, as he always did. But now he decides to knock slowly in order to respect her space. There were no responses. He senses something is wrong because he doesn't detect any glints of her scent. Soon after, he flung open the door, revealing an empty room.
    It is a bright day. She will not be going to the forest at this time. He decides to look for her in every room of the mansion, but he still can't find her anywhere, and he begins to panic.
   "Moon Ryeong-ah!" He yells her name, but all he gets is silence. All of this commotion scares Mr Smith, who has only just escaped from the basement. He keeps a close eye on Helios and notices that he is extremelly anxious right now.
   He decides to leave because he can't find Moon Ryeong anywhere in the mansion. He comes to a halt in front of the front door, staring out at the bright sun. He is hesitating because if he goes, the sun will certainly burn him to death. But the thought of her being hurt somewhere in the world haunted him. What if she gets caught in the sunlight out there? What if she is in jeopardy? What if something went wrong with her? With these thoughts, he rushes forward, facing the sun. But before he even gets to the gate, his entire body is burned, weakening him and forcing him to kneel on the ground.
   Mr Smith rushes forward to assist him, pulling his black umbrella from his bag. Make Helios a sun shield. He begs the vampire to return to the mansion. Helios looked at him for a moment before agreeing to his suggestion. He assists the vampire in standing up and walking inside. He assisted Helios in sitting on the old couch. Helios locked his gaze on Mr Smith.
   "You are a human," Helios declares clearly and unambiguously. Mr Smith nods, unsure of where this conversation is going.
    "So, why aren't you afraid of me? Why are you assisting me in the first place?" He inquires, perplexed.
   "I'm a scientist and a doctor. I've been researching various healing methods. That's when I read in a mythology book about a creature, a vampire like you, who can heal any injury instantly except the sunsa knife wound." Mr Smith had just witnessed Helios' burned skin heal on its own.
  "Impressive," he murmurs to himself, staring at Helios' "now soft pale" skin with disbelief but also fascination. Helios instructs Smith to continue explaining to him using his hand gesture.
  Smith explains that his ability is particularly useful for soldiers injured on the front lines or people suffering from severe diseases. Many people can benefit from it. So he decides to go in search of him and learn everything he can about him. Helios makes a loud, insulting laugh. He asks Smith if he believes that a vampire like him will gladly help other creatures, particularly humans, whom he despises. Smith is rendered speechless. Of course, a cruel monster like him has no desire to assist in the rescue of his prey. As a result, he seeks an alternative.
    "I can help you find a way to protect yourself from the sun so you can walk freely even during the day, like a human," his offers entice him.
    Yes, he truly desires to be free and safe from the sun. He is pleased with his gift. If he is truly successful, Moon Ryeong will no longer despise or blame him for taking away her freedom to walk in the sun. If it is successful, they will be able to become vampires who can walk during the day.
