Kaya’s POV
I reached for my towel, wrapping it around my body, and then dried my hair with the other towel, before towering it up and walking out of the room. After I changed into my pajamas, I ventured into Texting Ally for a while, before quitting and deciding it was high time to rest.
Sleep came easily tonight. I slept well. I think I vaguely remembered the sound of faint rattles across my windowpane but I believe it was just the wind, my mind foggy with sleep, yawning into my pillow, turning over.
The sun came up the next day and just like that it was Mr. Tuesday.
I brushed past the usual swarm of students to the lunch table sitting next to Ally who was nose deep in a book, "Still reading about Lycans?” I chuckled placing my bag beside me, “You've never been the same after we went to legions house," I replied tacking a fry off her plate.
She looked up at me with a faint smile before it was quickly erased, her eyes narrowing to something behind me, a scowl on her face, “speaking of the devil and there he is,” she grunted, turning back to her book when Legion plopped into the seat right next to me, placing my bag on the table.
A smile found its way across my lips involuntarily as he stared at me as if still wondering if we were all good. Yes, we were, technically- but he still had a lot of catching up to do before anything could happen between us.
"What is he doing here?" Ally spat not even sparing him a look as she turned over a page. I chuckled at this, she was the queen of Petty it seemed.
"Chill Tink, He’s all good,” I eased watching glancing at Legion and grinning when I noticed him visibly relax after my words.
Ally's eyes snapped to me, eyes narrowing down on me, "since when?"
"Yesterday.” He replied for himself, nodding slightly, “ I promise I'm on good behavior,” he continued with an added smirk, raising an eyebrow, "so are we good?" He asked.
She looked at me suspiciously and I nodded in approval, confirming his words. She rolled her eyes trailing back to him, “I'll have to see it for myself first" she replied through her teeth.
It seemed that dry reply was good enough for him, or he just didn’t care because his smile never faltered, turning back to look at me and we stared at each other for a while before we started talking about random things.
Strangely, I enjoyed his company more than I thought. Beneath Legion's scary demeanor was a carefree boy whose train of thought was older than he looked and he was definitely smarter than what I had assumed.
He made me laugh more times during that lunch than I had the whole week, and I could tell Ally was holding in a few laughs of her own but managing to keep her walls up pretty high to my amusement.

After lunch Ally and I made our way back to our locker.  "I can't believe you forgave that soulless turd,” Ally muttered watching Legion walk away from us.
Something about an urgent call from Caleb and so according to him, he wouldn't be attending lessons today-shocker I know.
I didn't bother to ask how he could just leave without permission. I had long decided Legion was way too mysterious for me to solve.
I grinned, turning to my locker, opening it with a shrug, "We talked it out"
She rolled her eyes placing a hand on her waist, “Geez, I wonder what he said that got you to change your mind so fast" she mocked, a disgusted look on her face.
I knew she was mocking me but I let myself think about it for a second, “I guess it isn't something he said, it's how he said it" I explained thinking back.
I closed my locker turning back to Ally who was still getting her stuff, "huh really?" she asked, seemingly not that impressed.
I nodded as she locked her locker, giving her a look to which she sighed, holding her books up to her chest. “You’re sweet Kaya, for forgiving him so quickly. I honestly admire that about you. But be careful, please, you’ve been through as much as a teenage girl can handle for one term,” she grinned.
 I chuckled at his nodding.
"Alright Goldie, I’ll see you after school,” she waved as she headed to her next class.
I waited a minute watching her disappear into the crowd of students, my mind replaying all she had said with a soft sigh before I left for my own.
My phone buzzed in my left pocket and with much struggle, I managed to check the message while holding on to my books with my left hand.
Aunt Lily: I'll be home late tonight
I was about text back when I tripped and went crashing into someone. I felt my books slip from my arms and land splat on the floor, immediately hearing something shatter as I missed my footing.
I was falling and only one thing went through my mind.
I hope it isn't my iPhone!
I had a Deja Vu moment as well, the time when I almost died. When Mr. Jerk face almost run me over, those few seconds I thought I had died.
That's how I felt like now, seconds passed and I was waiting for both the pain and humiliation.
But it never came.
