"what?" Bryan and I yelled out in unzip.
It's either, Sofia is trying to get me killed or something else Is going on behind my back.
"Ma'am, I believe Bryan and I, have already gotten married, there isn't any need for a second marriage" ( my words to her)
My statement folded a frown on her face, "really? Do u not want to get married again and let me watch my grandson, walk down the aisle".
I know her words were emotionally blackmailing and even though I don't wanna get married to Bryan, the only option is to reinform the whole wedding into a fake one.
"Ma'am, fine, Bryan and I will get married, but tell me when?".
"Today?" She flossed a bomb once again.
"Excuse me, today?" I said and saw her jiggle her head.
"Godmother, but it's past eight, and it'd called late, so how about we do this wedding, tomorrow morning".
Bryan Luckily got her to change his mind, and by that, he needed time to reshuffle her wedding into a fake one.
"Thank you" I smiled and dropped on the bed.
"You're welcome and don't worry, it's not going to be a real wedding, going to be a fake one, so, by that, we know everything is still the way it is".
( Bryan placed a kiss on my cheeks and left me alone and before you say anything, no!!! We are just friends and nothing can ever change that, but now I wonder, when the truth finally gets to come out, how would Sofia react to it, most especially Chad. ( Weird feeling)
( Retired back to bed as it drifts to the following morning)
Before my alarm clocked 7:00 am, a knock gets up from bed, I walked over to the door and met a bearded guy and a lady at my room door.
"Excuse me? Who are you?", I asked that's when Sofia's words get into the picture.
"Good morning, bride to be?" She paved her way into my room and sat me down.
"Good morning ma'am, what's going on?"
She falls a frown heeding to my question, and said, "did you just forget I called you a bride to be and please don't say a word, because in less than an hour, Bryan and you, will be walking down the aisle, everyone is here, so please get ready". ( Wears a huge smile and left me paying, Bryan gets everything finalized)
Thereafter getting ready, Chad walks into the room with his little tux on, "oh wow, mom, you looking beautiful".
"Thank you, baby?" I said and read to the signal of the wedding song playing outside.
My feet swiftly ambled further to the wedding arena and met Bryan standing at the alter.
Everyone seated in the congregation donned a huge smile, including Mr. Ajay, who smiles like it was his daughter getting married.
( Moves a step closer to him)
"Looking beautiful dear" Bryan whispered his words out to me, I pinned a cute smile but needs to hear something else from him.
"Is everything ready?"? I asked and watched him tux his shoulders up and smiled his words, "yes, don't worry, we won't be getting married for real".
The priest says, "dearly beloved, we are gathered here in holy matrimony to join Yulan and Bryan, if you know you don't want this two to get married, please speak up or forever hold your peace".
( Silence takes palace and when not interrupted, he proceeds further with his words)
( The priest continues talking)
"With the power vested in me, I now pronounce you husband and wife, you may now kiss the bride".
( Our eyes linked together, while they gave the order)
Bryan and I stood like two lost couples, abruptly before I could alter a single word, he dragged me forward and placed a passionate kiss on my lips that left me speechless.
Everyone at the ceremony clapped for joy, while Bryan pulled me back after coming back to his senses.
We smiled our way down to the reception grounds and greeted all the guests that made it, Chad ran up close, dragged me down, and places a kiss on my lips.
"Congratulation mom," he says with a loving voice.
While I got a compliment from everyone there, Mr. Ajay steps in to give us his congratulatory words which seemed fake to me.
"Thank you Mr. Ajay" I smiled my way out and disappeared into the crowds.
The party went on smoothly, I watched as Bryan danced with his son, who wouldn't stop hooping like a kangaroo on the dance floor.
It was a funny scene to see, that's when a waiter passed, and blocked my view, "hello, please excuse me?* I said, trying to gain his attention, but rather someone else drifts the attention away.
"Godmother Sofia?"
In a shocking scene to see her lying unconscious on the floor, Bryan and I ran to her aid, while someone calls the doctor.
(An hour later)
We moved her into her room, and waited for the doctor's arrival, he steps in and ran a check on her.
"Doctor, is everything okay?". Bryan couldn't help but ask.
The doctor took his time and after a little suspense, hits his reply back, " sir!!! I am not truly sure, but all I can say is, a test needs to be done, just to be certain".
( Excused himself and strolled out of the room)
Bryan got an off feeling and before he left, asked me to stay back in the room, I did as instructed and seats next to her.
A few minutes later, Sofia regains consciousness, she drips her eyes aside and saw me seated next to her.
"Yulan?".
I moved my head to meet her staring at me, "aunt?". I said and the second I moved to call Bryan, she halted me to a stop.
"Hold on, Yulan and please before you call, I'll like to tell you something?".
I figured something off about her statement, and to inquire more, I sat down and gave ears to her words.
"Aunt is everything okay" ( my eyes drops a tear from my eyes)
She raised her hands and stop the tear from falling.
"Why are you crying!! I haven't told you the reason I wished to talk with you about, yet, you've started crying and when I told on, that I have Cancer of the blood and have only one month to stay, you might die of shock?"
(She smiles her words to me, oblivious to the fact that Bryan took heed of it, standing behind)
My eyes wandered and I met him frozen to a spot, aunt Sofia sews her eyes and met him there.
"Bryan?" She gets herself from bed and gets closer, "how much did you hear?". A frown drops on her face and she got a cold reply from him.
" So much to ask, why did you keep this from me, we are family right?".
"Yes we are, but!!!" Aunt Sofia tires speaking, rather, Bryan cuts her short, "then why didn't you tell me, you have been my family ever since my parents died and when Lola, died, you stood by me, and now, destiny wants to take you as well!!".
( Bryan drops to the ground and softly cried out)
