Serena's POV
"Come on," I told Jester and I pulled him as we enter inside the basement of our house.
We are here at our old house. We will get my paintings and we'll return right away at Cassopeia. I am planning to give that to my Mom. I should only be the one to come but Jester is pestering me if I won't tag him along.
"This doesn't look like a basement. It looks more of a Library." Jester commented as he is looking at the books that are properly arranged at the book shelf.
I laugh. "Okay. Library it is if that's what you think. But this is really a basement."
Mom is fond of reading books that's why. And because we only had two rooms, she stuck her books here. This is where I find the Book of Spells.
I quickly went to where my paintings is. And I took the painting I was going to give Mom. This is actually a portrait of her.
"Let's go. I already took what I needed." I said but Jester didn't replied.
I look at him and he's holding a book while reading it seriously. I went hear him as I look into the book his reading.
'Book of Magics' I read the title of the book his holding.
"You want to read that?" I ask. "We can get that if you want." I added.
He remove his eyes from what he is reading and look at me.
"No need. The title just caught my attention. Are we going already?" He ask and he returned the book in the book shelf.
I nodded. "Yep. I already took the painting I was telling you."
"Is that it? Can I see."
I gave it to him. He look at it and his face is serious while looking at it. That made me confused.
"Why? Is it bad?"
That's the first ever painting that I paint and I didn't know if it's okay.
He smiled at me. "Nope. It's beautiful actually. The blending of the colors were good."
I smiled at him when I suddenly remembered something.
"Wait.." I said and quickly dash to where my art materials is.
I took a sketch book and pencil before I went back at Jester.
"Why? Are you still going to do something?" He ask confused.
I took the painting from him and put it aside. I pulled him and let him stand. Then I took the chair close to me as I sit on it.
"Don't move okay? Just stand steadily there."
"Huh?" His brows are furrowed while looking at me.
"I will draw you, silly."
And he smiled when he heard what I said.
"Should I smile? Like this?" He ask and he smiled widely showing off his perfect teeth.
"Not like that. Be natural. Even if you will not smile but ofcourse you shouldn't look like you are mad." I said.
He fix his position and when I saw that everything is okay, I started painting him.
At first, he is so okay but after five minutes pass by, he started complaining.
"Is it already finished?" he ask for the nth time.
"Not yet. Stay still." I said then I laughed.
I act like I am still painting. Actually I already finished but I just wanted to let him suffer. I internally laugh.
He stood up for another minute before I told him it's finished. I showed to him the painting and he said it's beautiful and that he's going to hang it in his room.
Then we returned at Cassopeia after that. And we went into the river where we went back then when he is still unconscious.
"It's beautiful here right?" I said.
"Yes but you're more beautiful." He said smiling.
"Geez. You've been saying that since yesterday Jester. Tell me the truth, you like me do you?" I said then I laugh. "Just kidding." I added immediately.
But I was shocked by his answer since I am just kidding.
"Are you going to be angry if I will say I really like you?" He ask seriously.
"Huh?" I ask back.
I never thought he would actually confess his feelings towards me. I always thought I was hard to love but..
"I love you, Serena." He said softly but it was enough for me to hear it. "I love you not just because you are beautiful like what I always told you but I love you because that's you. All of your flaws and insecurities, I love you for being you. And thank you because I met you."
I didn't know but a tear escape from my eyes as I hug him.
It's very nice to meet a person who accepts you for who you are.
That thing that while you are loving him, you are loving yourself too because you aren't insecure of who you are.
And your flaws are perfect for the person that's meant to love you.
"We will take things slow. We'll get to know each other more. Make memories together and everything. But for now, I just wanted you to know that I love you." Jester said.
I look up at him as I smiled. "I am indeed lucky to have you. Thank you."
And after talking with Jester, I visited Mom.
"You busy Mom?" I ask before entering inside her room.
She close the book that she is reading when she heard me enter her room.
"Not really. I'm actually waiting for you."
"Me?" I ask as I point at myself. "Are you going to tell me something Mom or we have to go somewhere?"
She stood up and walk near me. "I am now going to introduce you to everyone." She said smiling while fixing my hair.
I was shocked. "Huh? Mom, you don't need to. I don't want everyone to treat me differently if they will know I am your daughter." I said as I pout at her.
That was one thing that I would surely hate. Back then, I like the idea of being different but now, no, no.
"Don't worry. The people would surely understand if you don't want formalities. Look at Scarlet. She calls me by my name." Mom said.
"Come on." She added and pulled me outside.
I was still amaze that Mom was able to rule Cassopeia alone. That explains why she is always busy and almost goes home at midnight. i thought she had a work though ruling a place is already a work but you know I am referring to works like a teacher or a doctor. Something like that.
We went to all villages that is in Cassopeia. And I was glad people calls me by my name. When we went to Rviola, the people there was so shocked. They really think I am Her Highness that day.
"We apologize Serena. You really look a like."
That's what the told me. They can't even believe when they saw me and Mom together.
I look around me. Aya, Calla and Jas is having fun with the kids. I smiled. I am glad I found friends. I was a total outcast at Trinity High but now I can say I have friends.
I think I now understand. We are not everyone's cup of tea. And we are not for everyone. And I am happy I found the right people who accepted me and loved me just the way I am.
Then my eyes landed at Mom. Well, I am glad she was my Mom. She raise me all by herself and at the same time rule Cassopeia all by herself. She is incredible. Truly a Queen.
When Mom and I left Cassopeia 15 years ago, I thought I am not going to return here anymore. But destiny had other plan. It made a way for me to return back to the place I belong.
In this place, like what Mom said, is a bit messy but happy. You will see here how you are going to manage your time and days that you have especially the people important to you because your safety isn't sure.
I look around and smiled.
This will be one of  the best memories I will treasure for the rest of my life.
