Today, the two of them were still chatting near the school garden. However, when Olivia asked Hina what happened, she just remained silent as if she had no intention of saying it. Deep in her mind, Hina didn't want to endure all of this because it was really troublesome. Meanwhile, without realizing it, class had started again and the two of them had to leave. The classroom atmosphere was dominated by noise, they immediately fell silent as soon as the teacher entered the room. Olivia glanced at Hina, she immediately felt something she didn't understand. Time passed quickly. This afternoon she went home and on the way saw something very familiar. However, she tried not to pay too much attention to what she was seeing. The view of the evening sky gave an extraordinarily beautiful impression. For the first time, Olivia felt a sensation like this in a long time. The journey to her house was still quite long. Slowly, she checked her phone and found that there was a message from that person. Again Olivia let it go without replying. Before she knew it, the bus she was currently riding had arrived at the stop near her house. Olivia got out and was now walking towards her house leisurely. Suddenly, someone called her name and it turned out to be none other than Ivana. Ivana quickly approached Olivia and they were seen chatting.
“You just got home?” Ivana asked.
"Yes, what is up?"
“Ah, I just wanted to invite you to karaoke. Do you want to come?”
“No, I have to go home soon.”
“I see. Oh yeah, is your house around here?”
“Right. Do you want to stop by?”
"Not today, I have to meet my friends. They must be waiting. See you later."
“Yes. See you later.”
Ivana had just left and now Olivia was walking towards her house. A few moments later, Ivana, who was on her way to her friends' place, saw a message on her phone and then smiled. Olivia had arrived in front of her house and now she opened the door. When she arrived inside, the deserted scene made her take a deep breath before finally getting ready to take a shower. It had been a few days since she was released from the hospital and they hadn't come to visit her at all. This habit had made her used to it and now it wasn't a problem. After finishing her shower, Olivia then cooked her favorite meal and watched television. The program that was currently running was none other than the latest news regarding the developments in the missing child case. Based on the stories of her friends at school, lately there had been a commotion about the case and they hadn't stopped talking about it. Olivia, who was completely unaware of the current events, just watched silently as they talked about it.
“Oh my gosh, what is this?” Olivia muttered as she looked at her phone and saw that the person was calling her.
“Where are you now?”
“Home. What’s wrong?”
“Good, at least you're not outside.”
"So what?"
“You didn’t realize? You just got out of the hospital. It would be a hassle if something happened.”
“Since when did you start worrying about me? Stop it. I can take care of myself.”
Olivia immediately ended the call and now she sat down while taking a deep breath again as if she was lightening the heavy burden on her back.
“This is so annoying. How long is this going to go on?” Olivia said as she put down her phone.
Time flies by so fast. All the events that happened today slowly fade as time passes. Olivia was asleep on the sofa and she woke up when she heard the sound of her cell phone ringing and this time someone sent her a message. The message came from an unknown number and made her feel surprised by it. The clock ticked loudly for a few minutes. She saw the message containing something and made her very surprised. Quickly, Olivia called the unknown number and apparently her call was not answered. Olivia felt frustrated until she finally decided to end it and go back to sleep. Olivia tried to close her eyes slowly. A night filled with something unexpected, sometimes makes some people feel quite scary sensations. This time it was precisely at a karaoke place. Ivana and some of her friends were still partying inside and they looked like they were having fun. Unexpectedly, Lizzy, who was indeed her friend, did not come that night and apparently Lizzy was at her house while working on some questions for exam preparation. Ivana, who was with her friend, was seen grumbling to them because something annoyed her. Suddenly, they had to listen to her grumbling.
“Ah damn. What are they doing? Didn’t I tell them to come!”
"That's it. Maybe they're studying or at least in lazy mode to play."
“Are you crazy? We promised. This was supposed to be the biggest party ever before you all left.”
“Gosh, how long are you going to nag? It won’t make them come here.”
“You'd better forget about them.”
“You guys are just as annoying.”
"What are you saying?"
“That's enough, my goodness.”
In the middle of their celebration, security suddenly arrived, instantly frightening them. Their faces betrayed their innocence, and they remained silent, staring at the security guards with innocent eyes. They were immediately dispersed and now stood outside the karaoke venue, looking extremely upset.
"Wait a minute sir, why did you bring us?" said one of Ivana's friends.
“You guys have to get checked.”
"What?"
"What were we doing? We weren't drinking alcohol or anything, we were just having a casual party."
“That’s not the point. You guys should just go along.”
"But…"
They were immediately taken to the nearest police station, where they appeared anxious. Ivana, who also felt uneasy, kept holding her trembling fingers. One of her friends noticed this and continued to watch her. For almost half an hour, they were interviewed by security, who claimed they were the missing student. Ivana's other friends vehemently denied this and said they had never known her, even though they attended the same school. Now it was Ivana's turn to be interviewed.
“Sorry, I don't know him either.”
"Please tell the truth."
"Really, I don't know him, and we don't know what you're talking about. We were at school at the time."
"Good grief."
"Can we go home now?"
“No. Not yet.”
"But…"
“Children, you better be careful. Do you know the consequences of even the slightest lie?”
They all fell silent and this time Ivana's friend who had been watching her all this time started to glance at her with an ambiguous look.
