Myra Some incidents sometimes brought two people closer to each other. The same had happened with us too. I have stopped marking him as a murderer as I have become one too. I was still in my sleep when I felt a hand around my waist. Surely it would be Ranvijay. Yes, we do share the same bed now though there wasn't any more intimacy apart from a kiss. After that gunshot incident almost every night I used to wake up in cold sweat looking at the wall. I started having nightmares. Every time Ranvijay used to come hurriedly running near my bed to console me. I was unable to sleep for a long time then he started sleeping beside me. He never moved an inch from my side. Since then we made an unknown deal of sleeping together in the same bed keeping a decent distance. Still in my sleep if I stirred or made any movement his hands always got my petite to assure his strong presence. Every time he used to wrap his hand around me putting his head near my neck. His hot breath used to fan near my neck giving me goosebumps. But god knows how he could control himself from initiating anything. I am sure he is giving me time to adjust myself with his touches and his existence. Eventually sometimes he used to kiss my neck to whisper in my ear, "Sleep tight. I am here." That's all. I started feeling more protected in his embrace. Maybe he became my sweet addiction. I am sure I would steal his cologne someday. It's surely something really captivating. My body reacts a lot to his touches. The most embarrassing moment was when I found myself resting on his bare chest after waking up. I am sure his hand was numb enough to support my weight for a long time. Damn, this man is actually getting into my nerves. I woke up in the morning and looked at him carefully. It was the same man I hated most when I got married. I still don't love him now but I don't hate him that much either. But I cannot continue in this way also. I should discuss it with him. I don't know how I would tell him that I will be leaving soon. Will he allow me to leave? I am almost at the verge of losing everything. I have a slight thought in my mind to stay back. Even if I have, I might need to go back to my country to settle my rest of the matter. I need to tell Lily and Ronan and I need to do something with my properties also. But why on earth I am even thinking of staying I don't know. I didn't know things would be changed so drastically within such little time. I huffed and moved towards the washroom to freshen up. When I came out I saw him sitting on the bed resting his head on the headboard. He was looking at his phone being so engrossed that he didn't even notice I was looking at him. I wanted to discuss with him the future of this marriage. He lifted his face after some time and his eyes met mine. I was unable to distinguish those different feelings in his eyes. "You know what. I can't believe that you have grown up so much." Ranvijay spoke with a smile on his face. "What do you mean by that?" I was unable to register his words in my mind. "You truly don't remember when you had visited Solanki Palace 19 years back. You were this much smaller." He showed the size of a small teddy bear to explain my height. I couldn't remember whether I had seen him or not exactly at that age. But yes his eyes always seemed familiar to me. It felt like I had already seen them long back. "I don't remember Jay." I stated the fact. "It's ok. Otherwise you might end up being embarrassed. At that time you had suddenly hugged me one day saying that you were a king. After that I picked you up in my embrace. You were too small like a little doll." Now that was purely embarrassing. My current husband has a memory of keeping me in his embrace. I felt my cheek get red. He stood up from the bed to move towards the washroom. Before going inside he pulled my nose and spoke, "You are and still were this much cute only." Saying that he entered the washroom and I felt it dissolve in the ground. Suddenly I got a call from Lily when my present knocked me down fully. "When are you coming back? It's been almost 6 months. Don't tell me you have fallen in love with someone and stay back there forever." It's been a bloody 6 months since I have been staying in my enemy's house. I don't know in what situation I had just put myself. Mayabati was right somewhere. Marriage is something else here. Somehow it finds its way to bind two people together no matter how bad the difference is there in between them. I somehow made her understand that I would come back soon. She didn't seem convinced with my words but told me to take care before disconnecting the call. I saw Ranvijay coming out of the washroom when I decided to join breakfast. "Listen, tomorrow we will go to Mumbai." I was stopped in my path hearing that. I haven't seen Mumbai till now but surely I was not ready to move out with him again. I hope it won't turn out to be a honeymoon. "Mumbai? For?" "I have some urgent work there. After finishing that I would take you for a tour of it. It was Randhir's idea." I don't know for how long this man would put everything on Randhir's name. Even if he wants something from me, he would still take Randhir's name to make me understand his carelessness towards me. Somewhere he doesn't want to show me that he cares for me or for this marriage. We both are equally stubborn and equally egoistic too. I didn't react, I simply said, "It's fine." We both headed towards breakfast. There was literally a shock waiting for me. The moment I sat, I saw there were pizzas on the table. I looked at Randhir's face and then Ranvijay's face. It was simply written like, "Don't you like it? It's your favourite food right?" "Pizza for breakfast? Really?" I spoke in astonishment. "Yes. Don't you like that? Pizza is your signature dish right?" Ranvijay spoke in a hurry. "Yeah, but that doesn't mean we do eat pizza for breakfast. I mean I understand that I am an Italian but does that mean I have to eat pizza for breakfast?" I was more than shocked. I was planning to spend my life with this man who prefers to give me pizza for breakfast because I am an Italian. What a fool I am. Damn, we might never know each other fully till the end of our life. We have so many cultural differences. "Isn't that good Myra? You guys will happily live your entire life knowing each other. Isn't that exciting?" My inner voice scoffed. "No." I simply growled at my inner voice. I saw the not so happy face of Nandini across the table. I understood her situation and stopped taking that into account. I sat on my chair and started having my normal breakfast. Obviously I couldn't think of eating pizza for breakfast. But after seeing their gloomy faces I had pizza too. After breakfast both the brothers left the house and I decided to meet Arjun. I called him up to pick me up from the Sekhawat Palace. After reaching the Solanki palace I saw Mayabati and Ragini waiting for me. I hugged Mayabati and she gently pressed the back of my head. Ragini seemed quite pale. I knew that her situation with Shaurya had deteriorated since my marriage. Arjun was more than excited since he picked me up from Sekhawat Palace. His expression was screaming his joy and his happiness. I entered the old room of mine to keep my belongings. I wanted to spend a day or two in Solanki palace. Mayabati entered my room after some time and sat close to me. "Beta, can I ask you something?" She was holding herself back from asking something to me. "Yes, tell me." "I know the marriage took place under a tough situation. I know I don't have any right to say such things. But I can see something has changed in your eyes. Did you give this marriage a chance?" I was not sure about my next answer. Did I actually give this marriage a chance? Did I actually stop fighting with myself? Did I actually drop my plan of putting him behind the bar? I had some many questions but there was no prominent answer available for me. I was still in a dorm with myself. On one hand I was fighting to hate him, on the other hand I was falling for him. The more days are passing, the more I am getting tangled in his life. "I am not sure. But I need to do something with this marriage. I don't know the future of us." Hearing my answers, Mayabati looked upset. How would I tell her that I can't see any future for us? I am just living in the past. We both don't know what is there for us in our future. We are just breathing in the same periphery to suck the life for each second. "Sometimes destiny chooses our partners." Mayabati said and left the room. In the afternoon after roaming around in the palace I sat for sometime in my room. Later on I came out to meet Arjun in his study. He was arranging whiskey for me. "Italiano, tell me how life is." Arjun laughed like a kid. "Missed you brother. But Randhir is good too. He is caring." "And Ranvijay? Tell me the truth Myra. Did he hurt you? I heard about the attacks. We are also searching for the attackers." "No, he didn't hurt me." I lied to him. We both had hurt each other. We both are broken somewhere and now have started gathering pieces to stand up. But I am not sure of it. "Myra, you have every right to leave this marriage whenever you want. I would handle the rest." "It's ok. You don't need to. Things will be sorted out." "How?" Arjun spoke with his utmost confusion. For the first time ever I didn't have any words to speak. I was numb. How? I asked myself the same question. I have become a murderer too. Solankis are equally guilty like Sekhawats. The plan I made has backfired now. Arjun was right from the beginning. I shouldn't have stepped into this. Neither I could expose him nor could I leave this marriage. I felt trapped inside a big web of secrets, betrayal and lies. The only way to leave him is to kill him. But I can't do that also. Agnihotri Mansion "But I can do that. The only way to bring Ranvijay down is to kill Myra." "What the hell are you talking about?" Arvind spoke after hearing his son's idea. "Yes. Don't worry dad. I will not kill her. She will be the stair to reach Ranvijay. The moment he would come to my clutches I would release Myra. We won't hurt her. We will pretend to kill Myra." "I am warning you Shaurya, don't even dare to play with the fire. You would die miserably." "Dad, trust me. This time the game will be mine and the winner will be me only." The whole room started echoing with his satisfying laugh. Solanki Palace Myra was still talking with Arjun when Ragini knocked at the door. Entering the room she got a bit shocked seeing them drinking together. Surely Arjun had never offered her drinks. She sat near Myra and said, "You are glowing like a newly wedded bride." Myra didn't understand much but appreciated her effort. "Thank you. How is your session going on with the psychiatrist?" Myra made her understand that she needed a psychiatrist to move forward. First time ever she heard her words and decided to carry on her session. Three of them sat together and started doing normal chit chat. Myra had a feeling that Ragini might have not forgotten Shaurya completely. But her primary concern was to keep her away from that bastard. "Ranvijay is a nice person." Suddenly Ragini spoke out of the blue. Myra looked at her being confused and she spoke her next words. "He came to meet me after his marriage. He asked me about Shaurya. He did even tell me that I could have been denied earlier for this marriage." Myra was not fully drunk but she felt she had heard something wrong. Her arrogant husband did care for his ex-fiancé? He did even ask for her options? Is she always wrong about him? He never spoke about Ragini in front of her since they got married. She didn't even expect him to be so genuine. One day he told her that Ragini was his fiancé but his wife is now Myra. So he hasn't forgotten his duty and responsibility towards her when she was fighting over something with him. "Oh. That's nice." Myra didn't say anything else apart from that. "You can think of this marriage further. I believe he won't fail you." Myra's entire surroundings looked blank after hearing Ragini's words. She couldn’t believe that people are actually seeing them growing together in this marriage. They are actually watching their growing attractions towards each other. But is she at all ready to see that? Neither him, nor her, no one is bothering to walk further in this marriage.
