I got to school just in time to see, Vera descending out of her Car.
I got out of my car, I bade Ronnie good bye before walking toward Vera.
" Hey Vera! You look more beautiful today. " I said hugging her.
" Aw... You look no bad yourself. " She replied.
" Hehehe... So shall we? " I asked her.
" Yes... " She held my hand, and began walking ahead when, the sound of a car stopping made us pause and stare backwards.
The black Jeep packed not too far away from us and then the two back doors opened.
It was a little surprised to see, Mira and another girl whom I recognized as Evelyn come out of the car.
They reexchange backpacks before holding hands and walking towards us.
They walked past us silently and entered into the school gate.
Really? I couldn't help but think.
With, Mira completely ignoring my existence, I couldn't stop the pained feeling I felt in my chest at this.
" She had really found a new target , haven't she! " Vera's voice rang beside me interrupting me from my thoughts.
" I guess she's found a new Friend. " I said with a pursed lip.
" Are you jealous? " She turned to me.
" Of course not. Why would I be? " I questioned her.
" Well... There are lots of reasons why you can be,You know. "
" Perhaps... But still, I am not jealous. "
" I'll take your word for it then. "
" Hm... Let's head in now. " I told her.
She nodded and we walked inside the school compound together.
As soon as we did, I began go hear whispers around us.
While some were fawning over us, others where throwing envious glances at us.
Not like I cared anyways .... I could say that I was already used to it.

To be honest, I wasn't expecting that we would see Joseph and Vera at the gate.
Nevertheless, I managed being casual and thankfully, Evie was being so understanding.
We simply reexchange backpacks when we got down from the vehicle.
Then, we simply walked past then and entered into the school.
As expected, our appearance together caused a small stir.
Completely ignoring all glances, we walked towards the assembly hall and took our lines for the commencement of the assembly.
The morning assembly was going well, until the principal ascended the podium.
" Good morning, Students... " She greeted.
We all replied back.
Then she proceeded by welcoming us back to school after the weekend and she then called both Joseph and I out.
Must I say, that was the moment I dreaded the most.
Then, she told the students about how we are to be resuming school officially on that day.
After which we were made to say feel words of apology and so on which we did.
The rest of the day went by normally until we were told by the economics teacher that we all are going to be joined together with the sciences due to an emergency.
I was really surprised by this as something like this had never happened before.
So why now?
Anyways there was nothing I could do about it since the teachers had made their decision.
Soon, the other students began to walk into our class one by one.
" Hey, Mira! " I heard Evie's voice beside me prompting me to look up.
" Hey, Evie! " I replied her.
" Well... Can I seat next to you for the economics class? " She Inquired enthusiastically.
" Sure... Why not. " I said as I carried my back pack which was on the desk and then placed it inside the locker.
" Thanks... " She replied seating down.
" You welcome. " I replied.
" So what do you think we are having a conjoined class? " She asked.
" Well... it's kind of impromptu, I guess this is due to an emergency, so.... let's just bear with it. "
" Okay... I am just hoping the class turns out to be more interesting than usual. "
" I hope so too... "
" Hm... "
Just then, the whispers around us both became louder.
Confusedly I looked up and almost immediately, my eyes met with that of, Joseph and Vera who were walking side by side into the class.
Have I ever told you guys that they are both science students?
Perhaps not.
" They look great together though. " I heard Evie's voice behind me.
" Maybe. " I found it very hard to admit it.
Well, they really compliment each other well as they were like the prince and princess of the whole school.
Not bad.
They walked towards us and then sat right at our back.
Oh no!
Why did they have to chose the seat at our back to seat down?
Out of the other vacant seats around us?
How would I be comfortable knowing that they are just at my back?
This is really going to be very awkward... I admit.
After all the other students had settled down... The teacher came in.
It's really funny to note that despite the fact that it was a three in one class, the classroom didn't look so crowded.
Well that's probably expected since the population of we final students were just 55.
While we art student took 25.
Commercial department took 15.
While the sciences took the remaining 15..
And since our classroom was a little larger than the rest of the other classroom.... It didn't look crowded at all.
Just that I felt a bit uncomfortable being in the same class as Joseph and Vera.
I just couldn't help it.... Wishing I could though.
