Chapter 37: Evergreen
Anais love the colors of the trees. How the trees lusciously looked in bright green. She love it.
She grasped her sweaters for a bit and felt the coziness of the soft breeze that passed by the balcony from where she is standing at.
She looked around when she smell the delicious warm bevarage and the smell of the sweetness of the cinnamon roll.
Anais looked around and saw Mark carrying a tray with it.
Mark on the other hand smiled happily. “It's perfect since the weather is cold yet the sun also has its soft rays for today this morning.”
Anais smiled and walked towards him as he placed the tray at the table. She went to him and he already is placing the plates on top of the table.
Anais went towards him and Mark looked at her. He then leaned for a bit and Anais hugged him.
Mark lightly tucked her hair, slightly pushing the strands away from her forehead and smiled at her.
“You look radiant always to me.” He spoke.
Anais smiled at him. She softly gaze through his face and lightly touched his face.
“And you're ever so well-poised, well-mannered, and extremely well-spoken in a manly way to me.” She complimented him. Remembering all the times that they've been always together.
Mark looked at her and smirked. He suddenly smiled at her with a huge grin on his face. “I should have spoken more words for you.”
Anais laughed at what he said. “It's alright. We have an entire lifetime to speak all of the lovely words we can ever think about that we can say to each other.”
Mark smiled and hugged her. She softly rested her head on top of his shoulders. The latter softly hugged her, giving her enough room to breath.
She smiled at the sight of the sky. It's always been peaceful to looked at it.
She smiled and remembered the One, the Lord God who is ever with them.
She thanked Him for the loveliness, for the lovely beginning of the day. Anais thanked Him in her mind and is happy. It's because He is guiding them always throughout their everyday lives.
As they stopped hugging Mark looked at her and he then urged her to have a sit.
He already pulled the chair for her to sit upon and Anais looked at him and smiled at him.
“Thank you, Mark.” Anais spoke.
Mark happily smiled at her before he then slightly pouted his lips. But then he is smiling before he went to the other side.
Mark pulled the chair and then sat beside her.
Anais laughed even more at his behavior. She looked at him before she then got the plate with the cinnamon roll and offered it to him.
Mark smiled before they both remembered something. And together they both nodded their heads before the bowed their heads and started to pray, thanking the Lord God for the blessing.
--
Anais slightly took a sip of the cup of the blond vanilla latte. She lookedd at him.
Mark smiled and even laughed at her. “The foams in your mouth.” He then wiped it off.
Anais laughed at what he said. “I'm sorry.” She chuckled. “This taste good.” She spoke to him.
Mark laughed and smiled at her. “Shall we tell Ambrosia and Haze that we already have something that we can share to their cafe?” He asked her.
Anais smiled at him. “You're right. I'm excited for their preparation at our wedding.” She happily spoke.
Mark smiled at her. “The cafe has been a part of our life, even back then when we were young and now that we're not preparing for our own family.” He responded.
“I'm always been grateful for the cafe. It's been our comfort place. We've been in there for a lot of times.” Anais spoke, she's remembering all of the times from their childhood memories in the cafe.
“Lots of good memories with our family and friends happened in that cafe.” Mark uttered.
Anais smiled even more at what he spoke. “Good old memories, and good new memories. And there's a lot that we can create. The cafe has a lot of branches now.” She spoke.
Mark smiled happily. “I'm happy for Ambrosia and Haze, and their partners too. They were such good pairs.” He spoke.
Anais smiled and nodded her head. “People that are full of love and wanted to offer the best towards other people with a cause.” Anais uttered.
They both smiled at each other. It's because the Perfect Blend Cafe has been feeding children and supporting them in orphanages. They also start a campaign helping street children and aiding them.
It's always been a good one. And Anais smiled at the thought that her friend Ambrosia had reach the dreams she once talked about.
Back then when they were younger when they went to church and pray and how Ambrosia dreamed for living a life that is thriving with love and support, for her dream is to help other people with what she can do.
Anais loved it. She's happy for her and her successes. She find the love of her life too.
Just like how she finds her that is always been with her all along.
She looked at him and started at him lovingly. Grateful always to God its because she can now build a happy family of her dreams, that is full of warmth and love, and at the same time, happy in the presense of the One who is full of love.
She looked at him and stared at Mark. “I'm grateful always been grateful that our Lord Jesus is full of love.” She spoke to him.
Mark looked at her and agreed. “Our Lord Jesus dedicated His time here on earth all for us. He loves us the most. And I am forever grateful for the love of our Lord Jesus for us.”
Anais smiled. “It's His love that saves us. It's always the love of our Lord Jesus that saves us.”
They both smiled and nodded their heads.
She sometimes think about what if He stayed for a little bit. But then she thought that the Father in Heaven's way is always been for the best.
He just wanted what's best for everyone. That's why she is ever grateful that there's someone Who is watching over them, guarding everyone's hearts and minds, keeping them safe from harm in this world.
Mark looked at her. “I baked a few cinnamon rolls. And thought of Him. So I baked some.” He spoke.
“If He's here, I know He would love to spend time with us. The three of us.” Anais spoke.
“And I know that at this time around. Our Lord God wanted us to give those cinnamon rolls towards others.” She added.
“He's always been the best. Our Lord God who knows what we exactly need at the moment and provides us with what we exactly need too.” Mark uttered.
They both smiled and looked at each other.
“Shall we gave it to the other people at the other cabin this time around?” Mark asked her.
Anais smiled and together they both decided that they would go out for the day and enjoy their time in the place they are staying into.
--
After they have given others those cinnamon rolls Mark baked, they have a little walk holding each others hands admiring the evergreen trees around them.
They love it since it provided shelter for the birds and at the same time the trees served as protection for the flood.
The place is like an evergreen sanctuary and at the same time provides comfort for the people who wants to have a peaceful stay in the comforts of trees and flowers.
“What if we kissed under the changing leaves of that tree?” Mark spoke and pointed at the tree from the other side.
There were also other trees beside it and Anais smiled at him.
“I would love too. And what if we stepped into those crunchy leaves together?” She asked him.
Mark and Anais laughed and together they held each others hand before they suddenly decided that they woyld run towards that tree.
They were giggling and laughing as they head towards the tree that Mark pointed into.
--
They head to the small cozy bookshop that's within the place.
And Anais is reading a book and Mark is sipping on the autumnal beverage they both ordered.
Anais looked at him and smiled at him. He is wearing is eyeglasses and Anais smiled at him.
“You look handsome.” She spoke.
Mark laughed and smiled at her. “And you are beautiful to me, Anais.” He spoke.
They both smiled at each other before Anais looked at him and this time around she stood from her chair.
Mark on the other hand is startled. He looked at her with a confuse gaze but then suddenly he was calmed down after Anais pulled out her chair and sat beside him.
Anais then showed her the book and the illustrations she's seeing.
Mark looked at it and smiled even more.
“What a lovely painting of the skies.” Anais spoke softly.
Mark leaned towards her shoulders and then Anais moved her hands to let him see the painting even more.
“The clouds, looked all pinky, puffy, and fluffy.” Anais spoke softly, and giggled.
Mark smiled and softly moved his fingers to touch the painting. “I want to see this clouds in the skies. I want to reach and extend my hands.”
“And it looks like cotton candies.” Anais added.
Mark looked at her while he was leaning, looked up towards her and smiled at her face.
“Upon the mention of the cotton candies. I suddenly craved for the taste of the cotton candy.” Mark uttered.
Anais and Mark both laughed at what he spoke.
It's always been in the peaceful and relaxing moments that they appreciate each others presence.
