The skies over Eastwood were pitch-black when the call came in. All units were green. JC stood by the command van, helmet in hand, his eyes scanning the live drone feeds. The footage from last night had changed everything. For weeks, they had been chasing shadows—now, they were about to crush them. “Falcon to all teams,” JC spoke into the comm. “We move in three. Repeat—Operation Eclipse is a go.” Three tactical units were positioned around the compound: Alpha team near the northern mining tunnel, Bravo team at the concealed exit by the riverbed, and Charlie team—JC’s own—waiting at the tunnel entrance from where the surveillance had been recorded. The Eastwood warehouse compound loomed quietly above. From the surface, it looked abandoned. Below, however, it pulsed with life—illegal tech, intercepted data, and Gregg Khan himself. JC locked eyes with Ryan. “We go quiet. Secure the lab first, then take the target. No mistakes.” Ryan gave a sharp nod. “We’ve got one shot at this.” With a final breath, JC signaled forward. They moved through the wide tunnel, their boots making no sound. The air was cold, dense with the scent of oil and rust. Every shadow seemed to move, but JC’s focus was absolute. Ahead, the metal gate. Same as before. Only this time, it wasn’t locked. Elia’s voice crackled through comms. “Gate access granted. Copy?” “Copy,” JC responded. “We’re in.” They slipped into the underside of the warehouse. Just as the footage had shown, the lab was active. A man typed rapidly typle in the computer with the blueprint of different types of weapons displayed into his computer. Gregg stood in the center, overseeing a boxes of weapons piled by several men coming from the ledt side of the lab which he thinks the storage of their newly developed weapons. JC raised his fist, signaling Bravo team. “Mark positions. Go on my count.” The seconds felt like hours. JC mouthed the countdown: Three… Two… One— “Move!” Flashbangs dropped through vents above, lighting the underground with thunder. JC and his team surged forward, weapons raised. “ON THE GROUND!” Ryan shouted. Chaos erupted. The techs froze, some dove behind machinery. Gregg reached for his pistol—but JC was faster. He tackled him down, pinning his arm behind his back and wrenching the weapon away. “You’re done, Khan!” JC hissed. Gregg struggled beneath him. “You don’t know what you’re interfering with—” “Oh, I do. And I’m ending it tonight.” Across the lab, agents neutralized threats, zip-tied personnel, and began photographing every piece of evidence. Machines, servers, documents—everything was secured. Elia reported in. “Control room clear. Uploading internal surveillance.” Ryan held up a duffel bag filled with drives. “Looks like they were trying to destroy these. We got them before they could wipe it all.” JC shoved Gregg toward two agents. “Secure him. Isolate. I want him under 24-hour watch.” Gregg smirked as he was dragged away. “You're too late . Even if you burn this place down, oir blueprints will be available for public and any organization can make the same weapons we are distributing that means your job is not over yet Queen” JC ignored him. Instead, he turned to the main console. A blinking indicator showed a satellite uplink—just like they’d seen earlier. He tapped into it, pulling up intercepted data—military-grade blueprints, shipping schedules, and encrypted messages traced to international black markets. His stomach tightened. This wasn’t just a tech crime. It was a national threat. “Send this to command,” JC ordered. “We need to escalate this to full counterintelligence.” “Copy that,” Ryan replied, already typing into the secure tablet. The raid had taken fifteen minutes. In that time, twenty-three suspects were detained, six illegal servers were seized, and three hidden vaults were opened—all of them containing weapons, documents, and forged identification linked to various shell corporations. As the dawn began to break over Eastwood, JC stood at the warehouse entrance, watching as Gregg Khan was loaded into a transport vehicle bound for IPPSAF’s East City detention site. Ryan stepped beside him. “Finally the top dog is done” JC nodded “And Dark Hive?” JC’s eyes followed the line of armored vans leaving the compound. “Without Gregg, and without this lab, they’ll scramble. We just pulled the spine out of their operation.” A message buzzed on his comm. Information from east city came through: “Confirmed—Gregg’s name shows up in Black Entry’s overseas funding routes. We have what we need to initiate international probes. Good job, Agents .” JC replied, “We’ll debrief once we return. Priority is containing any retaliation.” “Understood and be careful your team just became a target after this raid” JC ended the call, exhaling deeply. As the convoy drove off, the Eastwood warehouse smoldered behind him—evidence sealed, operation complete. For the first time in months, JC allowed himself a moment of stillness. The mission was far from over. But tonight… they had won. And when he returned to West City, he would finally deal with the one thing he'd been avoiding—Keira. But not until Dark Hive was nothing more than ashes
