CHESTER'S POV
I was about to get in the car when she suddenly said...
"I still love you..."
It took a while before I could respond... She still loves me… But she’s taken...
"Sir... We really need to go..." my assistant driver whispered to me.
"I'm sorry, Keira. Clearly, we both still have feelings for each other, but... we met again at the wrong time. We have to let go and move on."
"If you leave right now, I don’t think I can wait for you again..."
I couldn't speak... I didn’t know what to prioritize... My responsibility or my love life...
"Sir, I’m really sorry to interrupt you, but we really, really need to go now." Then his phone rang...
"Hello... Yes, I’ll be on my way... Okay... Bye..."
I put down the phone.
"I’m sorry, Keira. Now is not the right time for us. I really need to go..."
She pulled my hand again and to my surprise—she kissed me.
She kissed me... She made the first move... And I kissed her back... I missed her kiss so much... I still love her... I’ve always loved her...
Our kiss lasted longer than it should have before she let go... just before I could forget that she already has a boyfriend. I finally got into the car.
While the car was moving... I held my lips, still stunned. I noticed the driver and the assistant smirking at me through the mirror.
"Watch the road..." was all I could say.
She still loves me... And I still love her... We feel the same...
"Drive fast."
"Yes, sir."
I wanted to finish this mission and get back home... to make everything clear.
When I arrived at the private airport... the others were already aboard. The plane had come from different countries... and apparently, they were only waiting for me.
"What took you so long, man?" asked Dan Smith, a special agent from West Island.
"Sorry, I had to settle things..." was all I could say.

KEIRA'S POV
He left... For the second time... We’re separated... again. And what have I done? I kissed him... Oh God... I have a boyfriend, and I kissed another man...
I’ve been standing in front of their house for about three minutes when the rain started to pour. Damn this weather is sympathizing with me, I muttered.
A moment later, Jessie came out with an umbrella and pulled me inside.
"Get inside and change into dry clothes... You’ll get sick if you don’t," she said.
"No need... I have to go..."
"Just go home when the rain stops. For now, change into some dry clothes," she insisted, then dragged me to the bathroom and handed me some spare clothes.
I had no choice, so I got changed. When I came out, Jessie was in the living room watching a movie. She gestured for me to sit down and handed me a hot cup of coffee.
"Do you feel better now?"
I didn’t answer.
"I’m sorry for everything—for not telling you about him," she said. "I know it’s not easy for you, but this is all I can do."
"I know," I replied.
"My brother... he’s not who you think he is," she continued. "He might seem cold, but that’s because he suffered a lot growing up. And he likes you—no, I mean, he really loves you. He recovered so quickly when he was bedridden... because of you."
"I don’t really know him at all, Jessie.."
"That’s why I’m helping you get to know him. He never fell in love with anyone before... He’s always been focused on his job, looking after everyone else except himself."
After a few minutes, the rain finally stopped. I insisted on going home, so Jessie called her on-call driver to take me.
The driver kept glancing at me. I was obviously restless—the kiss I gave Chester really showed how much I still love him. And JC’s response... meant he felt the same.
"Are you okay, ma’am?" asked Jessie’s driver.
"Yes, I’m okay..."
"Where would you like to be dropped off?"
I immediately thought of Carl... When I saw the building of his condominium...
"Just drop me off at the corner of CC Condominium..."
"Alright."
When I got off, I went straight into the condo. The guard greeted me.
"Ma’am, where are you headed?"
"Did you see Carl Arguelles today?"
"Oh, Sir Carl? Hmm, he’s probably in his unit. He hasn’t gone out today... His car’s still parked."
"Alright, thank you..." I entered and took the elevator.
He said he had plans... So why is he here?
He owns the entire 18th floor, so it wasn’t hard to find his place. I also had a key, so getting in wasn’t a problem.
When I got inside, I saw his car keys and phone on the table... his coat and tie were thrown on the sofa. He’s never been the tidy type—he’s used to someone else picking up after him at home.
I headed to the kitchen to cook something for Carl. When I opened the fridge, it was surprisingly well-stocked.
After 30 minutes, I finished cooking... then went upstairs to his room.
When I opened the door... I was stunned.
Carl was lying on the bed... next to a woman. Both were naked, only a blanket covered their naked bodies.
"Carl..." I said in disbelief.
Both of them stirred from the sound of my voice.
"Kiera... Babe!!"
"What babe? I thought you two were over," the woman confronted him.
I didn’t say a word. I slammed the door shut and ran out of the condo. He followed me.
"Kiera!" I stopped.
I removed the ring from my finger and threw it at him.
"You know... I came here because I felt guilty. I canceled our date because I went to a friend and saw the man I loved before you came into my life... But after what I’ve seen here, my guilt just vanished."
"No, Kiera... You’re the one I love..."
"How long have you been seeing her? Let me guess... three months? That’s when you started changing, always rushing around..." He looked down, confirming my suspicion.
"I’m sorry but..."
"Thank you... for making it easier for me. Goodbye."
"No—babe!" He tried to follow me but couldn’t step out—he was only covered in a towel.
While I was inside the elevator, my tears fell. I don’t know... Part of me was hurt because I loved him in some way. But another part of me felt... relieved. I don’t know why. Maybe I never truly loved Carl.
When I got out of the building, I went straight home. So much happened today, and when I got home, that’s when I finally felt the exhaustion.
I laid down on my bed and noticed tears falling from my eyes...
"Why am I crying..." I whispered.
Even I didn’t know the answer.
