The ‘So We’re Still Alive, Huh?’ Scene
The air was crisp.
The sky was slowly brightening.
And yet—
Elara was still processing the fact that they just survived.
Jax, cheerful. “Well, that was fun.”
Elara, deadpan. “Define fun.”
Jax, grinning. “We lived.”
Kael, muttering. “Barely.”
Lucienne, mocking. “Aww, poor Kael. Was it too scary for you?”
Kael, flatly. “Lucienne.”
Lucienne, smirking. “Yes?”
Kael, calmly. “Shut up.”
Jax, laughing. “You two are so fun to watch.”
Elara, groaning. “Can we just—find food?”
Jax, dramatic. “Oh no. She’s hangry.”
Elara, warning. “Jax.”
Jax, grinning. “Noted. Food first.”
Kael, quietly. “Good idea.”
Elara blinked.
Because—
Kael agreed too quickly.
Elara, squinting at him. “You hungry too?”
Kael, not looking at her. “Maybe.”
Elara, suspicious. “Maybe?”
Kael, changing the subject. “Let’s go.”
Elara, mocking. “Uh-huh. Very convincing.”
Kael, ignoring her.
Lucienne, whispering to Jax. “They’re so obvious.”
Jax, grinning. “Painfully.”
Elara, rolling her eyes.
But—
She didn’t deny it.

The ‘Why is This Taking So Long’ Scene
They found a small clearing not far from the ruins.
It was quiet.
Safe enough to rest.
Jax, stretching. “Alright. Fire first.”
Lucienne, casually. “Kael, you’re on wood duty.”
Kael, dryly. “Why me?”
Lucienne, grinning. “Because you’re the strongest.”
Kael, flatly. “No.”
Lucienne, mock innocence. “Elara, back me up.”
Elara, immediately. “Oh, absolutely.”
Kael, narrowing his eyes. “You two are the worst.”
Lucienne, cheerful. “And yet you still tolerate us.”
Kael, sighing.
But—
He still went to gather wood.
Elara smirked.
Lucienne winked.
Jax, grinning. “I love teamwork.”

The ‘Cooking is Harder Than It Looks’ Scene
Once the fire was going, Jax decided he’d handle cooking.
Big mistake.
Lucienne, horrified. “What is that?”
Jax, proudly. “Food.”
Elara, grim. “Is it?”
Jax, offended. “Yes.”
Kael, staring at the disaster. “It’s burnt.”
Jax, confident. “That’s flavor.”
Lucienne, disgusted. “That’s charcoal.”
Elara, muttering. “We’re gonna die before the enemy even finds us.”
Jax, dramatic. “Fine. Cook it yourself.”
Lucienne, cheerful. “Gladly.”
Jax, grumbling. “Ungrateful.”
Elara, mocking. “Survivor.”
Kael, watching them.
Then—
Elara, squinting at him. “You’re quiet.”
Kael, calmly. “I’m just thinking.”
Elara, curious. “About?”
Kael, glancing at her. “Nothing important.”
Elara, suspicious. “Uh-huh.”
Kael, small smirk. “Eat first.”
Elara, grinning. “Bossy.”
Kael, amused. “Efficient.”
Elara snorted.
But—
She listened.

The ‘Oh No, This is a Moment’ Scene
After eating, they finally had a moment to breathe.
Jax and Lucienne were arguing over something pointless.
Elara was sitting near the fire.
And Kael—
He sat beside her.
Elara blinked.
Kael, casually. “You don’t mind?”
Elara, slowly. “No.”
Kael nodded.
Then—
Silence.
But it wasn’t uncomfortable.
It was—
Nice.
Elara, quietly. “You really were thinking about something.”
Kael, glancing at her. “Maybe.”
Elara, watching him. “And?”
Kael, after a pause. “I was just… wondering what’s next.”
Elara raised an eyebrow.
Elara, softly. “For us?”
Kael hesitated.
Then—
Kael, equally soft. “Maybe.”
Elara’s heart did that thing again.
She hated it.
She liked it.
It was annoying.
Elara, teasing. “That almost sounds sentimental.”
Kael, mocking. “Almost.”
Elara grinned.
Kael watched her.
Then—
He did something unexpected.
He reached out—
And tucked a strand of her hair behind her ear.
Elara froze.
Kael, calmly. “Your hair was in your face.”
Elara, staring. “Oh.”
Kael, amused. “Are you flustered?”
Elara, immediately. “NO.”
Kael, smirking. “You sure?”
Elara, grumbling. “Stop talking.”
Kael, chuckling. “Alright.”
But—
He didn’t move away.
And Elara—
She didn’t want him to.

The ‘We’re Not Talking About It’ Scene
Morning came too soon.
Jax, loudly. “TIME TO GO.”
Lucienne, grinning. “Rise and suffer.”
Elara, groaning. “Why are you like this?”
Lucienne, cheerful. “Gifted.”
Kael, flatly. “Cursed.”
Jax, laughing. “Both, probably.”
They packed up quickly.
But—
Elara couldn’t shake the feeling that something changed.
She glanced at Kael.
He looked normal.
Calm. Focused.
But—
When their eyes met—
There was something there.
Something new.
Something dangerous.
Elara, quickly looking away.
Kael, softly smirking.
Lucienne, watching them. “Interesting.”
Jax, grinning. “Very.”
Elara, warning. “Don’t.”
Jax, mock innocence. “Don’t what?”
Lucienne, smirking. “Exactly.”
Kael, calmly. “Let’s move.”
Elara, muttering. “Thank you.”
Kael, amused. “You owe me.”
Elara, mocking. “Wow. What a hero.”
Kael, smirking. “Always.”
Elara rolled her eyes.
But—
Her heart still did the thing.
And she really, really needed it to stop.
