Logan's POV
Emma just nodded, not saying much more. I knew that it wasn't easy for her to accept this. But I also knew that Emma was a strong woman. She might feel awkward for a while, but she wouldn't let this affect her work.
After a while, Emma stood up and tidied up her files. "If there's nothing else to discuss, I'll be returning to my desk, President Logan."
I nodded. "Thank you, Emma. Keep up the good work."
She nodded and turned around, walking out of the room without another word. I watched her go, feeling the weight that still hung between us. I knew that this journey wouldn't be easy, but I also knew that I couldn't give up.
Approaching Emma as Logan was the wiser choice, but it also meant that I had to be patient and careful. Emma wasn't the type of woman to be approached easily, especially after everything she had been through. However, I was sure that behind her determination, there was a space that I could open up, a space where I could show her that I was someone she could trust.
 Now, I just need to wait and find an opportunity to approach her further, carefully and slowly. Emma may still be shocked and confused, but I'm sure, as time goes by, she will see that I'm not just a man with a dark past.
Emma's POV
I walked out of the meeting room with heavy steps. My body seemed to move automatically, but my mind was still left in the room with Logan. Or rather, President Logan. The man I had known as someone who only occasionally appeared at certain moments, suddenly turned into the most powerful figure in this company. The man I had met in the hospital when my child was being treated, the man Scarlett introduced to me casually, turned out to be the President Director. All of this felt like a complicated game.
When I returned to my room, I tried to suppress the anxiety that was overflowing inside me. The meeting just now was still fresh in my mind. Logan's voice, the way he looked at me, everything felt so different now. All this time, I had only thought of him as an acquaintance, someone who had no big influence in my life. But, the fact that she was the President Director who led this company made me feel cheated. Why didn’t she ever tell me who she really was?
I opened the door to the room and found Scarlett sitting at her desk. She looked straight at me, her face showing curiosity that she couldn’t hide.
“What’s wrong with you, Emma? It seems like something happened,” Scarlett asked, her voice full of concern.
I was silent for a moment, still trying to understand what had just happened. Scarlett’s question made my feelings even more turbulent. How should I explain this to her? How could I tell her that the man she introduced to me as a casual friend turned out to be someone who had a huge influence on my life now?
“I just met Logan in the meeting room,” I said softly, trying to calm myself down.
Scarlett looked at me in confusion. “What? Why was he there?”
I shook my head, trying to clarify what I meant. “Scarlett, the man you introduced me to at the villa a while ago… he’s also Logan, the President Director I just met.”
Scarlett’s reaction seemed surprised. She only stared at me for a few seconds before her eyes widened. “Wait… The Logan you met at the hospital was Logan, the CEO? Are you serious?”
I nodded, still trying to calm my erratic heartbeat. “Yes. I don’t know what to feel right now. I’m really shocked. All this time I thought he was just an acquaintance of yours, someone who showed up once or twice without having a big influence. But it turns out… he’s Logan, Scarlett. The man who leads this company.”
Scarlett sat up straight, as if she was digesting the information I had just conveyed. “Oh my God, Emma. I never thought he would come in a way like that.”
I took a deep breath, trying to calm myself down as I was continuously hit by waves of mixed feelings. “You didn’t know either?” I asked because Scarlett didn’t sound too surprised.
“Ah… I know, but I didn’t mean to hide it from you. I thought he would just stay at the head office.”
“Of course. I didn’t even know at all. How could I know? He always introduced himself as Logan, no title or anything.”
My mind went back to the first time I met him in the hospital. He came with Scarlett, bringing me some food and toys as a token of my concern. I remember how friendly and sympathetic he was then, treating me like an old friend, even though we had just met. I felt comfortable talking to him, maybe because he never showed any signs of being someone powerful. He just seemed like a regular guy who cared. 
But now, everything had changed. My surprise was not only because he was a CEO, but also because of the way he kept his identity from me. What did this mean? Was he hiding it on purpose? Or was it just a coincidence? Questions were running through my head, spinning endlessly. 
Scarlett looked at me with concern. “Are you okay, Emma? I know this must be a shock, but maybe Logan had his reasons. He’s always been a bit mysterious about his life.” 
“I know,” I said softly, my voice shaking slightly. “But why didn’t he tell me who he really was? I feel deceived, Scarlett. All this time I thought he was just a regular, caring guy. But it turns out he was more than that. He has control over my career, over my job. That makes things complicated.”
Scarlett leaned in, putting her hand on my shoulder. “Emma, ​​I’m sure Logan isn’t the type to lie to people on purpose. Maybe he just doesn’t want to treat you any differently. You know, people often treat people in his position differently. Maybe he just wants to be known as just Logan, not the CEO.”
I nodded, though I still had doubts. That could be the reason, but it was still hard for me to accept it. “I hope so, Scarlett. But I don’t know if I’ll ever see him the same way again.”
In my mind, the image of the Logan I met at the hospital kept appearing. His friendly smile, his warm demeanor. But now everything felt blurry. I didn’t know if I could separate the Logan I considered a friend from the Logan who was the leader of this company.
