The next morning before breakfast, Blair handed Axel a piece of paper. "What's this?" asked Axel. "Instead of serving breakfast, you gave me a piece of paper instead?" Blair sat at the dining table across from Axel. She smiled broadly. "Because this is a contract marriage, we need a contract letter. The paper you are holding right now is the agreement I made." Axel was a little surprised because he didn't think that Blair would accept his proposal of a contract marriage. Before Axel could read the clause in Blair's contract, the girl had already taken the contract back. Blair couldn't wait. She started reading out the critical points in the contract agreement she had made. "First, you must respect privacy by removing the bodyguards who will continue to guard me and this house. Second, there is no physical contact. Thirdly, this marriage lasts no more than three months." Blair fell silent. At least she has time until she can't hide her pregnancy anymore. Three months is a critical time for Blair to really hide her growing belly. "Finally," Blair said. "You will give up this house when we divorce. Is there anything that bothers you?" Blair put the contract back on the table and folded her arms across her chest. "There is one more addition!" Axel exclaimed. "If this agreement letter is disclosed to a third party, the contract agreement is cancelled. And you must be my lawful wife forever. As compensation because you might tarnish my good name if it is revealed that this was just a fake marriage." "What?" Blair was surprised by the additional conditions given by Axel. "You mean to tie me in marriage forever?" "I know you don't want it, Blair. Therefore you have to fight hard so that this agreement is not known by third parties and the public. I need reassurance that this secret is safe until we divorce." "Okay!" Blair answered quickly. She didn't think long. They began to put signatures on each other's copies of the contract. The next day, Axel takes Blair to a hotel for a press conference. Axel waited for the woman who was being made up by his staff. They worked hard for the press conference that day. In the ballroom where the press conference will be held, dozens of journalists are waiting. They were ready to cover the terrible news. When the makeup artist came to accompany Blair and escorted her to Axel, the man's eyes widened a little. Blair felt awkward and embarrassed to be noticed by Axel. She was only wearing a knee-length orange-red dress, and her hair was pulled up in a bun. Blair also deliberately wears a coat to cover her stomach. Axel was utterly amazed to see Blair's appearance, which looked so beautiful and very different from usual. "Why? My clothes and makeup look weird, huh?" she asked. Axel snapped out of his daydream. He's so awkward. "YES! You look like you're going to a clown party." Blair immediately pouted and became insecure. However, the makeup artist who accompanied her convinced the girl. "I think you look so beautiful and so perfect. It's a shame even though I already offered a slightly open dress, you instead chose a closed dress. I also think that coat only covers your pretty dress." "Ah, never mind! I can't stand the cold." "Come on, hurry up! The reporters have been waiting," Axel said. He didn't want to linger. Because Axel was afraid that if he admired Blair for too long, he would look like a complete idiot. Blair has stage fright. She had never been the centre of attention in her life. Many cameras keep panning on her. The reporters started scrambling to ask questions that really made Blair giddy and nauseous. "Where did you guys first meet?" "In the rest area near the campsite!" Axel replied with a big smile. Blair just looked down. "Why did you decide to get married now, Mr Barney? Last time at the opening of your newly inaugurated hotel, you said there were no plans to get married anytime soon. Was this deliberately hidden?" one reporter asked. Axel answered confidently. "Yes, I am free to give any answer at that time. Because it's about my privacy. Now that we are sure, we will finally reveal it to the public. Because love is unpredictable. We met without a plan, and she is my mate." "Doesn't this wedding seem rushed?" someone asked. "Is it because there is a baby you are waiting for?" Blair's face went pale. She reflexively held her stomach. Everyone instantly fell silent. They waited for an answer from both Axel and Blair. Suddenly Axel laughed loudly to unravel the tension in the press conference room. He answered calmly. "Absolutely no babies at the moment. I just really love this woman. I've been waiting for her arrival. And when God brought her right before me, I wanted to protect and guard her heart. I am always by her side. If there will be a baby, that's a bonus for me!" Blair glared at Axel. She couldn't believe Axel could utter such sweet words. Whereas in everyday reality, Axel is more often rude and snaps at Blair whenever he wants. The press conference was broadcast live on national television. Celine Barney, who was in the office then, watched the exclusive news with her hands clenched tightly. "What is this? What exactly is Axel thinking and planning? He had disgraced the family by rejecting Clarissa! He has ruined my matchmaking plan and ruined the future of the Barney family business!" Celine threw the remote on the table. Before she finished cursing Axel's decision, her office door swung open. Clarissa walked quickly to Celine. The woman immediately turned off the television and stood up from her chair. Clarissa, with explosive emotions, stepped closer to Celine. She slammed her bag on the table. "What's the point of all this, Mrs Barney? Didn't you promise that Axel and I would be engaged? But, see what happened?" Clarissa screamed hysterically. "Axel even announced his marriage to a foreign woman? This is unacceptable. You have disgraced my parents' reputation! We will never be able to do business with your family again!" "Clarissa... calm down!" persuaded Celine in a panic. Celine approached the girl and tried to quell her emotions. "Let's just say this is a rebellion from a spoiled son. Axel didn't know what he was doing. He wasn't reasoning. I'm sure he just wants to play around with all of this. I know very well who Axel Barney is. He wouldn't easily make a decision of this magnitude without a specific intention and purpose." "You trying to comfort me, Celine? He had clearly announced his marriage. He has even ordered a wedding dress for the foreign woman." Celine massaged her throbbing temples. "Calm down, Clarissa. Even if they get married, I ensure their marriage age will not last more than two months. Axel will still be yours. I will find any way to separate them." Celine called the assistant on the phone at her desk. A man in a black suit came while saluting Celine and Clarissa. Celine gave a specific order in a slightly quiet voice. Then the male assistant left the room. Now, Celine looks to breathe a sigh of relief. "What are you planning, Mrs Barney?" Clarissa knew something was up. "From the beginning, I already felt annoyed with this girl's appearance. We will get the answer soon. Who is she really?"
