Chapter 55

Early the following morning, I got up from my bed and walked to the bathroom of my room. After taking my bath, I walked to Chloe's room.
“Chloe!” I called on getting to her room.
“Yes, Sophia,” Chloe said coming out of the bathroom with a towel.
 “Good morning Chloe,” I said.
“Good morning.” She replied my greeting.
“Chloe, how do you feel today?” I asked her.
“Let's get to work.” She said, and I smiled.
She meant our working on Jane and Andrea's mind. I smiled with satisfaction and jumped to her.
“I am so happy today,” I said and Chloe smiled, standing up.
 “Let's go,” I said.
Chloe held my hand, and together we left the room to join the other children.
 Andrea smiled on seeing us.
“I hope you will be sad when Chloe leaves you,” Andrea said, looking at me, and I shook my head.
“I am sure you are going to miss one another, but it's for the best as Chloe will start a new life with her new family by next week,” Andrea said, looking from me to Chloe.
I took in a breath and smiled, looking at Chloe.
“You should get a new friend,” Jane said, walking towards us.
I looked at her and smiled, shaking my head as I remembered when I was a friend of Diana, who had adopted a long time ago.
Jane took up Chloe's hand and shook her head.
“I am sorry, but you would have to begin a new life with your new parents and get new friends.” She said to Chloe who only sighed.
I walked to Andrea and held her tight. She struggled with me, trying to take my hands off her, but I didn't allow it.
She looked at me and I had to use my power to make her succumb to my wish.
I turned to look at Chloe who smiled at me.
“Go ahead,” I told Chloe through the mind link.
We decided the last day to tell her what we wanted whenever she succumbs to us.
“I would rather not be given for adoption.” She said and Andrea nodded her head.
Jane looked at me as she couldn't understand what was going on.
“We can't stop it now, Andrea. We've already finalized it with Miss Deborah.” Jane said, and I couldn't but look on as she mentioned the name ‘Deborah.’
“We actually can,” Andrea said to Jane.
Jane walked to Chloe and held her arm.
Chloe also stared into Jane's eyes for some minutes then looked away from her and said, “I don't want to get adopted.”
Jane nodded her head, and Chloe smiled, looking at me.
“Wow, we did it,” I said happily.
Chloe stood smiling as Jane and Andrea walked past us.
“This is great.” I said laughing.
We walked to the breakfast table and saw what they were eating. We couldn't eat with them as they were eating what we couldn't eat.
We picked up the meats in our food and ate it then walked out of the building.
On reaching our class, we had our sit together putting on our shade.
The class for the day took two hours as usual.
After the class for the day, we went out to the field and saw our mates playing.
I walked to the field to talk to someone or have a reason to scare someone, but Chloe held me back.
“Not today,” Chloe said and I looked at her and nodded.
I understood why she pulled me back. She didn't want them to suspect me of the murder in the orphanage as we usually scare the children.
Chloe smiled holding my hand, and together we went to where we normally stay.
On getting there, we saw some students who weren't our mates there.
“Hello!” I said trying to call their attention.
“Yes, who are you ?” They asked me.
“I am Sophia, and this is our play area,” I said, putting my hands across Chloe's neck.
The guys who were among laughed us to scorn.
“Alright, this is your play area?” A boy asked, getting up, and I nodded my head.
“Alright, you would understand now.” He said while the girls who stood by his back laughed.
“You may come.” The boy said.
I looked at the girls by his back who were laughing and wondered why they were laughing.
I held Chloe's hand and walked with her to a side. The boy bent down and held some sand. He threw the sand at us and took more sand and threw it at us. The girls also took up sand and threw it at us.
“Stop.” We both said, but they kept laughing and throwing the sand at us.
The remaining children joined in throwing some sand at us.
I got aggravated by the way they were behaving and held Chloe's hand who was also feeling aggravated.
We both rushed to them and drew two of them close to ourselves.
The remaining children kept throwing sand. We bent and bit the neck of the two children then drank their blood.
On seeing this, the remaining children ran away while two girls cried over the two people.
Haven drank enough; we allowed the body to fall down flat.
We went to the nearby tap and wiped the side of our mouth.
We then walked to the field and rested a bit before resting.
After resting a bit, we both got up and looked to our side then held our hands up.
We jumped together as we laughed.
We went back into the building when we had played.
“Please don't kill me.” The boy who started the whole charade said.
I looked at him and shook my head.
“Next time be careful,” I said.
I winked at him and held Chloe tight as I walked down to my room smiling.
I stopped walking when I felt a hand point in my direction and smiled on seeing a girl who had been at the scene of the incident and waved to her, then I continued walking.
