Episode 6.

Gina's heart swelled with relief. He was the one who had saved her sister, and though she couldn't repay him, she knew the gods would reward Daniel for his kindness. He was a protector, a beacon of hope in the darkness, a true conqueror.
She felt a weight lift from her shoulders. Knowing her sister was safe with Daniel brought her a sense of peace. She knew, however, that their reuniting with Tina wouldn't be easy. The police will still be going after them and she would be hiding from the police so she can't carelessly move around. However she knows Tina very much, Tina would still be so desperate to find her, It won't be long before she storms this place for her.
"Thank goodness! she's alive at least" she exclaimed, clutching her chest. Since entering Danforth's care, she hadn't felt this much joy. She had believed her sister was lost forever as Danforth wasn't ready to help the case, but the gods had shown their mercy, and Daniel, their champion, had intervened. He deserved every blessing they could bestow.
As her happiness bloomed, a sharp instinct for survival took hold. She couldn't simply wait for her Tina to find her on her own. This place is secured enough, If her sister ever enter this place in search of her it would be a disaster. Her life would be in jeopardy, and she might not make it back alive.
So to make things easier, Gina believed that running away from this place would be better, and if she escapes, she must make sure that she finds her sister before she still storms Danforth home thinking she's there.
So, the best place for her to go was home. Her sister would be there, searching, waiting. Gina imagined her sister's face, filled with worry and longing. She had to get back to her. If Tina wasn't home, she could try calling her, but she knew Tina's phone was gone. Still, she clung to hope. She wouldn't sit here and wait, knowing that her sister's arrival wouldn't be easy. She had to take her own fate into her hands.
As Gina was lost in her thought the door burst open. Mr. Danforth and his men were back, their faces grim. One of the men held the door open for him to walk inside, and she could see the rage burning in Mr. Danforth's eyes. She didn't need to ask why he was angry; she knew.
As soon as their eyes met, Gina feigned distress. She sobbed dramatically, pretending to be heartbroken and oblivious to the truth. She was acting, playing the part of a grieving sister, desperate to convince him that she had no idea her sister was still alive. She looked down at the floor, trying to forcing out fake tears that threatened to spill out from her eyes like water.
"You see! I told you there was no way your sister would be saved! She could have been saved if she was a good person. I told you she was a hardened criminal, and now you see that her criminal friends broke into the prison to get her out. I believe this proves that your sister is not a good person. She's corrupt, and they're the ones killing this city!" Mr. Danforth spat, his voice laced with venom.
Gina gasped, her mouth falling open in shock. "You mean my sister is alive? Oh, thank goodness! I thought I'd lost her, truly lost her. But she's alive! Thank goodness! Thank you, almighty!" Gina cried out, her voice filled with joy. She knelt down, her face a mixture of tears and smiles. Tears streamed down her cheeks, but she was beaming.
"And what exactly are you being happy about? Why are you so happy right now?" Mr. Danforth roared, his voice booming, sending shivers down Gina's spine. He was always brutal, always harsh with her.
Living with this old man was like living in hell. She pitied his previous wives, knowing they wouldn't have fared any better, but hers is worst though. At least the others weren't trapped with him in the same roof, forced to endure his cruelty. He tormented her, belittling her, making her life a misery.
Whenever he wanted to force himself on her, she couldn't escape. He had his men around, ready to subdue her if she resisted. She knew it would be a nightmare if it came to that, so she always gave in. Maybe he was infertile, maybe that's why he hadn't gotten her pregnant yet.
But if he couldn't have children, why did he marry her? Why keep her childless? However, she that's a win for her because she didn't want to be burdened with a pregnancy, especially with him. If she ever did get pregnant a d Danforth is responsible, she'd terminate the baby without a second thought. She couldn't imagine bringing a child into this world with him as its father. He was a cruel, wealthy man, not the kind she wanted to spend her life with.
"I'm telling you, your sister is one of those hired killers, a wicked, evil person who's been terrorizing the city. Now you have proof. You doubted me before, but now you have evidence. You should be scared of her, because she's coming for all of us! Don't ever think of her as your sister again. She's not your sister anymore. You're the one who sent her down this path, and if I may say so, it's because of people like you that she's coming after us!" Mr. Danforth spat, his words venomous and laced with anger.
"Don't you dare think for a second that those hired killers, those girls, see you as their sister. They don't. As far as they're concerned, you're just an obstacle in their way, and they'll get rid of you. Please, you know how much I care about you," Danforth said, his hands cupping her cheeks, his gaze piercing. He leaned in and pressed a gentle kiss to her lips, but Gina felt nothing but irritation. She wanted to spit in his face.
She knew better than to try anything. If she did, they'd deal with her mercilessly. The boys around act like his puppets, they were easily controlled, completely devoted to him. They'd even die for him, and she couldn't understand why. He wasn't paying them that much, at least not that she knew of. Maybe he was favoring them in some way, giving them something else they needed. Or maybe he was paying them handsomely, enough to make them willing to lay down their lives for him. Some of them already had.
"And so, because I care for you, I'm going to protect you. I'll do everything in my power to shield you from those who would hurt you. Your sister is one of them," he said, taking a deep breath.
Gina stared at him, wondering what he was trying to do. She didn't want to interrupt, didn't want to say anything yet. She wanted to hear him finish, to understand his point. She saw where he was going with this, but how could he possibly see her?
He truly believed she was one of his puppets, one of those mindless slaves outside, those citizens he manipulated and controlled. He thought she was just another pawn in his game. That's why he thought he could convince her that her sister was out to kill her, that he was the only one who could protect her. It was all so transparent, so obvious. This man was something else, he'd go to any lengths to get what he wanted. But at least now she could see that he was scared.
She could sense how scared he was, how terrified he really was. He didn't know what to do except bluster and threaten. She knew what he was trying to do. He wanted her to hate her sister, to make things safe for him. He didn't want her to escape, and he didn't want her to go with her sister when she came to rescue her. He knew her sister would come for her, he knew it was only a matter of time.
"So, since I care about you and I would do anything to protect you, you're coming with me! We're leaving this house and we're relocating to another town as soon as possible. This place is no longer safe. Your sister and her criminal friends are still out there. There's nowhere safe in this city for the likes of us. Please, come with me," he stated. Gina stared at him in shock. Over her dead body would she ever travel with him. She would never do that! He's trying to relocate her so that Tina will find it hard to locate her.
