“Hello, Jay?” Manager Lee greeted from the other end.
“Yeah, Lee Yong, what’s up? Where are you? You haven’t shown up in front of me all this time,” Jay asked a bit tersely, as his manager hadn’t returned since he was examined by that beautiful doctor.
“Oh... yeah, sorry! I went to settle your paperwork, and now I’m getting food for us. I’ll be there shortly,” Lee replied quickly.
“Oh, alright. I’ll wait for you. I want to get out of here now. I have things to take care of at home,” Jay said, feeling a bit calmer.
“I’ll be there soon!” Lee responded.
“I’m waiting!” Jay replied, then hung up.
‘Why did he leave me here alone? I’m not seriously injured,’ Jay thought, feeling uneasy in the quiet room.
Not long after, Manager Lee arrived at Jay’s room. Jay looked at him with a slight pout.
“Let’s eat first, Jay. Before you leave here,” Lee said, trying to ignore Jay’s expression.
“Yeah, I’m really hungry since I haven’t eaten since practice earlier,” Jay replied honestly.
The two of them ate heartily in the room without much conversation. It didn’t take long for their food to be finished—turns out they were both very hungry.
“Let’s get out of here now,” Jay said, standing up slowly with a cane in hand.

“Hehe... alright then, I’ll be heading out now. I’ll come back tomorrow for my ankle check-up,” Jay said with a sweet smile.
“Sure. We’ll meet at therapy tomorrow so your ankle heals quickly. See you again!” Dr. Meinny responded with a warm smile that revealed her perfect dimples.
“Yes, see you tomorrow, Doctor,” Jay said, then walked away.
Meinny, watching the two men leave, continued her treatment for the young boy.
