BELLE'S P.O.V
It's been a year since I came here, and now I have a few friends that visit me from time to time.
Their names were Benedict, Marie, Trinity and Ezekiel. They helped me when I needed to pick some flowers in the garden. They were my neighbors.
I met them before when I was shopping in the village near this place, and then I got into a problem as I am not familiar with the area.
I got lost. But then, I met them, and they helped me go back home.
It's how we all started to know each other.
They are nice to me, and they are fun to be with. They teach me a lot about this place and guide me if I need them.
So I did my best for them. If they happened to need me, that is how our friendship works.
Before, they were not really comfortable with me being a countess. But then, they get accustomed to it by the time as I always act like they're friends. That is because I want to be their friends.
Even before they work in the village near this place. The boys work as a salesman or helpers while the girls work as dancers.
They are pretty good at dancing because I had seen them before and it was when there was a festival in the village, and they wanted me to go with them as it was my first time experiencing the festival.
So I'm going with them.
I went with them, and I saw them dancing ballet.
They were ballet dancers there, so cool that I wanted to have them. But I should stop myself as if it was not correct.
Now we are just seeing each other when we have time as they are also busy in their lives, but when I have free time, I visit them with their work.
"Do you like this?"
I'm with Sebastian, he's also my neighbor, but I think he has feelings for me.
I am not assuming, but we have met since I came here.
I can feel that he is interested in me because of how he treats other people around me versus how he treats me.
It is two different things, and you can really tell that I have a special place in his heart. Although I am not sure how deep it is already.
We are now getting fruits because we went to the village near the mansion.
I don't really want to go out, but he came this morning to the mansion. He asked me if I could go with him to the market because he said there was a special event. Although it will start at night, he wants me to join him in the afternoon.
So since I am not that busy because May and Arkanghel helped me with the documents that I needed to finish last night, I have some free time today.
I've decided to come with him. According to Benedict, I should go out once a week because it will not be healthy if I stay locked up in the mansion.
So that is why I am here in the village with Sebastian.
"Yes, please."
I nodded my head as a sign that I liked what he picked.
It is a fruit similar to a banana, but it is red. It's also a lot bigger than I have seen before.
Sebastian surely knows how to pick what is the best fruit, and it also applies to other things. He can cook, he can clean, and he can also go to the market.
Sometimes, it's surprising that he's knowledgeable compared to me. Well, I'm literally clueless when it comes to this world.
I'm just thankful that I can understand their language when I transmigrated here. If that's not the case, I'll be doomed. Not to mention that I'm on the brink of death at that time.
Come to think of it, how come this and the world that I came from have the same language?
Hm… I wonder…
Sebastian kept on buying fruits and vegetables. I am also helping him sometimes, but I'm just looking at how he bought them, or I'll just look around.
Now that we're this close, I realize that he's really handsome. He has this masculine appearance, and guess what, everybody in this village- even the people in the mansion likes him.
For them, he is the role model that every man or child in this place should follow. That's insane, but I can't blame them as Sebastian has this aura that pulls you when you see him.
He's like a magnet that'll attract you when you go near him.
If he's going to run for a higher position, he'll win by a majority. That's how great he is…
While I was looking elsewhere, something caught my eye.
"Do you like it?"
I almost jumped when I heard Sebastian's voice.
I look at him and ask, "What do you mean?"
What is he asking me all of a sudden? Did I get lost in thought and didn't hear what he was saying?
Could it be that?
He pointed at the thing that caught my eye.
"That one…"
"Oh…"
I shook my head.
It's not that I like it. It really just caught my eye.
"Have you finished buying?"
Sebastian nodded his head in response.
"Should we eat?"
I was not in my right mind. All of a sudden. Why did I ask him to eat?
Seriously?
Sebastian looks flustered.
"I didn't expect that you'd ask me first…."
I know! I'm shocked too!
"Well?"
He nodded.
Of course, he'd agree.
"Where should we eat?"
He asks me, but I don't really know where we should eat.
"I can't decide. I'll just follow you," I told him.
Sebastian has a taste, and I am sure he will not bring me to a restaurant where I wouldn't like the food.
Sebastian looked around and acted like something lit upon his head.
Does he have an option already?
WELL, I GUESS YES.
Sebastian brought me to a unique restaurant that I had never seen before.
It has the same vibes as those Chinese restaurants back on earth. It's nostalgic because this is the first time I have been to this kind of place.
I roamed around the place, and the furniture and interior design really have the same look as a Chinese restaurant.
I'm pretty glad Sebastian brought me here. I suddenly felt comfortable here the moment we stepped into this place.
"Table for two, please," Sebastian told the girl who welcomed us.
"Yes, sir. This way, please," she said.
She guided us to the second floor of this place and led us to a table for two that was beside the window.
When we are finally settled, I'll let you rest and order our food.
While we are waiting for it, I look around, especially outside.
It is really refreshing to be here…
"Are you all right?"
My gaze turns back to Sebastian. He is now looking at me with concerned eyes.
What's with those eyes?
"Yes, I am all right. Thank you for your concern…."
I tilt my head.
Have I been too preoccupied again for him to think that there's something wrong with me?
We chatted for a short time until the meal arrived.
It was mixed with the dessert and complete meal course.
"This is too sweet!" Sebastian commented on the chocolate cake that he ordered.
"Is it?"
I tried the chocolate cake that he ordered for me, but I think it's not that sweet.
"It is just okay for me."
Sebastian raised his eyebrow.
"I didn't know that you liked sweets.
"Well, I kind of like it…."
Sebastian smiled wonderfully.
I feel like I would melt because of his smile. He is shining…
Goodness…
He really came to a fantasy comic…
I noticed other people looking in our direction but mostly at Sebastian.
They must like him, or they were mesmerized by his smile.
See? This is what I am talking about!
He's like he is collecting his fans every place we go.
But despite those stares, Sebastian doesn't seem like he cared at all. He acts like he is well and isn't paying attention to them.
It's so lovely to be this handsome…
After eating, Sebastian told me the third is a newly built park beside the village.
"Would you like to accompany me there, my lady?"
I thought about it. I think it should be fine since I don't have anything to do now…
"Yeah, sure."
Sebastian's face lightened.
"That's great! shall we go?"
I just nodded my head, and we are now walking to get to that park.
It isn't too far from here, so we just take our time walking instead of renting a carriage or riding a horse.
Although we carry the things we bought, Sebastian's mood doesn't change. As if he isn't tired.
"Do you want me to carry those, my lady?" he asked, pertaining to the bags I was carrying.
"No, thank you, Sebastian."
I smiled at him.
He's really thoughtful…
"Are you sure?"
I smiled again, "Yes!"
At first, it looks like he doesn't want to just let me be like that, but in the end, he just surrenders, and we continue walking.
We reached the park after a few minutes of walking.
He is right about the park, everything looks new here, and everything is beautiful.
"This is really beautiful…."
I couldn't stop complimenting the place.
"Right? that is why I want to bring you here. I know that you'll like this place."
Sebastian brought a one-time used carpet to the vendor beside the park. After he insisted on laying it on the grass himself, he helped me put my things in it.
Although it is pretty uncomfortable for me because it looks like he is acting as my lover, which isn't true, I keep in mind that he is like that…
He is kind and gentle to everyone.
I must not put Malice on his actions. Although he sometimes makes it evident that he has feelings for me, I am still unsure if it is true unless I heard it from him.
I don't want to repeat what happened to me before. I must not be ahead of those things because it is dangerous.
I don't want to experience the same thing as before. I have experienced it once, and it broke my heart that I thought I wouldn't be able to get up again. I shouldn't think of anything, especially others' feelings, except if they told me personally.
I want it to come from their mouth…
"Is something wrong?" he asks me.
Oops, did I look like something is wrong again? Why did I think of that look at me right now; I am in a gloomy mood.
I smiled at Sebastian, although it was awkward because I felt like he's been asking me the same questions for how many times now this day.
I feel sorry that I kept thinking of other things when I was with him. I'm okay.
"What do we have here?"
I changed the topic to change that atmosphere because he really looked concerned to me.
I can see it in his eyes.
Sebastian looked at the park.
"There are pieces of music here, but I don't think they would come today."
"Wow, a music band in a park would be so romantic and refreshing at the same time, but why wouldn't they come today?"
"I think it is because of the festival in our neighboring village. If I am right, it's with happened tonight, so they will prepare to go there and perform."
"Oh, so that's why they will not come here today."
"Yes, my lady."
Sadly, I wouldn't see them perform here. But if they are coming here from time to time then maybe I should just go some other time to watch them and enjoy their music.
There's nothing really that we can do. We just chat about random topics and watch other people enjoy the park.
There was a place for children to play, but it's not like those on earth. There are no slides or swings here that the children will enjoy.
This place is refreshing, but I think this will be more enjoyable if there are slides or swings that the children will use because a children's love can make the place better.
Should I sponsor to build one here?
It would be worth seeing the children smile and love when they play on those…
"What are you thinking?" Sebastian asks me.
He is now eating a sandwich that we take out in the restaurant.
He gave me one, and he also gave me a cup of juice that he also bought in the restaurant.
"I just thought if I should sponsor the building of the swing and slide here."
Sebastian looked confused.
"What is that, my lady?"
I explained to him What are those, and he seemed pretty amazed.
"That would be amazing, my lady. I am sure that the children would love it!"
"You think so too?"
He nodded.
"Then, if you say so, I will talk to the owner of this place to build a swing and slide."
"You are really a good person, my lady," Sebastian told me suddenly.
I blushed a little because of his sudden compliment.
"What are you talking about?"
"It's nothing."
I bit on the sandwich and minded my own business, but I was shocked at what he said.

"It is the reason why I like you."
I couldn't react for a moment.
What did he just say?
Is he serious?
I glance at him, and he is also looking at me.
I was shocked because our eyes met, and I don't know why, but what he said made me more uncomfortable.
I didn't say a word, and I just looked at the sandwich.
What should I say? I am not used to this situation, and I am not prepared!
He shook me big time!
"You know, my lady, this is the first time that I have taken a liking to someone. I am glad that it is you because you are really a good person."
He said those words while looking at me. His eyes are full of compassion and look at me warmly, but I don't know what to say. I am embarrassed because I couldn't get to answer him.
I avoided his eyes, but he laughed at it.
"You don't have to answer me, my lady. I just told you how I felt about you because I couldn't contain it anymore. I am sorry if I made you feel uncomfortable, my lady."
I didn't say anything, but I nodded my head.
We were quiet after that.
When the sun was about to set, we decided to go home. He sent me home.
"Thank you for bringing me home."
"It's my pleasure, my lady."
He kissed the back of my hand before he bid me goodbye.
The guards open the gates for me while I still look at his back. When he is far already, I go inside the mansion.
I am still bothered by what he said.
I know that I am not ready to give anything to him right now. I am not just thinking of having someone right now.
Will he be mad at me? I am disappointed and embarrassed at the same time.
I gave them things that I bought too.
Mary and went straight to my room. I lie on the bed and face the ceiling.
I am tired because of what happened today, but I couldn't sleep for a week because of what just happened.
I still couldn't get it off of my mind. It keeps on repeating, and the more I think about it, the more I am disappointed in myself.
How should I answer him? Should I just tell him that he should wait for me, or should I be honest with him instead that I am still not ready to have a relationship right now?
But the latter would hurt him.
How could I hurt his pure heart? How could I hurt someone who stays beside me?
Although we just met a few months ago, he kept on me company whenever I had to go somewhere because he said he was concerned about me and my safety.
How could I hurt someone who does not ask for anything in exchange for my attention and time?
I had known it since before he wanted to be with me because he wanted my attention.
Although he is not saying it personally or directly, I can feel it. That is also why I came up with the idea that he has feelings for me. I was not sure before that he had confessed his feelings for me. I am now convinced that what I was thinking before was all right.
Ha…
I didn't think that I would face this problem after what happened to Hendrick and me.
I never thought that there would be someone who would want my heart again.
I was just thinking a while ago about how I should wait for him to tell me personally about his feelings, and now that he said it, I am now avoiding him because I couldn't accept his love.
I should have thought of it more before to know what I should answer him.
He must have been disappointed in me because I didn't say anything.
I hope he doesn't get mad at me…
